Just another crappy recruiting agency. Wasting your time just to ghost you, which is typical of recruiting these days.

South Shore PC Repair - Terrific!!

South Shore PC Repair

Solutions suggested by online techs from the major retailer (who shall remain nameless) sent the virus to my working computer and wiped out my current Windows account. Said retailer, (who shall remain nameless,) then refused to take the computer back. Days later, a Norton tech (one of many companies I worked with online) was able to restore my original Windows account, but with presets lost. I limped along on my project. Then my keyboard failed. I had only the virtual onscreen keyboard. Techs blamed hardware and signed off. We're up to Friday, July 3rd, eve of the 250th celebrations. I knew it was time for an onsite rescue, and a friend recommended PC Mike. I left a desperate phone message, hoping to hear from him after the weekend to make an appointment for a visit the following week. To my surprise, PC Mike called me back a couple of hours later, listened to my woes and said, "Maybe I can solve it from here. Let me sign in and have a look." He was calling from his holiday vacation getaway! It took him less than ten minutes to solve the keyboard problem, and another half hour, less, to solve the problems the techs from the four major companies involved had spent hours on and failed - I had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! After the holiday, he performed even more amazing feats settling me in properly to this new computer and I can tell you, the mouse-pointer moving around on the screen while he works is like watching a magic act, with incredible results. He not only knows the secrets of menus and internal workings perfectly, but he is also a speed-reader and wastes not a moment of your time. A true Wizard of the Machine! Call him "Magic Mike" and call him when you're in trouble! 781-923-0777. Ramona Wheeler

My 11-yr old PC was especially slow, plus it was acting up to the point I thought it had a virus. Mike analyzed the problem quickly and determined, like most of us, it was old. He helped clean it up and tweaked it so it runs much better. He also gave me the parameters to look for when I decide on an upgrade. His rates are reasonable and he is very dependable. I highly recommend Mike for your PC needs.

While trying to get it back up, I noticed it was a 12 year old preowned and they no longer even made the drivers I needed. We called and they sent someone to pick up our tower and asked them to advise on a newer PC. I got a quote for $599.00 for top of the line PC. They were able to copy my files and install them. I was told I would have a loaded computer with the newest microsoft office ( it turned out to be 2017) and an anti virus, top of the line. It was an anti virus that I had to keep re-installing. Then, I tried to play music on my new computer and there was no internal speaker like I had with my other one. I bought a pair of speakers on Amazon and figured out how to install and enable. Luckily, the store sent a really great guy o deliver and set up my computer for me. It was tricky. The total bill was a bit over $1,000.00 . I asked the owner if he would pay his worker for helping me out and he said he was well paid. Not so fast. I ended up giving him $100.00 myself. The owner is not a nice person and when I said this quote was not even remotely close to what we discussed, he said Fine, I will have my worker unplug and send everything back to the store. Don't do it guys.

It was very dead except for a resilient fan motor whirring hopelessly. So I bought it into EliteX with my new external hard drive and asked if they could please save my files. It took them about 2 days to do it, but they were able to salvage everything! To top it off, they also bought my 6 year old dead MacBook to use for parts and gave me a further discount from their already fair prices. EliteX are honest, well priced, and knowledgeable! I can't think of any reason to pay twice as much for "genius" service at the Apple Store. Plus Apple support told me my MacBook was antique so would cost extra to repair, if they could even do it - compared to EliteX who paid me for it!! Don't waste your money, support a local business instead!

Including the parts the total repair would cost me around 250 bucks which I don't want to spend at all. He offered me a good deal of $100 if I sell my laptop to him and he would take care of the repairs stuff. I would never get such an offer for a laptop I thought of throwing in a garbage. Am blessed, I got $100 for it. Thanks Toni. Am completely satisfied with the overall service. This place not only service laptops but also iPads iPhones every electronic stuff, next I am going to bring my broken iPhone for him to repair it. :-P
