I thoroughly enjoyed all the days, sunsets & hours spent at the driving range practicing This place is just beautiful & so conveniently located close to home. Workers here are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Special shoutout to Sal for going through the extra trouble of locating a more suitable club for me when I wasn't really happy about the one they initially gave (& also bringing it right up to me at the range!) The driving range is pretty spacious & there are plenty (although it does get more crowded later on in the day). There are a few target practicing flags on the range as well. I haven't had the chance to play holes here but I would love to next season!

This is a public course so you don't need a membership. Well, it seems like COVID pricing is in effect, and it's about 10% higher from what we recall. It's the first time I played the Classic and Challenge course on the same weekend. I agree with the person working there, "you play the Challenge course if you want a better score". Even though you would think by calling it "Challenge" and it being a longer course, it should be more difficult. I'm a noob and I scored the SAME score on both courses. I find the greens are easier to putt on the Challenge course. Both greens are a bit on the slow side. I find the rough on the Challenge course had grass a tad too long. I lost a couple balls because I just couldn't pinpoint it on the rough. The taller grass makes it easy to miss the ball even if you're 3 meters away. It's busy, so they will always try to pair you into a group. The spacing between groups however is decent, keeping the course flowing without being backed up too much. A course marshal was there to ensure groups are moving along. A solid choice for a public course.

But I love to come to Bushwood whenever my friend ask me for play a round. The 9 hole executive course at Bushwood is just perfect for me!! My friend can still keep her insanity and we still friend after a round of playing. The grounds are well kept and the fairways and greens always in good condition. (gee I cannot blame the course for all those boogies!!) I usually go during morning have a quick game then we go for lunch, perfect girl's "day" out!! BTW, Bushwood also has another 18-hole Championship Course, maybe I should give it a try next season after more practice! .

The pro shop and F&B staff are always very accommodating of our requests and the food quality is good. For today's round, we got rained out early into the back nine. Getting a rain cheque was no problem. With nothing else to do, we had lunch in the clubhouse. Today's special was a half a rack of ribs with coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs were cooked very well and fall-off-the-bone tender. Nice flavour. The potato salad and coleslaw were properly seasoned. I'm very particular about potato salad and most lack any kind of seasoning. This one was good. As long as St. Andrew's Valley keeps doing things right, I'll keep making the 45 minute drive from home to get here.

Location: It's in Aurora east of yonge Street off on the north side of St. Johns side road. Parking: Golf course in the suburbs= lots of places for cars. They have a main lot and a side lot. You are good to go. Property: Golf course so lots of green. There are three buildings. A club house, a meeting building (where we were) and a barn where I think they keep the golf carts. Great landscaping and the buildings are cute. If you didn't know it was a golf course you would think it was a winery or those little shops that make their buildings look old time ish There's a cute patio off of the meeting building that looks out over the gf course. It's really nice Meeting building: It could be nicer inside. It's an 1980sand 1990s mix. The weird thing, everything seems new. They need to hire a decorator. Salmon paint in the washrooms. Not so classy Oh the washrooms, they have two women stalls in the washroom on the lower floor. Not the best when there's a meeting with a lot of women. You have to walk down stairs to get to them. If you can't walk down stairs you have to go to another building to use the accessible washrooms. That doesn't seem right. Minus one star. Oh they really need to clean the carpets, they are filthy. Visibly filthy Food: Yum The staff is able to take neutral foods, chicken-salmon-veg-pasta, and make it tastes great. Always more than enough for everyone, served on time and by smiling buffet staff. They have a tiny restaurant, banquet, proshop - so tiny, it's actually the same room! The course was in great shape, the greens receptive, the fairways interesting with pinpoint landing areas. Water came into play in most of the holes. I forgot which hole but a par-4 risk reward hole over trees to the right of the tee box can land you on a blind green. One of our team mate landed it two feet from the pin. Have no idea how but we'll take an eagle on a par4. The banquet was a buffet style with the usual make up of salad, chicken, steak, and all the fixings. A great time was had by all, especially our team as we won the tourney without any creative mathematics and accounting!!! Cheers!!!

Wow, what an upgrade this outdoor driving range has gotten this season. TopTracer machines are at…read moreeach station in the middle section, and when you download the app and create a profile, you can track your distance of your ball for free. Only during warm up or Top Tracer 30 option, will they track your distance/performance in the history on the app to give you insights. You can even use it to play a game or use targets to simulate holes from different golf courses. It doesn't record my longest shot distance when I played a simulated hole from a golf course. It would instead record the distance to the pin. The mats on the right or left side don't have these machines. This place is still busy as ever even on a weekday night. We were able to score a free basket by collecting points. It makes practicing so much more fun! I went through my basket quickly playing this, and it motivated me to get better. Now this game changer solidifies this place as my favourite driving range in the city. There is a putting area to practice and an area for without a pin for chipping perhaps. However, there's sometimes a class going on there. I've heard the owner can be pretty harsh, but I have yet to interact with him and have been here many times without hiccups. He has left us alone every time we came here to practice. This driving range and another near the airport are the only ones in the GTA that use these TopTracer machines so it'll get us coming back for sure.

Just avoid most of the older guys in the golf carts and you'll be fine.

Unfortunately, it started raining a lot harder while we were eating and then came the hail and wind. We never made it out to the golf course. We would have needed a canoe to get around out there. Played 18 holes here, first nine at Parkland, last nine at Forest…read more It was corporate golf tournament and I was coming from the states that morning and wasn't bringing any clubs with me so I called twice in advance to see if they could set aside some lefty women's clubs for me. They said sure and took my name. When I got there, about 1/2 hour before our start, they told me they don't have any lefty women's clubs at all... and it wasn't that they ran out-- they just didn't have any! That was frustrating since I had called ahead to check. Lefties never get any love! They did have one set but it was graphite and it might have been mens, which is probably why they said it would be heavier, but I didn't have any problems with it considering it was a one time rental. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and gave our group towels to keep our cart seats dry in the rain. The course is just beautiful with a variety of Par 3, 4 and 5's and the weather improved for us as we played. Nice locker rooms and facilities at the club house. They do cater on site although the food was just decent and nothing to get excited about. I believe this is a members only club so, if you're in the Toronto area and can get a member to include you, this is a great stop for a day of golf.
