He said that he forgave her, but my attitude is it was just nothing to forgive. I just felt this was inappropriate behavior for that I will never attend them again.

First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn is member of the United Church of Christ denomination. The congregation is extremely welcoming and voted to become an Open & Affirming church - welcoming everyone on their faith journey. Dr Lillian Daniels, the Sr Pastor, and Seth Carey, the Executive Associate Pastor have both written for the UCC Daily Devotionals. Their sermons are thought provoking and relevant to the problems we all encounter. The music program is eclectic - with two wonderful adult choirs that perform everything from Handel's Messiah to U2's Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. There are also great smaller groups that do modern songs to complement the message in the sermons. The church has a full Christian Ed program encompassing Young Children in Worship for K-2 ; an experiential rotational model for 3-5, a 3 year Confirmation Program for Middle School and Sr High Sunday School classes. The programs continue in the summer months as well plus there is a wonderful Vacation Bible School. program in June. There are also 3 active youth groups - TFSquared; Jr High Fellowship and Sr. High Fellowship. Jr and Sr Highs each lead a service once a year, Sr High travels on summer mission trips - this year's is to Boston MA. Jr High does a local mission week during the summer. The church recently began to offer Jr and Sr High the Our Whole Lives program through a series of retreats - a denomination sponsored program that offers a Christian Sexuality Education Programs. Michelle accused me of abusing the organ, but she has no proof. I had direct communication with the organist, so she can't know what happened. Michelle wasn't even there. What's more, she hasn't talked to me in person at all. She also didn't like my last post, and so she's punishing me for what she did not like to hear. I especially enjoy the services where we are able to 'unplug' from the Barrington church. The children's services (Promised Land) are fantastic. This is Spirit-filled (church that believes in the Charismatic gifts and that supernatural signs and miracles are for today) but one would barely realize it in a typical service because they keep the Holy Spirit approachable to anybody that walks through the door. There is a prayer team every Sunday morning that prays for all your needs and physical healings. Many miraculous healings have taken place here. My wife and I are in our 20's and found this community and Pastor Dave to be instrumental in our faith. Pastor Dave walks around and talks to EVERYONE after service. He is so relatable and nonjudgemental. Definitely the closest a pastor can be to a loving father figure.

The church is highly involved in the community as well as outreach programs. Def a great place to worship! Services are only on Sundays, which is not ideal for people who have to work on Sundays (ex.medical profession).
