Rightfully voted "Best Of" in Simi Valley in 2023. This is not magic, you have to do the homework. She also worked on his place command, and now he stays calmly on his bed until released, which has made having guests over so much easier. She found out we have a horse background and used that to our advantage--explaining training techniques in ways that made total sense to us. I want the best for my puppies, so I asked so many different people where and how they trained their dogs. I received a few suggestions, but decided to do my own search...and I'm glad I did. Leo (Owner) and his amazing team of trainers TRULY care about the pups they train. Leo came to my home and wanted to meet me and my pups before I had to decide on making any decisions. After sitting down with him for about half an hour, I knew I found what I was looking for: Someone who wants me to have healthy and happy dogs. I signed up for the in-home training at first which is Leo coming to the house and training me on how to train my puppies (Archie and Charlie just turned 6 months and started with Leo and his team when they were 4.5). Very quickly, I realized I could not handle training both these puppies the way they needed to be trained. I discussed with Leo and decided to do a Board & Train. I like the schedule because I get to take the puppies on the weekends to spend time with me. Don't get me wrong, you NEED to train your pups on the weekends, but it's worth it and FUN. Archie has become the Puppy King (no offense to other puppies or their owners )). Charlie has a lot more energy, but has improved immensely! Leo's trainers are so caring. Ryan at RCK9 has been amazing. My pup Mulligan has always struggled with reactivity and ever since…read moremy coma he had gotten worse and wouldn't listen to commands. I did a board and train with Ryan and RCK9 through Dogwise Acadamy and he treated Mulligan so well that I feel he would prefer to stay there lol. Ryan was very attentive and responded promptly to any questions I had. When Mulligan first came home he struggled to listen to me and Ryan came out late in the day just to do a private session. In that one session, Ryan showed me that I didn't have proper leash control and allowed Mulligan to take control of the walk. Ever since that session, Mulligan has been great on the leash and his reactiveness has diminished. Ryan is still very responsive to all of my questions and is by far the best investment I have made for myself, but more importantly, for Mulligan. Laura gave me pointers on what to do and it made a WORLD of difference. A month later, we began to do e-collar in-person training with both of our pets. They are pittie mixes that are reactive, super excitable, tugged hard on walks, and one has had a history of aggression towards other dogs. We watched them both transform to be able to control their nervous systems, especially when we have guests at the house. Our friends have remarked that they are completely different dogs.
