Easy quick stop to grab the breakfast essential. Have a pretty good coffee menu for a donut spot and the drip coffee is quite tasty. Kolaches and donuts weren't too bad either. Could always use more jalapeño in mine.

Are you looking for a quick, delicious and extremely affordable breakfast spot? You're in luck, because The Doughnut Cafe and Coffeehouse in Texarkana is a must stop place in the morning. This was my first time in Texarkana and we were just looking for a place to grab some quick morning fuel before heading on the road with some friends. We initially walked through the drive thru and didn't realize that the place had a door that led into the shop itself. The employee at the drive thru window kindly guided us inside where I was thoroughly surprised by what they offered. Their bakery case was extensive and had everything from yeast and cake doughnuts, muffins, kolaches, sandwiches, croissants and other baked goods. I never had kolaches before and my friends had suggested if I was in Texas I had to try some. We ended up opting for a dozen of them, all of which were the savory ones. They all had a good combination of meats and cheese. But I didn't stop there, because I had to try some of their other items. I ended up adding a few yeast doughnuts, a cinnamon roll and some coffee too. The coffee was pretty good and their selection of styles and types ranging from Basic Brews , Single Origin to Specialty Drinks was extensive. All of which were well priced and complimented well with any baked goods. Overall this place is the quintessential hole in the wall kind of establishment. It's a place that doesn't need flashy signs or a newly remodeled cookie cutter building. Instead The Doughnut Cafe and Coffeehouse offers excellent breakfast options, incredible value and speedy service that outpaces many other chains. Don't skip out and go support this local establishment!

Food is great! Just be sure to get there early enough or someone may call in an order that might wipe out a lot of the selections. Service was always polite & respectable. They'll even reheat your hot beverage if need be! It'll be interesting to see what it's like to use the outside chairs and tables when the cooler fall weather arrives! I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but does that fireplace work or is it for looks only? In any case I shall be returning! read more

Tried this place on a whim after being disappointed by Scooters one too many times.... When I say I would trade every coffee I ever had elsewhere and my first born for this coffee.... I mean it. Food was delicious and reasonably priced as well. Service was quick and pleasant. Love that they have a drive through. Also have a cute covered outside sitting area that is peaceful. Couldn't recommend this place enough!!! read more

We were hyped for a good donut and remember this one from days gone by. However the donut was average. While It was light and fluffy it was cold and did not taste fresh. I hate to leave less than perfect stars but want to warn others that it's not the hype locals rave about. The serve was friendly. Maybe your experience will be better. read more

Nice little doughnut shop with a drive thru. I had my meal inside and the service was really nice. Everyone greeted and smiled. Got myself a sausage biscuit and it was pretty good.. they also have salsa if needed. Kolaches were excellent. Wow, what can I say. Great service and great doughnuts! Every time I visit here I have great customer Service. The guys love the doughnuts and the variety. Ok I only stop here once a year to buy Doughnuts for the customers at the plant when I travel in from PA but I love it. And the service never changes :) Thank you! read more

The tables and space inside are quaint and not smelly. It seemed a good place to come in and sit down. They were out of apple fritters at 8 am. The old fashioned donut had lots of little round black flecks in it that looked like bugs but what I finally decided were maybe coffee grounds. They had 5, 6 kinds of tea bags but they were the crappy kind. read more

5/5 stars because of their KOLACHES! I have not had anything like it. Pillowy soft, with a touch chewy dough and a little crisp sausage equates perfection!!!! I have tried their latte and tasted pure milk without any hint of an espresso shot, so I did not care for it. I tried their croissant, but it was too dense and not flaky. Their donuts are fresh and a little of the too chewy side. They tasted good, but I am raving about their kolaches. Perhaps, it should be called KOLACHE Cafe! Lol!!! Outstanding! Adorable little hole in the wall! We needed a quick coffee and small morning treat while driving through town. We found the cafe through Yelp, and so glad we did. It was hopping the whole time we were there. And for a good reason. The service is extremely fast, and very pleasant and professional. Very cheerful. We had a smattering of their items, croissant, kolache, blueberry donut. All were top notch. The kolcahe had a great dough, and the jalapeños gave it a subtle kick. I love a good blueberry donut, and this one did not disappoint. With the excellent coffee they serve, it was truly a delight. It's definitely a local hotspot. Customers greeted each other warmly, and added a nice comfy vibe to the experience. Only con - very tight parking. But that's because they're so busy. Highly recommend!! read more

Good coffee and doughnuts. I really like the jalapeño kolache. Get there early because the locals love this place - it's how we found out about it - and they sell out of doughnuts early. It is a cute place and the owners are very friendly. If you like good food and supporting local business give it a try. I'll be back next time we are in Texarkana. read more

A hidden gem!!! Thank god it was Sunday and Chik Fil A was closed, otherwise my students would not have wanted to eat here! It's deceptive from the outside, but don't let the house fool you!!! Go inside and try anything, from the croissant to the pastries and donuts...it's all good!! read more

We went to the Doughnut Cafe off of the people in yelp. It is a small place with little parking. It's located in the corner so it is a little easier to maneuver. At first site I saw a line of cars in the drive thru. After parking we went inside and were greeted instantly. We ordered the jalapeño pig in a blanket, bacon egg and cheese burrito and apple fritters. The dough in the pig in a blanket was excellent. It was soft and flakey. The burrito was good but the apple fritters were fantastic. Our favorite also was the Community Coffee. We are big fans of the Community. Anyway, I think you will be pleasantly rewarded with your choice of going here for breakfast. read more

I had a hankering for a doughnut and have been wanting to try this place out. First, they offer a drive-thru for convenience. They also have a few tables in case you would like to dine-in. The staff was friendly and efficient. The selection and creativity of the doughnuts was not impressive. However, they did have all of the basic doughnuts. I ordered a chocolate glazed doughnut and a small house coffee. The coffee was delicious and the doughnut was good too. If you are going to visit this cafe, you should do so in the early AM when the doughnuts are fresh and hot. read more

I just ordered 6 kolaches and 6 glazed donuts on the waitre app. I paid 35$ for all of it due to no car. It was the worst kolaches and donuts I have ever had. The kolaches were hard and looked like they had been sitting out all day. It was so bad that the freaking sausage or whatever it is was dried up and fell out of the buns. Great little gem. Texarkana seems to be really lacking in the non starbucks espresso category. While they pill the shots really long it still beats the burned swill that comes out of the machines at starbucks. The kolaches are awesome. read more

We also ordered the Takoyaki that were creamy and savory; the spicy salmon roll, eel sashimi, and the tuna jalapeno appetizer. All of the items were fresh and beautifully served by a very professional and kind waiter. I enjoyed the decor and there was a lot to look at. The restrooms were very clean and tidy. We would definitely return.

We told them it was our first time and they helped us make our choices, by informing us of their items. I got the ghost pepper cheese burger with a side of cheese curds and my wife got the classic cheese burger with fries. It took less than 10 minutes to receive our food after we ordered. Everything was fresh, even the fries so it was all very hot, nothing that had been precooked sitting under a heat lamp. The ghost pepper cheese burger was phenomenal! It was the perfect amount of spicy. Just enough that you were able to eat without discomfort but by the end, you had a little sweat on your head . The cheese curds were very good too and I felt the size I got (regular) was the perfect size. My wife ordered the classic cheese burger. She said hers was good, but not 5 star good. Her only complaint was that the meat did not have enough seasoning. She said a little more salt would have made it a 5 ‍. Overall, I loved this place and can't wait to go back for more. It's located right in the heart of all the shopping in Texarkana, so after you get your shopping done, swing by and grab a fantastic burger!

The food was definitely on point. Beyond that, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The place itself was really clean, and the ambiance was great. Just a really pleasant spot to grab a bite. Highly recommend!
