This relatively new bar which is just 3 minutes walk downhill from Biosfera Shopping Centre in Puerto del Carmen (tucked away at the side of da Vincie Italian restaurant) is home to the owner and powerful singer, Rory Gallagher....of "Jimmy's winning matches" fame! He packs the place out night after night with unbeatable music and fun, coming on stage around 9.45 and belts out song after song for 2 hours without pausing for breath literally! Brilliant modern music and songs...he's also joined on stage by an amazing Spanish musician, called Pedro, who plays a whole array of cord instruments, then after 12 pm they're joined by another equally brilliant musician for a rock nd roll session! Like most of the music pubs in Puerto del Carmen, there's no cover charge, drink prices are fairly reasonable but closer to Irish pub prices really...I guess it's hard to quibble with that when such good entertainment is laid on.

There's a seating area upstairs with good view of the stage, and seating downstairs by the 2 bars also. There was air conditioning and plenty of wall fans too, which is ideal. We went as a large group with the youngest being 13 and oldest 49, there were family's with much younger kids there too and everyone enjoyed themselves. We had been to plenty of live music bars on our holiday but this was the best by far. Rory starts the set off on his own playing acoustic covers and then works his way up to a full 3 piece band! They played everything from chart music, pop classics, indie and classic rock. They also integrate a few of their original songs in as well. The venue opens around 8 but the music doesn't start till later, however I would recommend getting there for 9 and finding a seat as the place is full very quickly.

Located on the main promenade in Puerto del Carmen, this place was always busy which prompted us to…read moregive it a go. The menu has all your usual American type offerings including burgers, ribs and steaks, but they also offer Pizzas. The waiters were all really friendly and the place has free WIFI which was a huge bonus in Lanzarote where most hotels seem to be lagging behind in the WIFI offering! We got some drinks to start which came fast enough, although we did wait a while for our food order. I went for the Vegetable Club Sandwich which was pretty tasty - layers of toast, egg and salad with a lovely big salad on the side (salad stuff always tastes better on holiday and I opted for this over the standard chip offering). My dining partners (ie my folks on this occassion) went for chicken kebabs with chips, coleslaw and salad. The chicken was tender and really tasty and they both struggled to finish the hearty portion. As with most places in Puerto del Carmen the food was really great value and at under 35 euro for three people with drinks it was a bit of a bargain. A great place to people watch and very atmospheric - definitely a good call if you're on holiday in the area. The next night we visiting El Patio Mexican and the decor and menus were very similar in style, and I suspect they're owned by the same people.

The food was delicious, I had the BBQ ribs which were perfectly cooked. No one else in the group had any complaints about the meal. However the service as well below average. After we ordered our food, the server never returned to check on us and it took us a while to get their attention when ordering drink re fills or even to get the bill! The atmosphere wasn't what we'd expect either as if seems like it should be a fun place to eat with music and good service but it didn't live up to that.

DONT COME TO THIS BAR!!…read more Lastnight me and my friend decided to come in for a couple drinks was super expensive but we were okay with it if we were going to have a good time, slowly started getting more drunk and i got told by an englishman at the bar that he had seen one of the bartenders attempt to slip something into my friends drink, instantly got rid of the drink but the same bartender proceeded to approach our table serveral times making inappropriate comments and attempting to kiss all the girls, my friend went to the toilets and he proceeded to follow her in and shoved her into the bathroom stall and attempted to r**e her! the only reason this didnt happen was because luckily there was a woman who watched this happen and managed to help my friend out. i went to the security to report this bartender and they shrugged it off as if no big deal and said "if it didnt actually happen its not my problem"!!??? absolutely insane. we proceeded to get kicked out of the bar because we reported the bar staff, it was just before closing so was about to leave anyways. at this point we are a little bit drunk and attempt to walk to our hotel room where 2 bartenders followed us and kept trying to drag us onto the beach, luckily it never happened and i had managed to fight back, they proceeded to follow us all the way back even though i had told them to leave they would run behind us in attempt to catch up.this seems like a normal thing they do as it seemed very planned and thought out, for any other girls reading this please be so so careful here if you do decide to go inside.
