Additionally, we expected we couldn't get an installation until early spring since it was already late November. On the contrary...they said we could likely have it up and running before Christmas! And they were right. Not willing to own their lack of management of the purpose of their inspection for repairs. They lean on the customer to direct their inspection of the chimney parts. They are in the business of inspection mainly. Still don't have the estimate since I would need $650 more for them to "inspect" the other 2 flues and then finally give estimate of repair. The customer pays them heftily just to get estimate. Done Right Chimney has done WRONG for me. The companies Yelp rebuttal clearly shows how they "script their scam". My 1st call I had to leave message then she called back. I then called with the Q about inspecting 2 other flues as option for proper estimate then a 3rd call I made to let her know I see on Yelp they do this and upset customers routinely. I never asked for an inspection nor a report, just an estimate. Obviously "the customer is never right " at done right chimney.

I had an issued where I was having water leaking into my chimney whenever there was a rainy day. The other three companies came out, provided a quote, and all came to the same conclusion-that I had an issue with my cap. Done Right then came out to give me a quote. A week or so later I was sent a bill from Done Right for nearly $400 dollars. I called, stating this must be a mistake, and that I was just looking for a quote. I was informed that Done Right does not give out free quotes. This information was never communicated to me, not during the initial booking to have them come out, nor was this mentioned once their crew arrived at my home. The most infuriating part is that they came to the same conclusion as the other companies, and that I had a faulty cap. I have been a home owner for over 10 years and have never had an experience like this before. They were utterly unwilling to come to any kind of compromise with me over the lack of communication.

They said that both flues needed to be relined because they couldn't do 1 without the other vein collateral damage. Quote was $15,000. For that money, I got a second opinion. There is nothing wrong with the chimney. No relining needs to be done. And the second sweep showed us where the Firesafe person had left debris in the stove and vent. Buyer beware AND ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION.
