If you're cool with blatant discrimination, this is the school for you!!…read more In January of 2016, I inquired about after school care for my daughter. I was told there was availability and that I should come by and tour the school and pick up an application. Sweet! Oh until I mentioned that my daughter was in a wheelchair. ::record screeeeeech:: Then I was told there was actually a small wait list....it must have slipped the front office administrator's mind...but hey it happens. So we get on the wait list and call to check in from time to time only to be told "there's just one more child ahead of her" time and time again. After several months we talk directly with the owner and straight up ask her if there's an issue with my child being admitted because she's in a wheelchair. She assured us this was absolutely not the case and our child would be the very next one admitted once an opening became available. So TWO YEARS (because apparently this is the Harvard of after school care) go by and within that time we managed to find another place for her until that spot opens up. We actually let it go for a while since we found a nice program that had no issue with meeting her needs, and ultimately that's what we were looking for, but kept her on the list just in case. However today we randomly saw the owner again and asked her about it. She ACTUALLY said no child has been admitted in the LAST TWO YEARS. Like those words actually came out of her mouth. I don't know about you, but that sounds awfully suspicious. I'm bringing this up now in the hopes that they will take a look at themselves and ask what they are getting out of denying kids with disabilities. That and so they can thoroughly brush up on the rules and regulations of the ADA Act. Just in case they need a resource, here is a link to show just how illegally discriminatory they are. https://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm We are also in the process of working with ADA advocates in regards to this so you can also ask them any questions you may have once they contact you. Have a blessed day. I mean that as sarcastically as possible.

We are so lucky to have the staff at Ladybird. My daughter went into their infant room right away,…read morewhich was hard as a new mom. However she *still* loves the teachers so much in that room that we wave 'hello' every morning through the window pane, before passing through to her current room. I love to look at the cameras. As a working mom, all I want to do is be able to check-in and see that everything is alright, and every time I do, each time I'm so happy that I did. I have caught moments of my daughter getting played with my teachers and children alike, moments of her learning how to walk, and/or just being held. There's a lot that goes into taking care of these children and each time I drop off my little one, I'm so blessed it's with these teachers. We moved 1,000 miles away from home, and Ladybird Academy of Oakleaf truly is our village. They have created a friendly space for me to casually talk with them, and I'm pretty good at learning everyones name =] I love that! The new director is great, and hires accordingly. I love that the staff are young and full of life! I see each of them shining in their own way, and love to catch them reading, singing, dancing or just playing on the floor with the children. We as parents ask a lot and I give Ladybird full confidence in the care of my child, and could not say enough good things about them.

I am so disappointed in this facility! Not only was I not told the truth about the services that…read morethey provided, (afterschool homework assistance and that they do so much that all the parents will have to do is feed their kids, bath and bed). When I inquired about the homework assistance, I was told that the teachers have 25 students and they can not help with homework or verify if the child even had any. Then, I was told that the kids would be able to do they online learning only to find out that the facility does not have computers! After finding these things out I had my husband ask what was their cancellation policy and he was told that they did not have one and to just let them know when my son was going to stop coming. So, I sent and email to notify them that my son would not be returning the following week and if they could please reply that they received the email as confirmation. After 4 days, I called twice and no reply, my husband went and asked the staff about the email and the staff informed him that they did receive the email and we were suppose to give them a 2 week notice! My husband said she was rude and very dismissive. My son went to the facility for 2 months and there was 4 COVID-19 cases and which one involved my son (he was negative). He had to be out of school for 2 weeks and we were charged 50% because they explained that they still need to pay staff to clean. (This should have been something they put in the letters when they notify the parents) When children are home fulltime the price of food goes up as well. I did not like their unprofessional approach to doing business. It is not worth me paying the facility $100 a week for my son to just play for 2-3 hours a day and still have to come home and do his homework. I would rather him come home and I pay a sitter in my home unexposed.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS DAYCARE - NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE…read more. This daycare has been one of the worst experiences I've had as a parent. While the caregivers themselves were kind and took good care of my child, everything else about the management and administration was an absolute disaster. In less than 3 months, my child went through 4 different directors. Each time I had to re-explain the same issues over and over again because no one followed up or took responsibility. I am a parent receiving childcare subsidy assistance. From day one, I was told by the first director that I was "good to go" and had no out-of-pocket costs. Weeks later, I noticed they were charging me full price. The second director admitted that KinderCare made the error and said they would fix it--but she was fired a few days later. The third director discovered that I had been incorrectly entered as the full-price payer and not the subsidy provider. She said she'd fix it, but then disappeared a week later as well. By the time the fourth director came in, I had to start all over again. It turns out my paperwork was approved by the provider months ago, and the daycare had simply failed to bill them. Meanwhile, I was being sent bills with late fees and interest for charges I shouldn't have been responsible for in the first place. To make matters worse, the daycare sent messages telling parents to pick up their kids early because they were short-staffed. One day there was even a sign on the door saying children would be turned away after a certain time. That is completely unacceptable--especially for working parents like myself and my husband who cannot just leave work. Final Straw & Ongoing Issues I gave my two weeks' notice due to all of these issues. However, the daycare director refused to sign my release paperwork, which delayed my child's enrollment at a new daycare. Months later, I'm still dealing with this mess despite calling corporate FOUR times. Now they've added late fees on a bill that is entirely their fault. The regional director, Sheena, is not trying to help me. I have called her to explained that they have sent me to collection due to this issue. She still haven't help me or try to fix the problem .If you're a parent considering this daycare or any KinderCare location think twice. The caregivers may care, but the management is completely unreliable and unprofessional. This has caused me emotional, financial, and logistical stress I wouldn't wish on any parent.
