Polina, one of the owners,…read more greeted us when we arrived, gave us a tour of the civil war artifacts and the exquisite 15th-to 19th century paintings that hung on the walls of the estate. It was a joy to see the paintings and civil war artifacts up close and have the opportunity to discuss the collection with Polina. After the tour, we settled into the Jenny Lind suite with the jacuzzi tub. It was great to soak in the tub and relax after a busy day and enjoy the complimentary wine and refreshments. Our room was so beautiful, quiet and comfortable. We woke up to a beautifully presented breakfast that was healthy and bursting with flavor. Our favorites were the sorbet and fruit, crostini and the lovey and delightful cheesecake. The small plates of deliciousness are sure to please any foodie. We highly recommend staying at the Shiloh Chennault Estate when you are visiting the area. Polina and Jonathan are great hosts who have a tremendous wealth of knowledge of fine art and military history. Shiloh Chennault Estate is very special treat that you don't want to miss.

They are beautifully decorated with fine antique furnishings. Neatly manicured grounds feature picnic tables and grills, water fountains, telephones, RV waste disposal facilities, 24-hour security, restrooms and weather information. Motor coach parking is available, as well as complimentary refreshments. The Welcome Center staff can answer any questions you have, and can even help with lodging reservations. During the school summer break parents can find brochures of local entertainment. Its proximity to the intersection of Highway 72 and Highway 45 make Corinth an ideal site for one of the state's Welcome Centers. The Alcorn County Welcome Center was completed in 1998. Built in the colonial style complete with antiques from the 1800's.

Downtown Corinth, pronounced locally as Car-inth, has really taken off here of late. There is a…read moremajor facelift going on in a previously desolated area South of the railroad tracks. Two married couples bought a city block on Wick and Fillmore Streets. This area is now called SoCo (South Corinth). SoCo has a hip ring to it, but it seems out of place to me. The first thing I think of when I hear SoCo is SoCal (Southern California) and along with that association comes images of Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Waterparks, Legoland, SeaWorld and Zoos and a population of over 22 million. Corinth has none of these things. SoCo and the historical district offers unique specialty shops, business offices, restaurants, a stately and regal courthouse, churches, and the friendliest people you could hope to meet. SoCo area is taking on a classy look with new curbs and landscaping and the businesses that are moving in are more of the chic boutique types. I'm sure it brings in money from female shoppers, but the area really lacks in offering appealing choices to teens and men. This area, along with most of the town, really should invest in bike parking. The only bike parking available in the entirety of Corinth is at the public library and it offers a dozen slots. If SoCo is looking to be more modern and hip it should encourage healthier lifestyles via biking, walking paths, indoor activities for inclement weather (rock wall climbing, trampoline basketball and hacky sack come to mind). Corinth and SoCo have high ambitions to garner the attentions of tourists, but they tend to fall short of offering meaningful true entertainment for all ages. I'm sure the area will continue to grow at a steady pace, but if it desires prosperity it might need to open its mind to new and exciting ventures for the entire family. Get out of the pigeonholed food and boutique mentality. To Each Their Own.

Once in the door the drinks are setup at a bar off to the side. Tea available Sweet or Unsweetened. Also water. Food was amazing, I will come back !!!

Crossroads Arena just off Highway 45 in Corinth, Mississippi isn't much of a campground at all. As…read morea matter of fact I don't know of anyone that would call it anything other than a rough, uneven excuse for a gravel parking lot. If you're standing on the road looking at the arena, the "campground" is to the right of the building. There were no signs to indicate where the camping area is. There are two 'driveways' into the parking lot, but you'll be hard pressed to find them. There are power pedestals but I wouldn't plug anything I owned into them. The few pedestals each have multiple 30A and 50A outlets, but I can't imagine how you would fit that many RV's around a single pole. Half the boxes were missing the cover so they were completely exposed to the elements. Not at all something that says I deliver reliable power. When I phoned the arena, they told me they have space available and that the sites were $35 per night. I wouldn't even spend the night there if it was free - getting your rig level on the sloping site would be a pill. If you're just going through and need somewhere to stop overnight, go across the street to the Visitors Center. There are no hookups but you will find a nice level parking lot and you'll rest easy knowing a crazy power pedestal isn't going to take out the electronics in your RV.

Ute loves the animals they save so much and she gave my wife and teenage daughters a great tour of the property and introduced them to the longhorn cattle, the sheep, goats and so many other animals on property.
