It sticks in my mind because some girl decided that she didn't want to hang around with her mum any more, and wanted to hang around me, and the fact that my French is pretty bad didn't really disuade her. Both said they were good. Brasserie du Molard is located in the middle of old town Geneva where all the action is. Great for people watching & putting your feet up after walking the town. Near the free bus lines of Geneva & many restaurants & shops. With 2 Rolex shops, LV etc in view from the bridge on either side, you know you're in the mecca of wealth. Let's begin with the major positive point - The food, which is out sourced, is rather pleasant and a welcome change to most of the grub you get in Geneva. You can tell, hands down, that this is all freshly prepared and tastes like it too. The half ribs and chicken is my favourite, but then again I am a lover of ribs. The pies are tasty and the chips are certainly some of the best in Geneva. The price as well isn't something to grumble about and as you don't order their garlic mushrooms (trust me, thats the one thing you don't want to eat there) then it's a lovely experience. Another positive here is that the staff have always seem to have a big smile on their face. The music is a lot more Irish than in some watering holes and the decor is some what Irish, although less so than the lovely, yet awfully managed Mulligans in the centre of town. If you plan to sit outside (and enjoy the view) make sure you get a reservation. We arrived early on a Friday and were only able so enjoy the outside space for a little bit, as all the tables were reserved for the night. The area is small, so I expect your should make reservations quite early. Cocktails were very expensive- $25 each. Wine and beer also seemed more expensive than at most places. The host staff was pretty unfriendly as we arrived and service was slow most of the night.
