Went here on a Saturday night around 9pm and noticed that the google reservation I made never made it to the host since he was unaware of my reservation. Luckily, it wasn't too busy so I sat near the bar area. I could tell they're understaffed like most restaurants nowadays. The host and my server/bartender weren't the friendliest and only conversed with me once during my entire experience when it wasn't about taking my order. Their blueberry lemonade vodka and spicy curds were really good and the highlight of my experience. However, the burger wasn't cooked to medium and was bland as well as the Cajun fries were on the over-salted/dry side. The fact that the burger is $13 and you pay extra for any sides is a little hefty during these difficult times but it wouldn't have been bad if it was cooked a bit better all around. My roommate recently went to The District for dinner. She has Celiac's and forgot to mention to her server that she wanted a Gluten Free bun. As a server, I understand that there is an extra charge of a few dollars since the buns are more expensive, but the restaurant charged her for an entirely new burger. Last night at my hotel I chose to order through Bite Squad from The District. I ordered the Black and blue Burger with Cajun fries for myself and the Jalapeño poppers for my mom. I mentioned on my order that I couldn't have tomatoes due to a bad allergy. When my food arrived I found a cute note (see picture below) that made me laugh but also made me feel special and appreciated. Unfortunately something happened and they gave me the wrong order which I was allergic to. When I called, the manager was willing to make me the correct food free of charge and said he would call Bite Squad to deliver it for me. Unfortunately Bite Squad said they could not deliver it because they were "closed". Just had a chicken sandwich that was laughable. The chicken "breast" was smaller and thinner than my wallet. My wallet was a bit thinner than it was when we walked in as well. Way over done. Leathery in fact. $14 for that? I also had the mac and cheese.......for another $4! We get it. Things are different now. But why does the food have to suck? There is no excuse. I went in and sat at the bar and was greeted in my bar stool with an formal handshake and exchange of names which was great. I ordered a drink, dealers choice and a burger and fries. My drink was promptly delivered and the wait for food was not bad at all since they were pretty busy it seemed for a Tuesday night. The food was great, burger not to greasy, fries hot, and the burger had the right amount of pink (how I ordered it) Overall it was a great experience in this little college town. Once at the bar, I asked the bartender for a lager on tap. She told me they had a Vienna lager, walked over to the taps to pour me some and then realized they didn't have it. I went with a blue moon. I ordered cheese curds, Wisconsin bacon burger, and Cajun fries. The cheese curds were not typical and very large, kind of strange but OK. The burger was good. We warily went to The District Pub & Grill last night after reading the Yelp reviews. Much to our surprise we had a very positive experience. We were seated immediately by our soon to be waitress. Alyssa waited on our table immediately. She asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for a Dr Pepper soft drink. She said they didn't stock Dr Pepper but would make me a cherry Pepsi. And the cherry Pepsi was delivered quickly to our table. We happened to be there on a pizza night, a 16" pizza for $10. Great price! We were able to order the pizza just as we like. In the middle of waiting for our pizza, the bartender even stopped by our table, asking if we needed anything. Eventually the pizza arrived. I would say it wasn't the best pizza I ever eaten, but I would rate it much higher than an average pizza. Our waitress Alyssa stopped by our table at least two times. Overall, we were more than pleased with our experience. The atmosphere is awesome too! We will certainly be back! read more

The District has a great location, across the street from the Pablo. However, they are running a very slipshod business. We had reservations for 5:45 p.m. so that we would be sure to be done eating in time for a 7:30 show across the street. We showed up ten minutes early and were seated immediately. We ordered before 6 p.m. The server brought our drink order and then promptly forgot about us. At 7 pm. we were finally able to flag down the server to inquire about our order - this is the first that we saw him in an hour. He said that he'd go check. He came back and said it would be at least another fifteen minutes! Really? Almost an hour and a half for a wrap and a burger?! To make matters worse, we saw some friends come in after 6:30, sit at the bar, order, and get their food within ten minutes. We had the server cancel our order and we split a bag of pretzels that we bought at the Pablo. I contacted management, but I still haven't heard anything back from them. With at least four other great restaurants within walking distance, I can guarantee that The District will no longer be getting our business and I'll make sure that everyone around me knows about the horrible customer service. read more

My lady girly friend and I made the terrific decision to come here on a Friday night and we were thrilled to see that their french fries were the THICCCCCC BOOIIISSSS. You gotta get the cajun seasoning, if you don't you probably think that apples are spicy. I got sweet chili/barbeque Chicken wing mix and my lady got the black bean burger. We went on a Sunday for the all you can eat Crab legs. After our first plate of crab legs the waiter asked us if we wanted him to put in our next order of legs. We didn't see him until the bill came. And never saw our 2nd plate of legs. They did switch the charge to 1 plate of legs vs All you can eat. I wouldn't recommend this establishment for anything food related. All the meals (burgers, salads, wraps) were rated average by the members of our party and not getting even 2 plates of legs for an all you can eat deal is disappointing. I could understand if the chef was bad or having an off night on taste, but when your service doesn't deliver, that's not a good indication of a go-to place.
