DINE IN DURING PANDEMIC…read more One way in, one way out, mask/face shield/temp/alcohol hand wash/questionnaire mandatory when walk in. Most patrons and workers wore only masks. Staff are friendly and shout greetings as you enter. They're hardworking, efficient and you can ask any one of them for assistance. You order at the counter then they bring the food to your table. Many menu items are not available, so ask before ordering to prevent disappointment. After ordering we chose to sit at the table furthest away and most isolated from the others. There was a screen and a fan facing away from us: hubby said it was to blow the Covid germs the other direction HAHA! They have a nice, spacious dining area with comfortable seating both inside and outside. We ordered the sausage breakfast. The "toast" was very pale, next time I'll have to tell them "well done". Other than the toast, breakfast here is always a solid choice. Because of the pandemic we rarely go out, so to celebrate we had the Tiramisu Macaron and Affogato for dessert. The ice cream in the Affogato was too sweet for me to eat by itself; but it balanced perfectly when paired with the bitterness of the coffee, not bad. The macaron, on the other hand, was meh. I'm sure it would have tasted much better fresh from the bakery; but the macaron was already stale. I'm sure we'll be back when we're in the area. I went here with friends and we got a booth upstairs. It wasn't too loud so I was able to get some studying done. I ordered an iced hazelnut latte and it was good! Maybe kind of pricey it was 160P. Didn't try the food but the cakes are 100 plus for a slice. Come here for the studying environment. It is very cute. I was here on a Friday night and it wasn't completely packed. Hopefully I can go here earlier in the day so I can really study all day here. It is open until 3am! My issue is that there is no wifi...only good thing is that less distractions but sometimes you just need some good wifi while studying. Excited to come back here and study even more :)

But what I love about this cafe is their booths for seating. If you are fond of sitting in the floor or lying down, then this place is for you! It's a great place to hang out with your friends, chill and it is also a great place for study. They have ample electric outlets which make them also a great place to work or charge your gadgets. One downside is that they don't have wifi, which is one of the things I consider for a perfect hangout place. But if you do want to really talk and hangout with your friends, this will be a good place for you.

It was nearly a year after its opening when I finally got to try this restaurant. The name sounds…read moreJapanese but it isn't... I think the words were selected because one sounds like "yummy" or something like that. My cousin told me she and her friends like this place (they would--they're tweens). She ordered one of those flower pots. It's like a pot with a cupcake in it (the flower is fake, but I think it costs Php 80.00 extra). The place looks really cute and girly (read: not my kind of place) and the chairs are rather tiny. My knees would bump on the little table too. Not for very tall people. So I think we ordered the tiny burgers and the fries which are nothing to write home about... they're just...okay. The ingredients aren't anything special, but very interesting concept with the pizza fries. I'm going to try making that one day, with better cheese (the secret to making anything awesome is cheese, I tell you). Now, the thing on the menu you have to order are their drinks. They have cute names like "Once Upon a Nutella," "The Three Maltesers," etc. I had the one with the tiny Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, so it was salty and sweet at the same time. Anyone would go into sugar shock with the sweetness, so I think I requested just 3/5 sugar, but they'd sprinkle this colorful sugar on top of your drink, which looks very cool on instagram. We decided to order a slice of red velvet cheesecake (I think) and a slice (or square) of blueberry cheesecake (as takeaway for my mum) and they were tiny... so a little disappointing. The red velvet wasn't that great; the cheesecake wasn't cream cheese-y. It was quite bland and not rich at all. It tasted like paste, actually. I think my mom didn't really love her dessert either. I've definitely had better cheesecake. So, I'd probably give 4 stars for my drink, because-- duh, presentation and instagram-worthiness. But overall, for the concept with the movie house thing (there was a group of kids watching a film when we ate there and they looked like they had a lot of fun), the cozy (albeit cramped) space, and the decor and for making me feel like giant Alice in Wonderland-- all good things, but then, the not so special food, the cakes -- I'd have to say three stars. I might go back for coffee, but not for the food. * EDIT: Oh, and they sometimes offer Buy 1 Take 1 deals for their drinks on their anniversary, around May if I'm not mistaken, so that's cool.

When in Rome, act like a Roman, right?…read more But once in awhile, it's kinda nice to have a quick taste of your "norm," even if it's just for a few minutes. Located on one of the busiest streets of Dagupan, Starbucks is a welcoming sight for sore eyes. After running a few errands around the area, it was a good stop to make for something cold and for a snack. Parking was a challenge. There are about 4 spaces up front that can be shared by patrons of all the other establishments in the area. We got lucky to score one of them. We walked in and I immediately liked the open and welcoming space. It was quite inviting. There wasn't a line, so we took our time putting in our orders. Now, I'll admit, a couple of us took a minute to make up our minds, but the cashiers were patient. They also suggested a couple of cakes and pastries. Now, I'm not a sweets person, and I usually just take a bite just to say I tried it, but gotta say the crepe cake was pretty damn good! Good enough for me to eat almost half of it! That, I would recommend. Free WiFi. Place is clean - clutter didn't last longer than a few seconds since someone was always around for immediate clean up. It's a good place to chill. Me likey.
