I brought our Border Collie here 3 times. First Visit was…read moreok. Second visit the cut looked like some had just performed their first cut. Very uneven. Nails done the first two visits. Third visit. Boo would not stop scratching. It was pitiful. Checking her belly we found she had been cut with the clippers. At this point my husband was furious. We owned her Mama so she has NO ISSUES going to a groomer. I called to ask what type of shampoo she was washed with. She didn't know, but was quick to inform me to request an oatmeal shampoo next time. I asked why her nails weren't done, and the immediate response was Boo wouldn't let her. Now I'm getting upset. My dad has a poodle and he too was cut from the clippers. Fur babies parents are in agreement this is not a place we trust with our fur babies.

This groomer severely injured my dog. I started taking my…read moredogs to this groomer after a hiccup with my previous groomer. I thought the name was cute, so I thought I'd give 'em a try. I was really pleased for the first three visits, but on the about the 4th visit, when I went to pick up my female, the true character of this business came through. My dog yelped when she saw me and ran into my arms as if she were abused all day, which was very unusual for this normally happy dog. The groomer casually mentioned that her ear was "nicked" and that I should consider letting my dog's hair grow around her ears. I initially thought that it was not a big deal (nicks happen)... until I got home and noticed that her ear was split so badly that it needed stitches. I can't even believe I paid the groomer for that! They should have paid for the vet bill for inducing the injury. Groomers take note: The ethical thing to do is: immediately call the dog owner when this happens so they can go to the vet, don't charge the owner, and offer to pay for the vet fee, if it's your fault!! I feel horrible about putting my dog through that torture because I am responsible for her well-being -even though it is not my fault. I do not even want to use a groomer any more because I don't trust anyone with my dogs after what happened here. I have been grooming my own dogs for several months because of this incident, which has been very stressful for me since I have a family, work, and go to school.

I would actually give no stars for this groomer. I left 2 messages and to date have never received…read morea call back. Her loss as I have 2 very well behaved dogs.

Pros: Janie did an excellent job grooming my dogs at a very good price. I have been grooming my…read moredogs by myself for a while now after a previous groomer severely cut my dog's ear, and instead of notifying me so that I could get her to the vet for stitches, the groomer acted like it was just a little nick. So, needless to say, I am very leery of groomers now. But, much to my relief, Janie did one of the best jobs, which included: shampoo, cut, nail trim, nail color, ear clean, eyes cleaned, cologne, and handkerchiefs; and thankfully, none of my dogs were injured in the process! Janie is very sweet, kind, patient, and welcoming. She seemed to genuinely care about my dogs (I have two with special needs). She will work with your schedule. She was worried about the weather and worked to have my dogs finished before an impending thunderstorm so that I wouldn't have to drive home in the weather (all her idea). Cons: If I have to list any critiques, they would be simply that Janie lives a tiny bit away from the town center; however it is not far by any means (like 2 miles?), so this should not deter anyone who wants give her a chance. Her address is very easy to find. Neither a Pro nor a Con: I hate to mention this. It is simply a small concern, and not a real criticism, so please bare with me, and realize that I am mentioning this because, if you do use Janie's services, you may have a similar impression, and I hope this will put you at ease rather than worry you. Janie, is a little bit older, but she is fully capable as a groomer. But, because she is a bit older, she might be a bit slower to get around, and her shop is not as pristine as you might expect. I can excuse this for her exceptional services; however, others may not. I plan to continue to use her services since I am currently finishing my master's degree and unable to groom my dogs myself right now. I will edit this post if necessary.
