My daughter is been there since early this year, and we have been very happy. Unfortunately, life circumstances have been very difficult and had to move farther which we have to look for a new daycare. Our experience was pleasant, regardless the change of management or staff made recently. Our 20m old daughter took a month to get used to daycare and all was fine until her teacher was no longer there, so it took her a few weeks or so to get used to the new teacher and staff; then she made a friend and that made things better for everyone. What we liked about her going to this daycare was all the learning she got from here; she learned the numbers from 1-10 by herself, she learned so many words that impressed all the family. It's easier to communicate with her, and recently she's been starting with the potty training so at home we started to get all potty training together, we're simply thankful for making our child more independent. I believe tuition is great for anyone in a budget, it helped us a lot, besides food and snacks are included so it worked great for us. read more

Do not send your children here. The old admin was great and we had zero issues with sending our child. Once the new management came in things went down hill quickly. New teachers in and out weekly, extreme diaper rash to the point of getting our dr. involved, no security for entering school and picking up child, picking up our child in a completely different classroom and age group from when we dropped them off, the list goes on. These are only the things we caught - I cannot even imagine what occurred once parents were not around. For the safety of your children, DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. read more

I wish zero stars was an option. TCA went under new ownership of Russ Arnold and I couldn't imagine a worse case scenario. He has completely ruined what used to be a family oriented, trustworthy, and reputable daycare. I emailed to cancel enrollment and request my deposit back, as the contract does not state that it is non-refundable. I have emailed a total of 5 times without a response and called 7 days in a row. His employees who answer the phone say they don't know where he is and he only comes to the building after hours. He is refusing to give former employees their last paychecks as well as refusing to pay current employees. Please look at the Texas licensing website to research the recent compliance issues, including allowing teachers to work without cleared background checks. Children's lives are at stake under Russ Arnold's ownership. I have contacted the BBB and encourage others to do the same. Get your children out of here far away from him as soon as possible. My daughter has attended this daycare since March 2019. I am NOT receiving anything or participating in a contest for this review. I have had a great experience with The Children's Academy! The facility is always clean, smells clean and is kept up well by the staff. All of my daughter's teachers are engaged and excited to see her and watch over her so well. I get calls when she falls and bumps her head (learning to walk!) or merely when her allergies are acting up and they want me to be aware. My daughter willingly walks into the room, surveys the kids and teachers there and is happy to stay and play. The leadership at the Academy is always accessible and friendly. I think that, like anything, it is easy to find flaws when it comes to your children. You want it done perfectly and you want it done safely. Since I cannot stay home with my daughter, I always feel good knowing she is with a group of people who will look out for her and call me immediately if she needs me! read more

Our two children have gone here for over four years. It's been a great place for them, and I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for quality care at an affordable price. I have gotten a chance to know the teachers (many who have been the same since the day we walked in), and they have shown such amazing care for our kids. This isn't there current location. They are on country club now. They called today to kick us out. They can't even finish the week and I have work. All because of one thing when I even forgave them in the beginning for almost losing my child. I can not believe they can treat people this way. She puts on this fake smile and seemed so friendly, but there is a horrible person behind it. The way she talks makes you feel like you're crazy for standing up for your child and that she's actually right and knows what's best. It really weird honestly and I should have known just based of that. But it's a private business so essentially she can do what she wants. About them losing my child, their first day for care my mom had to pick them up for me. Ms. Kiera glanced at my mom's ID (WHOM SHE NEVER MET BEFORE, didn't check it against the computer or any records) brought out three kids at once, handed my youngest to my mom another to the other mom and my mom asked where my oldest was. Ms. Kiera said she's right there...my mom tells her that's not my granddaughter. Ms. Kiera actually argued with my mom that that was the only one(with her name) there. My mom was like well that's not mine, where is my other granddaughter, left her locked outside while they figured it out. Thank the Lord she was there, but wow. That should have been my first clue There was no communication from this school what so ever. I picked up my daughter and she had poop in her pants and all over her private parts and they said we cleaned her the best we could and handed her to my husband. Why didn't I get a call saying she needed more underwear? No you just let her sit. When I addressed the director, she said "you make it sound like she was sitting in a diaper full of poop" I said I'm no, I make it sound like my daughter had poop in her underwear period and all over her privates and no one called me...she only cares about the comfort of her staff and not what's best for the children. If it's too "stressful" because they are a private business they can just drop you like it's nothing. They have plenty of kids lined up to go there, so why do they need my business? All I did was ask if someone could ask my 3 almost 4 year old if she has to pee or poop and if it's poop for someone to help her wipe until she can do it on her own(she's almost there). They said it's too stressful on the staff and she needs to move down to the 2/3 yr old class. SHE'S ALMOST 4! They said sorry but that's the only way we can help her. I said no, she loves her friends and her teacher. She's shy, it took her this long to get comfortable. There has to be other staff members running around that can help her once a day. They did it for two days and I just got a call that they are dropping us. It's unreal. read more

This day care is terrible, they have favorites. My son has been verbally accosted by his teacher. The owner and directors all do not care. The teacher is a favorite, it has been confirmed by other teachers that have witnessed it ... still nothing . My two year old keeps coming home saying leave me alone and runs away, I am confident this is due to the constant beratement of his teacher. Had to pull him out, the owner refused to meet with me and discuss the issues. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this facility and staff. We moved our son here after having difficulties with other well-known groups. TCA was the first daycare to really work with us on strategies to assist with getting him to where he needs to be and to listen to our concerns for his future, while providing us with the sort of insight that can only come from years of experience. We love these people as if they are family, and they treat both of our children with the same love and nurturing that you want from someone who is helping you raise your kids within a village. read more

My 3 year old and 3 month old grandsons attend Children's Academy and we are so please with the care that they receive. My 3 year old grandson is learning so much! We enjoy getting to attend the events that they hold for Grandparents Day, Christmas and the Halloween Trunk or Treat. Ok so I felt I had to give this review because first impression are everything for a business of any type. I have to start off by saying I had called this school to first set up an interview to tour and get information for my son. My son has not attended this school nor will he ever. I had an appointment for 3:00 to speak with the director. The day of my appointment I was first concerned because as soon as me and my husband walked up to the school door we rang the bell and no one answered but was let in the door with no greeting mind you after everything that has happen there should be better security by the staff. So yes anyone could just walk in. Second when we walked in the office the director and another lady just looked at us as if they didn't know why we where there. I told the director we where there for a 3 o'clock appointment, and my husband seen that they had a problem with that. She sit us down gave us a folder and said you can take this home and look through it for your child's program. Yes that right no explanation or questions not even a tour that was scheduled. She told us we could schedule another date for the tour and we where basically walked out of the school. Even with seeing the reviews I wanted to give them a chance, but this was horrible if this is the way you treat families I would hate to know how you handle the children and parents concerns. We must do better this is where our children our left for almost 8 to 9 hours a day. This is a warning watch for signs. Our children our more precious. read more

This is a great daycare! My son has been going here since he was 6 weeks old and they take great care of him. We are so glad that we chose this center. We enrolled our daughter at this childcare facility in January 2014 to hold a spot beginning in August 2014. We paid a $50 registration fee as well as a $200 deposit for first weeks tuition. Our daughter started at the school on 8/18/2014. On 8/19/2014, she sustained a head injury, which was documented by the facility. Due to the nature of the injury, and the fact it happened at only her second day at the facility, we decided to remove her as we feared for her safety. I emailed the director the evening of 8/19/2014 our intentions to remove her, and stopped by on 8/20/2014 to collect her belongings and sign the document removing her from the school. On 8/27/2014, our checking account was debited $420.00 by The Children's Academy. I contacted the school, and was informed this was for two weeks tuition which was due as a result of withdrawing her early. I inquired as to why the $250 we paid in January was not applied, and she did not offer anything resembling a good explanation, only that it costs them money to hold a spot. We paid a total of $670 to The Children's Academy for two days of tuition, which ultimately resulted in our 3 month old daughter sustaining a head injury. As a result of them refusing to refund any portion of the $670, I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would caution anyone considering this facility to reconsider based on our experience. read more

I reviewed every daycare I could find in mansfield for my daughter, after staying home with her the first year. We chose them because they seemed really sweet and affordable. Lets just say the extra 40/ wk wasn't worth what my child endured. I worked for a daycare before I know what's acceptable and what's not. Giving the families there free tuition for writing good reviews and voting in online contests is not. And that's why thy have so many reviews. Multiple occasions she came home with bruises on her back and bottom they said she fell down ALOT which was not my child. She had 2 identical horrid bruises on her arms in the same spot I contacted two different CPS agents both concluding it was in fact hand prints from being grabbed. She got bit a total of 7 times, 2 in one day and she was only there 4months. Once again I worked at a daycare I know what's acceptable and that never should've happened. They repeatedly let the children go out in windy cold(55-59) degree weather windshield was 43degrees. my daughter got pneumonia, bacteria in her sinuses, and they would rub her face RAW wiping snot when over the weekend she would be fine at home. my daughter went from being perfectly healthy to having 3 surgeries. They give them inedible foods she lost 2lbs apple sauce EVERY morning with pop tarts(not healthy) and cinnamon toast that was burnt, and she would be filthy when I picked her up covered in dried food. I was to the point I gave my 2wks notice at work to stay at home with my child my job offered me a raise just to pay for a different daycare. I gave childrens academy one months notice which is 2more wks than required. I took her out earlier because we found a spot at Kids R Kids right down the road. They told me I would have to pay tuition for the remainder of my time even though they only require two wks which she had been there. I argued that's not fair and she literally said "that just kinda stinks( but not such a nice word) for you" ( the blonde lady) Kate. And proceeded to argue and be rude when I said I wasn't going to pay for a daycare my child wasn't attending after that I took my child and never went back. She is now HEALTHY and THRIVING she has only been at kids are kids 2wks has began potty training with them (17months old) and learned how to use a actual cup with no lid, fresh fruits daily, they have a CHEF, video cameras to view online, and glass walls so you can see everything, covered play grounds separated by age, gym, computer lab, the list goes on for ONLY $40 more a wk! Choose wisely when you are talking about your child's care! don't regret something that could've have been prevented. Saving 40/ weekly maybe being good but when you are paying for 3 SURGERIES in 4 months it is not cheaper in the end. read more
