Average place. The decor is kinda cool but they could do a lot more with the space. Kinda cool that they have a Nintendo 64 in the corner. The menu was good, but the food was average unfortunately as well... And I had high hopes! Just very dry. Service was pretty good but I had to ask for my espresso three times before they finally remembered. There's better places to go for brunch around here but hey - they're open on Sunday! Also, it's so, so hot in there... Couldn't take it!!

Pretty good sandwiches and a cool venue. We found it on Yelp. The waiter speaks good English and was very friendly. We ordered one of their combo meals and it's well worth the price! My croque madam (I think? I dont quite remember. It has curry in it) is really delicious. And they have wifi!

I couldn't stop saying "How have I never been here before?!" and "I want to marry this foie gras!" I like everything about gourmix. The little sandwiches are of a reasonable size for a mini sandwich, petite but not wimpy. And they are gooooood. I tried foie gras (which is made in house, btw) and onion confit, and jambon sec with pesto. Shannon was a fan of the bleu cheese. There are so many sandwiches on the list that it would be tough to find something you didn't like (yes, they have some vegetarian options). The prices are also mini - two of the fancier sandwiches still ran me under 5 euros all together. To top it off, they are really nice. Whether you're a little hungry or a lot, Gourmix is the place to go. Can't wait to try more of their homemade foie gras next time... and maybe a speculoos sandwich for dessert. En gros: Oui! Il faut absolument gouter le foie gras. Je suis fan!

A must-try when in Lyon!…read more What a cool restaurant in the heart of Lyon surrounded by many other fine establishments. This one stands out for its commitment to great service and outstanding sandwiches (tartines/toast) hot and cold. The decor here is beautiful with the stonework inside with quite a few tables as well as tables outside. Our server was outstanding, we ordered wine, cider, foie gras and egg salad tartines, and a couple of desserts. The toasts were excellent. The raspberry dessert was too mushy and the coconut dessert too dry. But we will be back for more tartines and to try their burgers.

Only one waitress spoke English, and she wasn't serving us - however she did explain about the different specials of the day. Our actual waiter was super nice and patient as we ordered and the food was amazing. We chose one tartine each (party of 3) and cut them into thirds so we could each sample everything. - Tomato burrata tartine with balsamic: very fresh, pretty much what you would expect from a tomato/mozz sandwich - The special that I ordered was pork with polenta and olives. It was amazing!!!!! - Croque Monsieur was also tasty - ham with tomato and cheese. We shared potatoes gratin and a bottle of wine. Really nice meal in a traditional Lyonnaise cafe. Cobblestone streets and adorable awnings - so picturesque!

It's tucked away on a small street just off the river, with a sign outside that just says G. The concept is basically sliders, but the fanciest, best tasting sliders I've ever had! There is an extensive menu with about 100 options, both meat and vegetarian, and they even had an English translation handy, in case your French brain isn't working. I chose a ham+chèvre, a fois gras + fig chutney, and a chicken + pesto. All this, along with a bottle of Hoegaarden, came to less than 10 euros! The sandwiches were ready in about 5 minutes, and they were delicious! Especially the ham one, it was tops. I liked the fig chutney as well. Overall, a great quick and filling lunch stop on a tour of Lyon. And if it's a nice day, you can also get your food to go (à emporter) and sit on the grassy lawn outside!
