When I initially reached out to The Covered Window, I was only beginning my major renovation work. I needed input on where to place power boxes for electric blinds to be installed over new sliding glass doors. They were very fast to put me on the schedule to come out and give guidance for this. We were looking to replace some honeycomb shades we were not in love with when we purchased our home. Brian helped us through options that would fit our stated goals and we opted for roller shades on a remote. I contacted The Covered Window about a week after I closed on my new home in Scottsdale. James met me at the property (on time!) and took measurements of all of the windows. He went over several options of plantation shutters for me and blinds in the areas that the shutters would not work. Kelli was super responsive when I had questions, and James knew more than I could've ever thought to ask about our window coverings. I requested quotes from about 5 different vendors, and at the end of the day, I chose them because of how helpful and friendly they were. So many of the places I talked with made it feel like my order was just job number X. Kelli got me a fairly complicated quote (we had some odd window sizes and special requests for a few windows) within the hour, and James worked with us on payment as we were closing on our first house while he had to place the order. He and his son covered the windows in our house in under an hour, if I had to guess. Super efficient install. I even joked with him about wanting to get some better bulbs in our stairwell chandelier (I'm super afraid of heights), and he volunteered to put them in for me while he was putting blinds up in that area. My husband and I had finally decided that after 3 1/2 years in our new home that we needed to invest in blinds. A friend of ours had recently purchased blinds for his new home and due to his strong opinion on lots of thigs, I thought he would be the best consultant for this. When asking if he liked his blinds and if he was happy with the service he received, he couldn't say enough about how wonderful TCW is. So, I decided that I would give 'em a shot. I found a web coupon for a great discount and scheduled our appointment. Someone was out within a couple of days to measure and give an estimate. He gave us lots of options and helped us pick what was going to be the best for our family. We ended up ordering 2" faux wood blinds with the tight close and upgraded valance. It took about 2 weeks for them to be made and they were installed in the blink of an eye. I think all 13 windows took an hour for installation and he did such a great job. We are very happy with the quality of the faux wood, the time it took to complete and install as well as the customer service we received. We would recommend TCW a million times. Very happy with the new shutters we purchased for our new home! We called to schedule an appraisal and they were able to stop by our house and measure before it was even done being built. Shutters went into production and were finished within 4 weeks, just about a week after our house closed. The appraisal and installation were great. The prices were very reasonable, especially in comparison to other suppliers in the valley. All our windows (18 total) cost $5,000 (which I was surprised by, as some of our windows are fairly large). The only downside is the time it takes to install... The installer was here from 8am until about 7pm the same day. I would imagine any shutter installation would be time consuming, however. read more

We got our entire house done, and the wood blinds look awesome. Also they offer beautiful wood valances that are wider (5") than most. Furthermore, the blinds have the feature that with an little extra tug, they seal up very tightly so almost no light comes through! We didn't get our two sliding door verticals done by this company (although we did get the gorgeous valances). The verticals offered are mainly of the textured fabric-variety, and we prefer the plastic ones. So we worked with a different company just for that. However, this company was willing to reinstall the verticals as a favor to us! Excellent service. Finally I have to say the price was hundreds below the nearest competition, so the value is vey high!
