I was enthralled by their vegan kotthu, which is basically impossible to find where I'm from, so I decided to give them a try.
They have a nice selection of all vegan items (9 items of varying sizes and priced), plus the kotthu and fried rice. I got their vegan kotthu (£8), parippu (dhal; £4.50), and kale & cabbage sambol (£4). Everything was great, especially the kotthu, which I asked for them to amp up in spiciness -- perfectly done. The spice mixture was fantastic, and the addition of little soya meat balls added another nice dimension to the texture. The other two dishes were good too: the dhal was creamier than an Indian one, with a slightly different spice mix -- very nice; and the sambol was also super nice.
Service was friendly but slow; it took about 10 minutes for the server to notice me after being seated -- I had to flag her down. But after that, things went smoothly.
I don't know what previous reviewers from 2019 were on about, but, either things have changed, or they don't know what they're talking about!
All in all, delicious vegan-friendly Sri Lankan food. I would definitely return, especially for the kotthu. read more
