This is a spot located in the plaza with the Little Mermaid Fountain. The plaza had a lot of empty storefronts and is at the edge of the main tourists streets. It's a smallish shop with not a lot of seating, but it offers different comfortable options at some tables and cushioned seating around a coffee table. Local vendor crafts were on display for sale and an area stored communal games to play. Customer service was terrific from a very friendly, pleasant, & helpful lady. We ordered an Iced Chai Latte (spiced vs vanilla), a Cold Brew, & a Lemonade. We actually wanted their "Lemonade of the Month" which was strawberry, but she apologized that they didn't have anymore strawberry and offered other alternatives. It took a little while to get our drinks prepared, but she acknowledged the wait & assured us they would be out soon. She brought our drinks out to where we were seated. While she was diligent with cleaning areas after customers left, other areas around the windows, strings of lights, & plants were dusty with spiderwebs. We really enjoyed our very tasty drinks and had a nice leisurely time here.

The Coffee House by Chomp is such a thoughtful, welcoming space tucked right into cozy Solvang, California. The ambiance is bright and open with plenty of seating for solo sippers, groups, and there's even accommodations for families. They have a fun corner for the kiddos and a jar of dog treats for the fur babies. The staff? Super friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful each time I visited (three times to be exact). You can tell they care about their community with one area of the shop offering fliers and pamphlets featuring city events and activities along with business cards. Drink wise The cold brew wasn't quite there for me--lacking that bold and smooth edge I look for. It had more of a 12-hour brew flavor consistency. The hot latte (with oat milk) was lovely: creamy, smooth, and just the right consistency. The lavender honey latte (with oat milk) was the star. It was lavender-forward (in the best way) with honey softening the edges. The espresso was subtle but present, rounding it out perfectly. This place has heart, good drinks, and great people. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area--or just passing through this charming little town.

Was on a walk and came across this little coffee shop. The barista was very kind and welcoming. I asked her for a recommendation and she recommended a crème brûlée and a peppermint drink. I don't like peppermint so it was a quick choice for me. Best coffee I've had! Great recommendation. Also there's a cute little fountain outside of the building & a comfy couch. Highly recommend

Such a cute little coffee shop, although the entrance is a bit off the main street. Employees were super-friendly, the inside has cozy seating options, and their coffee was great! We had the snickerdoodle latte (sugary perfection) and a golden latte which was solid.

Staff as friendly. The coffee was and stayed piping hot. They had a large selection of pastry items. This coffee shop has a large space where hey show case local artists and their work (specifically knitting at the time we came). The pastry was yummy, we got a cinnamon roll scone. And the coffee was ok. It was a bit too sweet and bitter for my tastebuds.

I was in NEED of a coffee just how I like. This place satisfied my craving for an iced honey lavender latte. Service could've been better though from the gal taking our order - not the friendliest. They offer a large variety of flavors like your classics, hazelnut and vanilla, but also rose, toasted marshmallow, amaretto, creme brulee, to name a few. We got 2 scones: mocha espresso chocolate chip and I forget what mine was, but both were tasty. Get them warmed up :) The shop had plenty of seating indoors but they also have outdoor seating on the side and you're in the shade! The artwork is unique and definitely catches your eye. I would happily return here for another coffee.

We got here at 7:30am it was closed there window sign clearly says 7am didn't get to try there coffee unfortunately but when a business says a specific time I expect it to open at that time maybe they need to adjust there time on Sunday if they cannot open at 7am read more

This place makes great coffee and the location is perfect. You just grab a coffee and walk downtown. The have great service and can modify your coffee however you want. It is kid friendly and unfortunately due to COVID one of their areas inside is currently closed, but can't wait to hang out here to study when COVID is over. read more

Terrible service and worst coffee I've had. There's a reason this place was empty. There's many other great spots for coffee nearby. I recommend people look elsewhere for coffee. It's a cozy spot but that's about it. read more

I stopped by while visiting family for the New Year! It's my 3rd time coming here and the service was great as always. I love how their menu changes with what's available/in season! Super fast when we went. All I bought was a Vanilla Blend to go but the atmosphere is super relaxing and calm. It's a nice place to sit down and relax when the shops in town can be overwhelming. Stopped by this coffee shop while spending the day in Solvang and it was so lovely! We got a matcha, and two flavored steamers (pumpkin spice + strawberry) and they were so delicious. Went in today and the owner was working, super sweet and super helpful. Really liked the fact that she bakes her own pastries and had gluten free options available. I had a vanilla latte, was a bit sweet for me, but still good. My boyfriend had the Cold Brew and he liked it a lot. Love this place. I haven't been since Covid since the hours were pretty restricted but I was able to go the other day and it was great. The vanilla bean blended with coffee was super good. The gal working was so sweet and super pleasant. If you're in the area, make sure to stop in. read more

The staff are so friendly and there is a really wide selection of flavors available for coffee. I definitely would've like more breakfast options outside of just pastries and yogurt and granola. There is wifi, and also nice indoor and outdoor seating options. Definitely recommend for a nice coffee visit in Solvang! read more

This place is cute, and has a great menu. I had the spiced chai latte. They had three chai options: pumpkin chai latte, spiced chai latte, and vanilla chai latte. They said the most popular is the vanilla chai, because the spiced chai is a little too much for most people. I usually really really like spiced chai, the spicier the better. This one seemed way over powering, and I would suggest that in the future they add some vanilla power to this to tone it down just a big. Now I wish I had gone with the pumpkin chai. I will definitely try this place again in the future. read more

This is by far the best coffee house in SB County. Amber not only brews amazing coffee but personally hand bakes all of her muffins, scones and other goods on the premises. Everything is locally sourced. It was the best blueberry muffin I've ever had. If you are tired of outsourced baked goods and want to support a local you have to stop in at Coffee House by CHOMP. read more

I saw the sign for the coffee house while driving by and had to stop in! I came in on 9/27/2021 at 3:30 and ordered a iced vanilla latte with oat-milk. It was SO GOOD!!!! I wish I got the name of the girl that took my order/made my drink! She was so sweet!! Also such a cute and cozy place to do homework. There's plenty of space inside for seating. The woman working ranted loudly about COVID being "just a little cold" as her children ran around maskless behind the counter and everywhere else. The coffee was average. Baked goods were subpar. Just go somewhere else where you won't catch the "little cold" of COVID-19 from some child touching your order. read more

This is better than Starbucks, which really doesn't say much because Starbucks coffee is very harsh on your stomach haha. So..... this is the best coffee place I've ever been to and definitely the best in Solvang. They have coconut milk too and the coconut milk late is AMAZING! The tea is organic and so good too along with the goodies. read more

Love this cute little coffee shop, with great coffee and pastries! The staff is so happy and the interior is perfect if you need to meet with a friend, work on your computer or meet for playdate with your kiddos! Established in 2018.

We are a new business operated by owner and locals. We have always wanted to open a coffee shop and bakery. During travels around the world, we have sought and observed cafes, that we could bring traditional coffee house experience home. Enjoy our warm atmosphere and please sit awhile! Bring a friend, your kids, a book, studies or work. We welcome you with open arms!

Just like a regular pancake, you can make it as sweet or simple as you like. I prefer to coat each bite with the tart jam and a side swipe of the sugar. The inside is warm, comforting and so good! The decor gives off an old-fashioned ice cream parlor feel that fits perfectly with the area and makes the experience a little more memorable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, happy to answer questions and help us decide on flavors. We ended up ordering the Sea Salt Cream & Cookies on a cone, and it was delicious. Creamy, rich, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely one of those flavors you'll be thinking about long after you've finished it. If you're in Solvang and looking for a sweet treat, this is a great stop. Friendly service, charming atmosphere, and some really tasty ice cream. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

We enjoyed authentic Lebanese coffee along with delicious pancakes, bacon, and eggs--everything was fresh and full of flavor. Sometimes the best places are the low-key spots that locals know about. No wait, no line--just great food and genuinely kind owners. They also have an amazing selection of ice cream that looked incredible. Upon entering, we realized how hot it was inside - like uncomfortably hot to the point where I got overwhelmed and just needed to get out of the shop. Before I did, I bought 2 packs of their Danish Haribo gummies that I had never seen or heard of before - we brought them back for a friend of ours who loves Haribo! I also noticed their massive glass counter display of Danish pastries - they looked amazing! We didn't buy anything from them since I was in a hurry to get outside, but man...did they look tasty! I did notice that they had a nice seating area in the back to enjoy your items - that is, if you can stand the heat. Staff at the counter and register were super friendly! I would definitely come back next time I am in Solvang and brave the warmth to try their pastries! Check them out!

The dining area has a great combination of classic American diner and Solvang ambiance that really lives up to the town vibes, and since Solvang was built up in its current form as a "Danish town" in the 1960s, that seems pretty accurate. This is pretty much a go-to stop for me when I'm in the area. Although there is usually a wait, the service is pretty quick. If you don't want to wait they have a convenient takeout window. Plus you can buy an aebelskiver pan and mix here! (Pick up some of the Bestemor's Raspberry Jam while you're there and you also won't regret it)

Recs: Walnut Fudge - Maple Pecan - is a bit overtly sweet in my opinion, but it becomes less overwhelming as I eat it - still quite good.
