The scenery is very good, the costumes are excellent too. there is a car park on the doorstep - so it is very convenient. I have never been to a play here yet that I haven't enjoyed. They also put on a very good variety of plays - from comedy to tragedy.

A chilled out sunday vibe was desired last week and I got more than I bargained for. The place was busy but relaxed and there was the added bonus of it beinng an open mic night. (which, I think is a weekly thing. (I think) The decor of this huge pub is something that has to be experienced. In fact it has all the features I like in any building. High ceilings, exposed timbers, brick walls housing industrial artefacts and a gorgeous feature glass frontage (with a tranquil scene overlooking the canal) all make for a perfect setting for a great evening in my book. During our stay, we dined in the hotel for both breakfast and our dinners. Our dinners were excellent. The fish dinner was beautifully prepared and presented. There was a cheese selection that featured local Welsh cheeses that was first rate. Note: Our server was excellent. She was a local woman who had a complete knowledge of every dish, dessert and cheese. So, a tip of the hat to Rhianne, the Chief Steward who made every effort to serve us well.
