Keep your eyes open. If you blink you may miss this treasure off Nacogdoches Rd. It's a small establishment with a big flavorful punch if you're craving gourmet hotdogs and hamburgers. I had the "Pop It Like It's Hot" dog and the fried jalapeño on it was not overpowering. Hilary, from Dogfather II, recommended it and it was great. She knew her products well and glad I asked her opinion. The hotdog tasted good. None of the toppings overpowered one another so you can really get that burst of different flavors. This establishment only had 8-10 booths so when it get's packed, expect it to possibly be noisy. I would still go back just to try the burgers now. It may be a little pricey but so worth trying different custom made dogs and burger

Come on a Sunday for $6 dogs!! All of their amazing dogs can be made a burger with an up charge. They have plenty of side choices and even a burger and dog of the week. This location is nice and very clean inside. Order at the counter and they will bring it to your table. They also have select can beers and a frozen margarita too.

If I can make a suggestion, it would be to split the dog down the middle and stuff the toppings into the dog to prevent everything falling off as you take a bite. Other than that it was delicious! The man behind the counter explained the concept and made suggestions, I ordered his suggestion. They brought the food to my table when it was ready which I appreciated. I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu!

I wasn't expecting much when my kids mentioned they wanted to go to Dogfather. I asked what it was, and they explained it was a hotdog place. I thought, "Hotdog, really? Let's check it out." As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a large portrait of a dog that gives off a unique vibe, making it clear this isn't your typical hotdog spot. And I was right; it's so much more than that. They offer a fantastic variety of hotdogs and toppings. When the food arrives, it looks incredible and tastes even better. It can get a bit messy, but that just adds to the charm of the place. My wife and I have visited several times, trying different options each time, and it's always amazing. I highly recommend this place!

Atmosphere is calm and very clean. Their customer service was in point!! We were greeted as we walked in and the lady was so generous to explain to us their menu. Love the fact that they support Texas business owners... especially local- that's amazing. Food was very delicious and well served. Downfall were: the prices and the variety of drinks. Im used to my Coca Cola and Pepsi and they had another one. The prices were a bit high which didnt include fries not a drink.

I was utterly disappointed. The service was ok. Gentleman greeted me and explained the menu. Answered ALL my questions The ambiance was ok. Nothing special. It was clean, and that's very important to me. The food...ughh I wanted a chili dog. Their chili has beans, so that was a no. I just ordered a dog with mustard, onion, and relish, fries, and a margarita. I wanted sauerkraut, but it was tomato based?? Ughh. Just German sauerkraut please. The food came in a timely fashion except my son's tater tots came after his hotdogs. My hot dog was cold on the inside w/no flavor. My fries looked and tasted like Jack In The Box fries, and my margarita tasted like cucumbers, and I DETEST cucumbers. I even had my son taste it to make sure I wasn't tripping. He concured. I mentioned it to the server, he tasted it, said no, it doesn't, and never offered any alternative. I trashed it, along with my dog. I won't be going back.

This is one of those places you here about & wonder if any good. Well this is one of those reviews, where the food actually comes through and not just a couple of meals all of the hotdog options available. Location is a bit off the beaten path, however well worth the drive. Casual atmosphere & order taker very helpful & friendly. She was easy to communicate with & ask questions. Being that I'm new to wieners. I will be honest, even after significant travel to Germany, never had a bratwurst. However was curious to know. Lucky me visiting this restaurant on their 6th anniversary all their dogs were $6, even the specialty dogs. Needless to say I was in wiener heaven! Or shall I say, so many wieners & not enough time. Ended up getting a number of different hotdogs. Support your local business.

the brat hot dog, huge! the crispy dogs. Wrapped in corn tortillas and fried. Queso, guacamole, and green salsa on the side.

Great Service, food, very clean. Plan on leftovers. Unique beers and sodas. Thirsty Thursday are $2.00.

First time I've known about and been to this location. Decided to come here before going to a SAFC game and the food was just as good as their first location. This location is a little bigger and has more seating indoors which is a plus. The menu is the same but no complaints from me because the menu is great. I suggest the Pop It Like It's Hot myself if you aren't sure of what to order. Great food, a clean and fantastic looking building make the experience that much better.

First time here. Service was friendly and fast. By far the best dish we had was the fries with carne guisada. That can be a meal on its own. Hubby enjoyed the frito pie burger. We will be back to explore more of the menu.

Deee..licious! Stopped in today for lunch and this was our groups first time. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by Rudy who is so extremely knowledgeable of the menu and his excitement is a breath of fresh air. We ordered a variety of dogs and burgers and one full order of curly fries that was enough to feed all 5 of us. The menu is like nothing else around and everything is customizable. The food was fantastic, the outside seating is so nice and Rudy made it all that much better. Check them out, try all the menu and tell Rudy we said hey!!

Came here for a quick bite and it is such a good find! We were immediately greeted and explained the menu/favorites of the staff. The hotdogs all look amazing. We ordered the elote and pop it like it's hot- both were great! Large craft beer selection. This was a great find and we will definitely be back!

Dog of the day- highly recommend getting the specials so you can try some off menu flavors!

I will say the GPS got a little confused in the route for some reason and I nearly missed an exit and even the entrance (there was some construction going on) There is plenty of parking, but the parking lot was pretty full. Beers were also great as was the mimosa I had and the kids we were with seemed to like their meals which came out last and they said theirs were hot - ours were not unfortunately. I had the Lox eggs Benedict and in retrospect should have sent it back as it was stone cold! My husband and our friend got the biscuits and gravy and also reported that they were cold - it was also served in a bowl which was a bad idea as the biscuits completely soaked up the gravy and resembled oatmeal by the time it hit the table! We got one meal - waffles and chicken to go and the waffles were inedible- poorly mixed, gritty and so much hot sauce in the mixture that they burned the back of the throat - they had to be trashed ! The DoorDash driver later contacted me stating he would not be able to complete the delivery due to his car overheating. I called the restaurant and was informed that the pizzas could be remade, but I would need to pick them up myself, which I agreed to. Shortly after, the original DoorDash order was delivered, but I immediately noticed that one pizza was missing. I contacted the restaurant again to explain the situation and for them to cancel the new order, and Roni advised me that, due to all the inconvenience and confusion, they would remake all three pizzas as a customer service gesture and for me to pick it up. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, I was then informed that management would only approve replacing the original missing cheese pizza. I expressed my disappointment because I had already gone out of my way to drive to the restaurant after being told all three pizzas would be remade. What is most disappointing is the lack of accountability and follow-through from management regarding what was communicated to me. I ended up wasting additional time and effort coming to pick up an order that should have either been handled properly the first time or re-delivered due to the issues caused throughout the process.
