After moving to Seattle from Texas, the thing I miss the most is fresh crawfish. So when I found out Crawfish Hut was getting fresh Louisiana crawfish this week, I immediately went... and omg it did not disappoint. The Hut Special sauce was SO good. So good that I came back 3 days in a row and even bought extra to go The crawfish tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and honestly brought me right back to Texas/Louisiana crawfish season. And the best part? It was only $13/lb which is actually amazing for fresh crawfish in Seattle. If they could get fresh crawfish even just once a year, I'd be happy. Definitely one of my favorite seafood spots now.

This is one of my favorite local spots for good seafood boil. I came with a party of 6 and was seated within 10 min. We ordered the combo 5 which feeds 2-3 people with the house sauce at a mild level. We also ordered the crab fried rice which was a good amount for the table. Will always come back here again. The flavors are strong and the seafood are big!

The food here was AMAZING! I'm from the south so I have pretty high standards for seafood boils, but this place raised the bar even higher! Everything was perfectly cooked and the seasoning was on point! The service was 10/10. Our drinks were never empty, our discard trays emptied every couple minutes, and we were constantly checked on. Our servers name was Tony, and he was awesome!

Great food and fast service! I ordered take out online after stopping at Trader Joe's nearby during my layover. I got the crab fried rice and my friend got the house fried rice. After getting the take out, we just decided to eat in since it would be better than eating at the airport. Wait staff was very accommodating and even gave us waters. The portions for the fried rice were HUGE! All 4 of us were so full afterwards. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Seattle!

I've been coming here a lot lately, and honestly, it's just really good. If you have no self control or are trying not to gain 10 pounds, you might want to think twice before coming in because it's hard to stop once you start. The house special sauce is the real star. It's packed with flavor and really takes everything to the next level. The Vietnamese Cajun seafood boil overall is super satisfying messy, bold, and exactly what you want when you're craving something rich and indulgent. Definitely one of those spots that keeps you coming back if you're in the mood for a seafood boil.

There was a crawfish spot in Seattle that had been my favorite spot for many years. But the last time I tried that place, the flavor totally changed and was not as good as it had always been. And a couple people who also loved that place said this place was really good, so I believed them, and been wanting to try this place for a while. And then I actually tried the location in Stanton, CA first just last month, and really enjoyed it, so when friends invited us out for dinner here, I happily accepted. I got the same thing as that last time: a pound of head-on shrimp and a pound of green mussels in the Hut Special sauce at the Flaming spice level. I didn't find it that spicy, but the flavor was still really good. We all really enjoyed our boils. Staff was friendly, and service was great.

Crave-able crawfish and crab!! My new favorite seafood boil restaurant! My friends and had a great time. We enjoyed some tasty drinks, and shared the crab fries, a combo boil with crab, crawfish, and shrimp with their house hut sauce medium spice. It was all really delicious! Their sauce was exactly what I want in a seafood boil, and the crab fries were perfect. The restaurant is cute and clean. It's very bright and inviting. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I would definitely recommend you to fulfill your seafood boil cravings at Crawfish Hut, try some of their yummy appetizers, or grab some drinks!

I'm so glad a crawfish place that's good opened up near my house. Though it can be dangerous as it is so close! I've been here a handful of times already and it is hands down the best crawfish place I've been to in Seattle. First off, there was never a time where it was too busy that I had to wait, though there were times I did see a line after I was sat. So do make a reservation on a weekend if you come. There is also a lot of parking outside which is a plus. The service here is always quick and attentive. All the drinks I've gotten here are also good in terms of taste and alcohol content. The crawfish and the sauce / spice is so gooood. They also have certain days where they have specials as well too! The only thing is crawfish is always so expensive. Whenever I come here, my portion is almost always $100. Though that is normal with every crawfish place, crawfish definitely isn't a place to eat often.

I ordered combo 3 adding boiled egg and sausage. I chose Hut Special sauce for it. Very flavorful, I liked it a lot!! I really liked that the shrimp was clean and de-veined! The only thing is that I wish the sauce was a little less salty, I eat very salty but this is a bit too much, and the bottom it gets, the saltier it is too, so if you can adjust this it would be perfect!!! Also ordered garlic fries on the side and it was pretty good as well The service is very efficient and friendly! I would definitely come back :)

This is the best seafood boil I've tried in the seattle area. I went on valentines for dinner and they had live jazz which was super fun!! I was most surprised by how good the scallops were, they just melted in my mouth. The hut special sauce was great, we got mild which didn't have any spice. I would definitely try a spicy sauce. I also enjoyed the shrimp and the green mussels. I wish they used smaller potatoes and included more of them. Overall, the servers were really nice and attentive. I will definitely be coming back!

    Yu S.

Delicious. Great flavor on the "hut" sauce. Unfortunately, we had some wussies in the group, so we got a big mild combo for everyone. So my biggest complaint is I wish it was a tad spicier. Everything was scrumptious, and I would peg most of the catches as being on the larger end, including the mussels and crab legs. I did find the umami of the crawfish to be somewhat superior to the shrimp here. There was a bit of sand in the mussels, but I forgive you. I will note that a lot of the food had hard shells requiring some cracking, but all we had initially were some very dull shears. Fried rice was good, but not a good pairing for the seafood. That's not to say that it's bad, just that white rice or noodles is more fitting, as most Asians should be able to attest to. This rice actually does have scallop and crawfish. However, the flavor is still rather muted in comparison. The fries had a good texture has well. The nuance of its crispiness reminded me slightly of checkers fries. I do think these would be better with a tad more seasoning of some kind.

We had a great experience with their crab boil. The hut special sauce (we got mild, not spicy at all and I have a low spice tolerance) was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. We were dipping our fries in it. Their raw oysters were really tasty too! It was a lively ambience but not too loud. They have TVs if you want to catch a game.

Service is kind and fast. Flavors were great for the house special, maybe a bit more garlic would be nice but everything else was good! Loved dipping fries and having rice with the sauce. Adding sausage felt like a ripoff. Probably 6 pieces was max a whole sausage maybe even half of one cut up. Should give more if they're charging $4. Loved having the bibs and gloves. One of the better viet cajun seafood places out there! Fun ambiance too

My biggest issue, is how well the seafood is cleaned. During my last visit, I noticed that non of the shrimp was cleaned. That grossed me out. If I went again, would avoid getting that. I recently had the catfish poboy. It was just okay. It looked better than it tasted. I can't put my finger on why it wasn't that great, but it was just very "meh". The fries were really good though. Services is okay. They always seem to struggle with service, regardless of how busy the place is. But they are nice. Ambience is what you'd expect at a place like this. Nothing spectacular, but not dirty. I would love if they had a better ventilation system. The friend smells and spices are extremely strong! Walking into Crawfish Chef, you immediately get that casual, no-frills Cajun seafood boil…read moreatmosphere--nothing overly fancy, but lively and inviting in a way that tells you the focus here is all about the food. The space is simple and functional, with wooden tables, a laid-back setup, and that unmistakable energy of people ready to dig into messy, hands-on seafood boils. It's the kind of place where gloves, napkins, and cracking shells are all part of the experience, and that authenticity adds to the charm. The star of the visit was Combo #6, a generous spread that comes loaded with 1 lb of mussels, 1 lb of snow crab, 1 lb of shrimp, along with potatoes and corn. On paper, it sounds like a seafood feast--and visually, it absolutely delivers when it hits the table, drenched in their signature house special sauce. Starting with the mussels, they soak up the sauce beautifully. Each bite is juicy and briny, with that ocean flavor amplified by the rich, garlicky, buttery kick of the house sauce. The seasoning doesn't just sit on the surface--it seeps into every shell, making each bite bold and satisfying. The snow crab is easily one of the highlights. The meat is tender, slightly sweet, and pulls cleanly from the shell. Paired with the house sauce, it hits that perfect balance between natural seafood sweetness and spicy, savory richness. It's messy, indulgent, and exactly what you want from a Cajun-style boil. The shrimp are equally impressive--plump, well-cooked, and easy to peel. They carry the sauce exceptionally well, giving you that full punch of flavor in every bite without being overpowered. The texture is spot-on, not rubbery or overdone, which can sometimes be a gamble with seafood boils. Even the sides--potatoes and corn--deserve recognition. They might seem like fillers, but here they act as flavor sponges, absorbing all that seasoned sauce and delivering surprisingly satisfying bites in between the seafood. They help round out the meal and keep it from feeling one-dimensional. What really ties everything together is that house special sauce. It's rich, garlicky, buttery, slightly spicy, and deeply flavorful--arguably the backbone of the entire experience. It's the kind of sauce that makes you want extra bread or rice just to soak up every last drop, and it's consistently praised as a standout feature of the restaurant. That said, while the flavors are undeniably strong, the biggest drawback comes down to value. Combo #6 sits at a noticeably high price point (around the mid-$90 range), and while the quality and taste are there, the portion doesn't quite feel like it fully justifies the cost. You get a good spread, but not an overwhelming one--especially if you're sharing or expecting a truly massive boil for that price. It leans more toward a "treat yourself" meal rather than something you'd regularly order without thinking twice. Some diners have also noted that prices have crept up over time while portions haven't significantly increased, reinforcing that slight mismatch between cost and quantity. Overall, Crawfish Chef delivers where it matters most--flavor. Combo #6 is rich, satisfying, and packed with well-seasoned seafood that keeps you reaching for the next bite. The house sauce alone makes it memorable. However, the higher price tag makes it feel more like an occasional indulgence rather than a go-to value meal. If you're craving a flavorful, hands-on seafood boil experience in Kent, it absolutely hits the spot--but just be prepared to pay a bit more than you might expect for the amount you get.

A Tiny Creole-style restaurant with a small bar and a limited menu…read more I was curious about this place. It's in a tiny parking lot on a side street in Des Moines. It's a small storefront and a little challenging to find. During the pandemic, my wife and I stumbled across it, but it was closed. We did get to chat with the chef-owner. He explained he could not afford to keep the doors open full-time due to the lack of clientele during the difficult mask-up period. He indicated that he would start limited hours soon. So, fast forward to today. The restaurant IS open at certain times, and I advise you to double-check the hours as they seem to change. So, anxious to try authentic creole food, I dropped in one afternoon and sat at the small but nice-looking wooden bar. The bartender lady was friendly and got me a bottled beer (no draft here). I scanned the short menu and asked for a recommendation. She recommended the Jambalaya. I found the Jambalaya extremely disappointing. As you can see from my photo, I was served a gigantic mound of Jambalaya rice. It was sticky, tasty, spicy, and filling, but "Where's the beef?". I felt like I was on a treasure hunt, searching for the protein in this giant mound of rice. I found a single slice of sausage and a few chicken pieces throughout. This may be how some families in Louisiana stretch their grocery supplies, but this is NOT what a customer expects at a restaurant. If this was the recommendation, then I am terrified of what the gumbo or some of the other dishes are like. To make matters worse, the bathroom had no light! I turned the switch on and off a few times, and the light would flicker a little, but I could not see a thing. I had to take out my phone to see where to do my business! After I washed my hands, I discovered the paper towel dispenser empty. When I returned to the bar, I found the Chef-owner leaning on the bar, chatting with the bartender and the only other customer there. Of course, I let him know about the state of his bathroom. "The light flickers?" he said., "Um yeah," I responded. He shrugged like this was an acceptable state of affairs. No apology, no action or promise to correct the issues. Just a matter-of-fact demeanor. Like it was MY problem! I can maybe understand an employee acting this way, but the owner? Is he serious about running a restaurant? Perhaps this is a hobby or a tax shelter; who knows? I will never return. I am a Yelp Elite Squad reviewer, and it pains me to have to award anything less than four stars for a struggling neighborhood business, but if the owner doesn't care, why should I? And now the results: Starting from 5, I detract one-half star from edible but disappointing food. One star for an unkept bathroom with no light. One star for a poor attitude. Another half-star for odd hard-to-keep-track of hours. Then adding my overall experience, I'm going to award a generous two stars. I sincerely doubt, and, judging by the owner's attitude, that he even cares; however, I will say this to him. If you are serious about running a restaurant and competing with the likes of Wally's or Anthony's in Des Moines, then I would seriously give your attitude a check, as well as the attention you pay to your bathroom and the content of the meat in your food. Good luck. BTW, if you enjoyed my review or found it useful, funny, or cool, please don't hesitate to click the little button to say so, or better yet, go ahead and friend me. So go on! Press that button, and never miss one of my epic reviews in the Seattle area and beyond. Excelsior!

The area may not be the best to be alone at night, but if you can brave the place, you can get anything you want from pho to seafood boils. We've come here a few times with family. The pho is a specialty because it comes out in a big stone bowl where you add the ingredients yourself so it is nice and piping hot, which my family enjoys. There are seafood boils and the combos usually come with a side (we usually choose sweet potato or curly fries) which is a nice touch and it is reasonably priced and decently tasty. We've tried some of the other things like escargot on the menu (they were too chewy but the salted egg yolk flavor was different) and they had a famous beef hotpot that I was honestly very disappointed in (it was very pricey for a small portion of noodles/beef/etc and did not feed as many people as it proclaimed).
