Drinks prices are very reasonble, and there are the usual range of Wetherspoon promotions on offer (eg. Currry Club, Beer and Burger). The pub is also a Clould wifi point so you can surf and drink. One of the few bars in Enfield with a late license (til midnight Sun-Thurs, til 1am Fri and Sat). Can get a bit rowdy at the weekend.

However, this charming Fullers pub, directly opposite the University of West London is a lovely find. A solid addition to the chain, with a clean and open bar, friendly staff and good selection. There's ample seating inside as well as out. The 'secret garden' is a great size, a few twists and turns out the back door. In addition to the 'zen' buddas and water features calming the atmosphere, there's also a massive outdoor TV - which must be great when there's a game on. As tradition (not that I know how/why it began) this place sells Thai food. I didn't sample it myself, but I could certainly smell it with the kitchen backing off to the garden. Overall a good pub and I'd pop in again on a sunny day if I was in the area.

Food wise, Juma is doing Iraqi style food led by the eponymous Philip Juma, and is a pretty decent (though not overly brilliant) menu. It's definitely a bit different from the usual middle-Eastern food that will come to mind when you read hummous and baba ghanoush, and it's more of a strange fusion between Greek and middle-Eastern stuff. This is a rare pub to find in the inner alleys of Stoke Newington, but that is half its charm! Wine list is very extensive, they have from many affordable and reasonable bottles to high end bottles. Wine is transferred to a nice decanter for nice taste. Dinner menu price is reasonable for being at Canary Wharf, they have some traditional British pub style food. I was too busy tasting my food as I was trying to keep up with conversation with so many people but since I finished what was served to me, it must not be bad at all. Menu had quite a lot of standard pub grub dishes, but also a few standout dishes like mushroom risotto, pate and steak. I had the bangers and mash which were delicious! Very good quality sausages and a rich onion gravy. Friends had the pate which looked lush! Only downside were the onions rings which were a bit in the soggy side.
