It's worth a stop on your way through downtown Spokane. I like that Spokane has the Riverfront Park where there are many things to do and see and take photos of. It gives me a little vibe of the San Antonio Riverwalk but less festive. I will say that I expected this wagon to be gigantic, but it's not actually that big. It's big, don't get me know, just a little less big than I thought it'd be. It has a slide down the middle. So, if you've got kids, maybe take them for a little slide. Then go for a walk by the small falls or go on the carousel or use the Suction Goat near by (sounds naughty, but it's not that kind of suck-cion). Although, there are quick a few homeless people around those parts sooooooooooo...... Anyway, I can say I've been and it was moderately decent. The whole river front experience is more to my liking though. read more

Not worth a stop in and of itself, but as part of a whole Riverfront Park package it's a nice excursion. The wagon itself is fine. The big slide gets hot in the summer. There are monkey bars underneath which are fun. It's a family-friendly place in downtown and close to other attractions like the Garbage Goat, Loof Carousel, clock tower, The Hairnet and River Park Square. The immediate area is showing some signs of decay. The blocks that spell Spokane are looking chipped, splotched and grim. The geese and ducks basically run the joint from the path north to the river, which would be a cool place for the kids to play if it weren't a carpet of poop. Still, people keep on feeding em. And bread at that. Give em' some frozen veg people! We don't need to shape the animal kingdom in our own sick and corpulent image. read more

In addition to the garbage eating goat, Spokane also has the world's biggest Red Flyer wagon. It's pretty damn big. About 25-50 people can fit inside it and the handle is a slide. There's always kids there during the day so if you want to go without kids being generally annoying go late. It's pretty close to the nightlife so let's just say things have been known to go down there after closing time. read more

Riverfront Park is awesome, and this gigantic, bright red Radio Flyer Wagon just cements this park as being one of the coolest ones EVER! I see this wagon as a fabulous, smile-invoking sculptural piece, but every time I pass it, I see kids scampering all around it and climbing it and sliding down the "handle"/slide, so it definately serves a dual purpose (i.e., kiddie playground apparatus as well as sculptural park element). I just love it! It brings back memories of the wagons of my youth. And to see kids of all ages enjoying it, and playing on it and laughing all the while, just enhances my opinion of this piece. I was recently in town for the Bloomsday event and I was pleased as punch to see this wagon was still as popular as ever, with SO many families and kids and teens taking photos by it and playing on it. When look no further, you found it. It's pretty dang cool... And pretty dang big, hey, it's the world's largest (I did not fact check that, nor is it visible from space, but it does look pretty cool on a map in satellite view). You know that book, "1000 Things You Should See or Do Before You Die?" This awesome World's Largest Radio Flyer Wagon needs to be in there if it already isn't. I had no idea this thing was in existance until I rolled into the park with some friends and I about peed my pants because I was laughing because I was so giddy to see this thing! I took alot of pictures to show friends back home who all thought I as nuts when I told them about it...until they saw the pictures. Now, they are all jealous I have seen and slid down the World's Largest Radio Flyer Wagon. Needless to say, I highly recommend seeing this. And when I have kids, I will be bringing them to this awesomeness...for them but mostly for me. :-) read more

The Red Wagon is so iconic to Spokane, WA. It was Built in 1990, 26 tons of steel and reinforced concrete, 12-foot-high, 27-foot-long Radio Flyer Wagon. It can hold as many as 300 people. Spiering, the artist spent six to seven days a week for a year building the $36,000 sculpture, for which he received a $30,000 commission. It was created to honor of Washington State's 1989 Centennial. It was a gift from the Junior League of Spokane. read more

We've been here before and our kids love it. However, this time, to our dismay, after watching my kids slide down a few times, I decided to go up as well. There was a couple getting in on it in a sleeping bag with one indecent. Other families noticed as well. Now I've got to figure out how to explain that one to my kids. Disappointing!!! read more

This is a good spot for kids to play, heck the whole park is awesome to walk around. I love the landscape of this park. the only thing that upsets me and i definitely do not like around my daughter is the homeless population asking for food or money when you are trying to watch your kid go down the slide and make sure she is ok, or have smokers all around the wagon thus those that do not even have kids but decide to smoke there, or ah yes how can i forget the drugged lady sitting in front of the wagon with her pants at thigh level exposing her bottom and well you know..... DISGUSTING.....Although i guess some days are better than others but i definitely do not let my daughter play when all of this is around us and other families who are just trying to enjoy the day. read more

DUDEEEEE! this thing is huge...No seriously go check it out. You know you had one as a kid and loved to sit and ride it down hills, this is a new experience you have to adventure on! I've come back to Spokane for a volleyball tournament various times and never fail to visit the river front park...the kids always love the radio flyer...they feed the garbage eating goat and ride the wonderful the carousel... These are 14 year olds.... Just a great place to relax. read more

I have a 10yr old and a 1 yr old they both very much enjoyed there time here. It was hard to get them to leave. Diretions were a little confusing only cause you couldnt see the wagon the way it took us. Good thing we walked around and went under the bridge cause we found it then. read more

Best place in down town Spokane for some late night sexy time in the outdoors. Keep an eye out for chicken heads after dark. Also avoid during all the festivals during the summer time. read more
