I've been a gym user on and off at Nuffield for years, I was a member when it was a Greens, left…read morefor a while and returned a year and a half ago. The gym is slowly running down, the machines aren't quite what they were and some could do with repairing. Some of the pulley machines are now lacking clips to attach handles and bars. The chin up stations have had rotating grips for a couple of years never to be sorted. The bikes have saddles at jaunty angles- not really encouraging a prolonged workout. Every where is cleaned regularly though it depends on the time of day how many dumbbells are left on the floor. The pool area is generally clean but I have known members get rashes from the jacuzzi- but that can happen anywhere. The most disappointing thing is that generally the staff don't seem to care anymore, complaining that the air con doesn't work it met with a "yes it does", not even a let me check. The manager hasn't been seen for months maybe he's being wined and dined by Land Rover who use the car park as their own. The gym tries to get new members every month and I was told that at the start of the year they were after 220 new members every month, perhaps to replace the ones they lose. They'll get you to sign up for 12 months and then make it hard to leave. Average rate £50 ish The gym is also haemorrhaging staff- that must say something. In conclusion, the gear is now only average, there are better options and bargain a rate, they're going to need members

This is a very expensive an old gym. They can clearly not justify the price they charge. With two…read moremonthly payments in this gym you could cover the annual fee in a bigger, better, newer and cheaper gym in Liverpool like the Gym Group or Ben Dunne Gyms. Equipment is old, insufficient and customer service is terrible. If you try to cancel your membership they would make your life hell. I would clearly not recommend this gym to anyone.
