For mains we ate locally caught crab sandwiches and a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise - both hearty, filling dishes giving us plenty of energy for the journey home. The decor is slightly bizarre, featuring old cameras and pictures of geese, and when it was only my friend and I in the cafe one felt as though one had to speak rather quietly for fear of disturbing the calm atmosphere! However this was a delightful tea rooms with generous, reasonably priced, and delicious fare on offer. Seating area is spacious, so plenty of room for buggies, or multiple shopping bags, and also good for quiet chats. Staff are friendly and chatty. I meet friends here once a month, and after missing 3 or 4 months in a row, I was recognised and warmly greeted by the staff.
