Drinks are reasonably priced and the service is friendly and quick.

The place itself leaves a lot to be desired unless it's been improved since the last time i found myself in there. The walls are not describable they are so bad and if you ever need the toilet in here, i suggest you go somewhere else as they are never useable. If you're lucky enough to find one clean enough to use you definately wouldn't be lucky enough to find toilet roll. It can be alright early in the night, but later on stay away unless you feel like sticking to the floor and finding yourself in a fight. Definately wins the title of cheap and tacky.

Essentially, North Sea Haddock and Chicken Breast dipped and fried in their housemade beer batter. It was pretty good. Why don't we do more beer-battered chicken in the states? They had a great drink menu too, full of craft beers and creative cocktails. I have to admit the tables were pretty grimy and some were in bad shape (foam coming out of chairs, etc). Service overall was so slow and nonchalant (good thing we had plenty of downtime!) and the manager who took our tab was in a foul mood. We couldn't really complain too much though since it was one of the few places open late that wasn't a takeaway on a Monday night. The ambience is what it is, just take your time, enjoy, don't be in a hurry if you come here. TL;DR: If you're okay taking it slow, want decent food, fun drinks and have plenty of time to hang-out then this is the place for you.

The pub itself is unremarkable and on match days - unless you are going - it's best avoided. It is a 'football' pub and can get a bit mental for a few hours either side of a game. That said, it's a neighbourhood boozer that is quite simple, but gives you what you want: nice cold beer, good value, plenty of space, a cracking jukebox, friendly regulars and polite staff. I generally don't drink Tennents - I think it's a bit rotten - but at the Pittodrie Bar, it's my first choice. I've never had a finer pint of Scotland's most popular lager anywhere. On the whole this is a well run, well maintained community pub. For me, any trip back to Aberdeen always has to feature a visit here.
