Just fabulous! The whole experience is quite luxurious. A rose at entry, beautiful outdoor tasting, and an amazing cheeseboard and charcuterie! Lovely host guided us through wines to fit our preferences. Went home with the bottle of rose from the start. Beautiful grounds to walk around and explore the owners art collection. Fab!

Very unique blend of art and wine! The sculpture collection they have there alone is worth the money you pay for their wine tasting. Its stunning view of the wine country from the tasting room, the guide/host's impressive professionalism and the unique table settings incorporating the wool from the sheep onsite made our day.

Beautiful winery built in 2011. 200 acres where 100 of it displays Art installations and the other 100 dedicated vineyards for Chardonnay and Pinto Noir. We were able to experience a tasting paired with canapés. Ivy our guide toured us through the estate and explained the different art installations from various artists. This was our first time viewing and were amazed at the beauty of the estate. The wines we tasted were amazing as well and one of us even became a member! Highly recommend if you appreciate good wine and beautiful art.

We had such a memorable experience at The Donum Estate, and a huge part of that was thanks to Aaron, our host and guide for the tasting. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcomed and taken care of. He has a truly impressive depth of knowledge--not only about the wines themselves, but also the history, technique, and artistic perspective behind the estate's collection of sculptures and installations. As we toured the property, Aaron shared the stories behind each piece in a way that was both engaging and accessible. He connected the art and the landscape to the winemaking philosophy of Donum, which made everything feel intentional and immersive. You could tell he genuinely cared about creating a thoughtful and enriching experience, rather than just walking us through a routine tour. During the tasting, his guidance elevated every pour. He explained flavor profiles, vineyards, and vintages without being overwhelming--and adjusted his descriptions to our individual preferences. It made the wines come alive and gave us a new appreciation for Donum's approach to craftsmanship. We learned so much, but in a way that felt conversational and enjoyable. The entire experience felt curated, warm, and absolutely special. If you have the chance to visit, ask for Aaron. His passion, attentiveness, and depth of knowledge truly set the tone for the day. This was one of the most unique and meaningful wine tastings we've ever had, and we can't recommend him highly enough.

when you first walk in you are greeted by a glass of their rosé and the artwork in the entrance area really set a tone for the rest of the tour and some tied together the tour consists of a LOT of amazing art works and we wrapped everything up with the tasting my favourite was the last bite it was a sort of ratatouille the pairing really complimented well the staff was very nice our tour guide was very helpful and really knew what he was talking about

The art here is amazing! The wine was nothing spectacular but the property has a huge art collection. Grab a glass and walk the grounds.

Came here for a tasting plus walking tour, and I had a great time. I ended up driving right by the entrance when I came, so just a heads up to be alert when driving there. You'll buzz in at the gate which will then open and you'll drive down a path that leads to the first piece of art you'll see - a giant white head. After we parked and headed into the main building, we were greeted immediately with glasses of rosé which was nice. I will say the building is incredibly beautiful. The bathrooms even have Le Labo soaps. There's a great amount of natural light, and I liked the artwork and furniture (the table where we had our final tastings had coasters and placemats made from sheep wool). We were a group of five, and we were joined by two couples for our tour. The walking tour was lovely, but I do wish we had a bit more time to pause at each sculpture. Rachel was a great guide and very informative about each piece. I really loved the installation which had music and mirrored pyramids. As we walked, Rachel poured us different wines, and I appreciate that our non-drinking friends got mocktails. At the end of the walking tour, we all had a couple more tastings back at the main building and got to chit chat with the other folks who joined us. We all received favors which were travel-size glass bottles of a rose-scented spray, which I thought was a lovely touch. I would recommend visiting Donum if you're in this area!

Art museum under the guise of a winery This place is a literal art museum. Apparently, a wealthy couple needed a place to store their commissioned sculptures and created this place. They have all kinds of amazing sculptures from world famous artists like ai weiwei. Grounds are stunningly well kept and beautiful. Their wine was excellent as well. They don't really ship their wines out so you either have to come here or become a member to try it. A unique and fun wine tasting experience - definitely worth a visit.

Donum Estates was absolutely beautiful and some fantastic wines. My friends and I all enjoyed the tour with our tour guide Ivy. It was very impressive with incredible artwork like ive never seen anywhere else. So impressive. The Chardonney and Pinots were so amazing. The overlook of the bay is incredible in Carneros. The food pairings were exceptional. Well worth the visit!

Was a little late for the tasting. The pours were a sip. That's it. Not enough for a full tasting. Very disappointing as they were not shy with presenting a bill. Art was beyond amazing !!! Absolutely beautiful. Winery is breath taking but if you are coming to wine taste then it's disappointing.

They have a large fish pond and it's 25 cents for a cup of fish food to feed the turtles and koi. This is one of the most family friendly wineries I've seen. Many people bring their kids. They have corn holes too. Fancy and Pudding were the highlight! I reached out and felt like a Disney princess having one of them come to me for pets. The restrooms were very clean as well! It was fun browsing the store too. And of course the tasting and charcuterie board were a fantastic experience. I loved the cheeses and almonds they had. I appreciated the personal attention, but it became a bit uncomfortable as the staff member sat with us between pourings. I would have liked the option to take our time drinking the wines, but I felt uncomfortable and slightly rushed as this person sat with us and did not always speak te whole time. We did arrive 30 minutes late due to the Tock app (reservation app) guiding us to the wrong location. We called Hamel to notify them and the person said they would wait for us, but I detected a bit of a tone. I also emailed Tock, which they responded quickly but basically said that they investigated it and it was basically an issue on Apple's side of things. No acknowledge of the inconvenience this had on me and my husband. We did receive a very tasty appetizer made by their world-renowned chef, but the wine fell short in my opinion. It seemed a bit watered down with little flavor overall. The wine is very expensive along with the wine tasting. Booked the wine tasting for four. initially we planned to do the outlook where we were given a wooden cabana to sit with our group from afar. It looks aesthetic and alluring, but when we sat inside to see how it was, it felt cold and the walls were so high that you couldn't even view the vineyard. one of those things where the idea is great, but execution not so much. Ended up on the heated terrace which was way more comfortable. Service: 2/5 our server didn't seem very knowledgeable about the wine when we asked questions and of the information that she gave us, it sounded like a list of notes from a description that the wine maker gave her. This was very disappointing. The entire interaction felt strange, and there was no eye contact. We all felt rushed because when we weren't done drinking the wine, she would always come in and tell us she's gonna pour us the next wine, then leave, just so we need to finish the current glass we had. In general, if we aren't able to finish a glass of wine fast enough, or we just don't want to it would be nice if the winery could provide more glasses for us to try the rest of the wines instead of being rushed and using the same glass for every round. Overall, this place is great if you want something very casual. It's such a fun place to sip on wine with friends.
