Every time I'm there, I go in with the thought "THIS time I'm going to control myself". And then I do it again...., It's the only place remaining that I can't control my eating! The food is delicious, no matter what I order: meat, fish, appetizers. I could swear the air tastes better... Full menu, it's all great. Prices? Ya know, I used to say: a little expensive. But it seems that their prices have stayed the same while others have gone up, so I no longer regard Livornos as "an expensive restaurant". The last bill (yesterday) undercut my estimate by about 25%! Anyway, getting more than my money's worth at any price. You get free stuff too. They give you that pizza bread along with the regular bread. Some group vegetables at main course time. And in addition to any desserts you order, a LARGE tray of delicious fruit, no additional charge. I wish I knew where they get that fruit from because I can't find fruit in my shopping that matches it in taste. Oh yeah, also free Italian cookies. The service? As polite and efficient as I've ever seen. The owners (I think they're the owners) come around at intervals to make sure everything is okay. I've never had anything to complain about. My fingers are getting tired so I'll stop here. You've been warned.

When I made the reservation the person answering the phone was so polite so I had a feeling it was going to be a good experience. When we walked in they greet you with such warmth. When we sat down they put two generous bread baskets on the table along with a carbonara and a bruschetta plate. Right then and there it's telling you that they really appreciate your business. I ordered a house glass of wine and I was shocked that it was filled all the way to the top unbelievable. We all loved our food and the incredible service. When we ordered dessert they brought us a complimentary fruit platter. This place is amazing we don't have any place that treats you like this even in Northport. We dine at many fine restaurants and I have to tell you this was the best we've ever been treated anywhere. We will definitely be making the trip from Northport to come here and we know our nephew will frequently be eating at this restaurant. He's Italian and loved it here!

While we waited for our table, we chatted with Tommy who worked behind the pizza counter; he was super friendly and helpful in providing us with parking information in the area Once our table was ready and we were seated, our super nice waitress Grace took our order. We both ordered eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The eggplant was sliced, super thin, perfectly battered and complimented with delicious sauce and mozzarella cheese. It was the perfect balance of flavors and a generous portion. We both took home enough food for another meal tomorrow. This was definitely our first time to the restaurant, but will not be our last. We look forward to coming back again.

The salad was next, they brought us out some extra onions, it was all very fresh. Dinner, everybody's food looked really. There was a couple of chicken parmesans, a couple of chicken cacciatores and a stuffed chicken breast. I was the one with the stuffed chicken breast. It was different from what I normally would have gotten. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The penne was good too, but the think the thing I was the most happy about was the red pepper. It worked I didn't have to fight with it or remove the lid to get some and it was really hot. For dessert we ordered Tartufo I couldn't eat it, but it really good. Other then service being a bit slow everything was really good and everyone lift full and happy!

Recently I placed an order for pick up. When I got it home one of the items was missing. I called and arranged for it to be delivered. That process was pleasant and professional. When the order arrived there was an extra slice added with a handwritten note saying " sorry , enjoy one on us". Now that is customer service, folks ! Highly recommend!

It may be Memorial Day weekend but this meal was all the wrong memories and a living nightmare.
