I had passed by this place a couple of times and have been wanting to try it. So one day I finally did. The shop is pleasant and clean. The employees are a little rough around the edges. Honestly, I was hoping this place would not be good as the service was borderline unpleasant. I am sure if you become a regular they'd warm up to you. The doughnuts were pretty good. The bread was light and fluffy and not dry. They held up for throughout the day. The glaze and maple on the doughnuts were just right. Not too sweet, but enough to cure your sweet tooth. Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised by that classic, sweet donut aroma you always hope for, and the shop itself was exceptionally clean with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating and an impressive variety of donut options to choose from. The staff was also incredibly friendly and patient when explaining the different flavors to me, which I really appreciated. However, my three-star rating comes down to the fact that the donuts themselves just weren't that great, which is ultimately the whole point of a donut shop. While the inside of the donut was nice and soft, the outside layer was incredibly crunchy and tasted stale. I went around 11:00 AM, so it's possible the batch was a bit old and had been left out in the open air for too long, but I've been to plenty of shops at all hours of the day and rarely encounter a texture that crusty. My daughter had a vanilla donut. She wasn't a fan but couldn't tell me why (she's 6!) But my donut I can say was pretty good.
