We ordered a maple macchiato, flight of mimosas and country fried steak with eggs, biscuits and gravy. I couldn't really taste the maple in the macchiato, but I added sweetener and it was perfect. The watermelon was my favorite flavor of all the mimosas and the chicken fried steak is the best I've ever had! It was tender and really crispy, the biscuits were good and the gravy was seasoned just right. I ordered my eggs over medium and they were perfect, too. We also sat on the patio and it was very pleasant listening to the sound of the water from the fountain. They also had a couple of patio heaters to keep us warm. We really enjoyed our service and our waitress, Claire was excellent! She gave us great recommendations and checked to see if we needed anything more than once. She was friendly and enhanced our dining experience. The menu has everything from breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, salads, tri-tip, and a selection of Mexican entrees. My husband and I have ordered something different every time we come and everything is always delicious. My favorite is the salmon avocado toast and my husband likes the chicken and waffles among other selections. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food was great. Avoid District Café. We waited 1 hour to be seated and another 1 hour and 18 minutes for our food. They sat a family inside that waited for about 10 minutes. They apologised and told us the wait would be even longer if we decided to wait (because of their mistake). We decided to seat outside instead of leaving because we were hungry. We got soaked from their mist system (it wasn't as hot) and so did our food get wet. tri-tip was cold and dry the chilaquiles (today) were made with marinara, and they ran out of country potatoes. We were asked if substituting for hash browns or fries after waiting for one hour for our food. (That meant they were barely starting to put our plates together. That same waitress in our past visit, accidentally hit the orange juice and spilled it on my husband. Service was horrible and they still automatically charged us $26.28 gratuity. After seeing how my daughter in laws steak and cheese sandwich was falling apart (they made uneven cut) the bottom and top bread were cut separately, top bun cut longer than bottom bun, dry hash browns, dry tri tip, dry chili cheese beans and bad service, I will never go back. This place has pretty good flow of customers because of their prices but with the type of service provided, I doubt it will stay in business for many years to come. read more

The ambiance is very relaxed. Great service. Fun drinks!; a group of us bruncheon gals ordered a huge mimosa for the table that had spouts for everyone to pour from! Very fun. The food was good, everyone was happy. I think I'm the only one that wasn't too happy with my order (simply based on portion). I ordered the chilaquiles (they were delicious) but when they came they were the exact same size as the chilaquiles "side" that came w another girl's order. In my mind, if I'm ordering it has a meal, I expect it to be larger than what is served as a small side for another dish. It was good though! I thought we would try this place, I'm so glad we did! The food was excellent and Service was just as good! They didn't have a real extensive menu for breakfast, but what they did have was delicious! I tried the waffle with cobbler , it came with eggs and sausage and choice of potatoes. The cobbler on top of the waffle was peach and was delicious. I have to say I am very disappointed. I've wanted to try this place since I've seen so many positive reviews. When we arrived they were not busy and we were sat within 5mins. We waited 10mins until I finally went to the front and asked if we even had a server since no one even approached our table. Finally our server came to our table with no care she just said what can I get you. We ordered 2 kids meals corn dogs and a waffle combo, a bowl of their chicken posole and finally the asada chilaquiles. When the food came the corn dogs were extremely overcooked, my posole was full of shredded chicken with very little hominy, the potatoes with the chilaquiles were flavorless and cold and the eggs with the waffle combo were drenched in oil! We asked the server if they can remake the corn dogs because they were overcooked she said she can bring a few. Once she did my son took a bite and they were FROZEN! At that point I was done! I asked to have the plate removed and we paid and left! This had to be the worst service when it comes to to the service and food I've ever had. I'm very disappointed. read more

So glad we didn't listen to negative reviews or we would have missed out on great service and delicious food. We were so hungry so we forgot to take pictures but my husband ordered the Garlic Lovers which is strip steak with chimichurri on top and mine was the Seafood Fry which was fish/shrimp and chips. Both were really good. My husband like his garlic fries and basically ate the plate clean! We also appreciated great service from Erik. VEGANS BEWARE!! Although they have a great looking selection of vegan options, I ordered the breakfast slam + received regular [meat] sausage in my meal!!! As you might know, this was formerly a fully vegan restaurant so I was happy they kept some of the popular vegan options but unfortunately I won't be eating here again. When we drove back to kindly ask for a refund, the cashier/host insisted (more than once) that the sausage was vegan. Even after asking the cook (who admitted it wasn't vegan) she still insisted it was not meat. Thankfully she eventually came around + issued a full refund. - a non meat eater since 2016 read more

I recently visited District Café and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience. It took over an hour to receive our food, and when it finally arrived, it was bland and cold. The onion rings were very burnt, adding to the overall disappointment. When we first walked in, we were told by someone behind the counter that it was going to be a 20 minute wait we said OK and sat down after a couple people walking in. Today January 11,2025 we decided to try this place close by called the District cafe. It's a very comfortable cozy place as I entered I was greeted and seated. Betty immediately offered us a variety of drinks to choose from and went over the menu in detail. There were so many mouths watering items to choose from, I decided on carnita asada. This is a meal enough to share. It came with chilaquiles (red) that had that a grandma made taste, with a perfect egg just how I make mine , beans and country potatoes and a Chile toriado. Boy if that wasn't enough a perfect cooked steak served on top Wow! It was satisfying, filling, and amazingly delicious. Definitely recommend this meal. Now my son on the hand ordered the chicken n waffles, which I had to taste ... these were scrumptious also served with sausage eggs and your choice of a variety of potatoes. He could not finish his meal and brought the rest home. But that wasn't all.... Our waitress (Betty) never stopped attending us. Then Betty asked if we would like a sample of a new menu item coming soon, we looked at each other and said sure why not. Betty brought us a sample of the Green chicken Pozole which will be on the menu starting next Saturday. This was a cup of pozole not a sample, a cup. I cook at home and I'm proud of my pozole, I don't care for any others pozole, however I was willing to taste this and I can definitely say it's good! I would come and order this. Overall my first time here , I'm so glad I came. Food is excellent, priced well, not to mention the service. This has now become my go to breakfast/ lunch spot. Good clean food.
