They buy furniture from overstock or company liquidations or closeouts and pass along the deals. I have my a table, two tv stands, sectional couch, three end tables, coffee table, bed set, armoire, four rugs, three lamps and a Tempurpedic from the Dump and I'm proud of all of it and have never found a better deal anywhere else! Absolutely appalling service. Spent over $5K on 2 sofas and the electronics on one of them did NOT work when it was delivered. Even though I bought the full extended warranty I am almost 4 months in of dealing with nothing but hassles with these idiots trying to get this fixed. The Dump is a DUMP! My furniture was 10/11 months old when it fell apart. The legs on my couch broke and the recliner just disintegrated into no padding at all. Normal wear and tear. Me sitting on my recliner in the evenings. There is no excuse for this terrible workmanship. Because I tried to fix the first leg that broke they have voided my warranty. So just be aware - The Dump will not take care of you when your furniture falls apart. Also, Customer Service will ignore you and not call you back until you start making calls to corporate. Corporate will not help you either. I am on a fixed income and 66 years old. I spent my good hard earned money to buy all this new furniture to hopefully last me from here on out. But I refuse to be taken advantage of and lied to. I purchased furniture online with my The Dump credit card. Never had a problem. I go to the store today, pick out furniture and go to pay and am told I have to put 25% down on another credit card. Odd. I then say I will just order online and use my The Dump credit card. I am told that I would have to pay the deposit online as well. Hmmm ... I go to my car and voila order my furniture online with my The Dump credit card and don't need another card for a deposit. We purchase a bedroom suite( $8K+) with an extended five year warranty. Now the finish is coming off a bedside table and the warranty they sold me with GBS Protectall, is worthless. I've only have the furniture for three years but l'm told the warranty company will not cover the repair. How is it that the finish comes off after three years and it isn't deemed to be worthy of repair even after I got a five year warranty. I brought my friend to the dump to find a bed. He had a particular one in mind and he found what he wanted, and he was very happy and they told him they had one left boxed in the warehouse and a week later when I went to go help him pick it up. They were giving him the floor model. Unboxed unprotected. I told him to ask for his money back. They came back and saying that we did have two but they're both out of the box and no it hasn't been anywhere it hasn't been to anybody's house. I paid over 6,000 for a couch, bought the extended warranty, which I found out the furniture store keeps over 80%.. within two months it started fraying. Contractors the dump, they referred me to the warranty company.. spoke to the warranty company and they said it's the furniture store's responsibility, and it begins. Finally got in touch with the General Manager Rob Waddle. Rob seemed very responsive. I explained what was going on and he requested pictures. He contacted me the next day and said he would handle it personally. He was going to contact the manufacturer to get someone out here to look at it. 2 or 3 weeks pass, and no call from Rob. I call the dump, Rob gets on the phone and apologizes for not calling me back. He set an appointment for the warranty company to come out 3 weeks later. Finally get the warranty company out, looks at it, and tells my wife we'd hear back from the Dump within the week. Ten weeks later, I haven't heard from Rob. Not only have I not heard from Rob, I've called now 9 times without 1 call back. Rob is either with a customer, vacation, or off. I will come back and update this review soon but for now I'm just going to say we wasted several days with this company, purchased a sofa only for the delivery people to arrive and refuse to deliver it without even opening it from the box or attempting to see if it would fit through our standard size doors. This is a BarcaLounger sofa. This company has been in business for decades so it's hard to believe they would make a sofa that doesn't fit in a standard size doorway. We even have an extra 32 1/2 inch doorway they could have tried. We've also got the largest La-Z-Boy couch made currently sitting there now so for them to not even attempt it and then try to charge us a 20% restocking fee is sort of beyond my capacity for words right now. I was referred to their in house upholsterer to have it repaired who told me the material was not leather but some type of material that was dyed and stretched and that there was nothing that could be done. Bit myself and delivery guy took photos Absolutely worst customer service. i have purchased items several times without issue. Beware of any item delivery damage. Even with photo documentation on delivery , I have had nothing but the runaround. Avoid any item that looks delicate in the least. Thoroughly inspect all items and force them to reload it if damaged. Came by the Irving dump to check out the couch section and ended up having one of the nicest experiences ever. My girlfriend and I are 19 and 20 and definitely look like two kids who accidentally wandered in looking for free stuff but James, the man working there treated us with total kindness and respect like we were real adults (doesn't happen a lot). He didn't talk down to us, didn't brush us off, and actually took the time to help us look for couches even though we didn't end up taking one. What a tremendous disappointment!! Our sales person, Candice was AMAZING! I can't say enough great things about her. The rest of the company awful & doesn't deserve her! Bought a couch on Dec 21st for over $6200 just to have it delivered broken! It was delivered on Dec 27th with the Blue tooth speakers not working & wireless charge pads not working. The delivery driver was very pushy for us to sign and leave without checking it. My husband said no no we check everything first! Once we realized it wasn't working the driver made a call and told us someone would call Monday the 30th to fix it. A week goes by and hear from no one. Go to the store to find out the delivery driver never filled out a call slip even though he called someone. The manager, Lainne, told me that he could have called his brother for all we know! What?! Then she has the audacity to ask if I'm tech savvy & made sure it's plugged in. I paid for white glove delivery and that should have been done at delivery! Also, was told the delivery company is a third party company and they have no control over that. That's not my problem that you hire a company with horrible service to represent you at delivery. Left the dump Sunday, Jan 5th with a plan that my case would be escalated and I would hear from someone Monday, never did. I text Monday and got no response so I went to the store late afternoon. At this point I want a refund & the manager on duty agreed. Fixing the couch would just lead to a constant headache for the life of the couch. It should have come working not need a repair from the start. The manager that agreed to the refund said they would get it started and text Monday night with return info & refund status. (it was a slanted prong cord, not a straight prong cord). ok cool, the guy called the customer care, and they said they would mail the correct cord. this all took place on June 21, 2025. it is now July 28,2025 and I am still fighting with them to get me the correct cord. I have been told twice now that it will be sent by UPS and I should have it within a week. they lie! i know they have great deals but this is real bad customer service. My sales rep, James, was GREAT. Informative, proactive, knowledgeable, friendly, respectful. The problem is the customer service from the admin team, and the lack of communication across the team. I attempted to reach a manager a handful of times. After speaking with Deepthi, she refused to let me talk to leadership. I had to drive back to the store to talk to the GM about my couch that arrived damaged. The GM was empathetic and very helpful. She also referred me to Gabrielle, another manager who was supposed to"fill-in"for her while she was out of the office the following week. In order to try to solve my issue, the GM informed her team that they would need to come out the following week to exchange the broken couch for a new one. She assured me it would be a seamless process and I would run into no issues, which was the reason for introducing me to Gabrielle. On Tuesday, the week of the delivery, I tried to reach someone from the store many times. After the fourth call, I was able to reach a member of The Dump, who then had Gabrielle call me back. This is where frustration peaked. Gabrielle started the reason she had to call me back was that she was confirming my delivery . I had already confirmed my delivery for Wednesday earlier in the week. Gabrielle kept speaking over me about how I was wrong about the proposed delivery date despite having it confirmed via text. She was ABSOLUTELY useless. After calling in on Wednesday to make sure I was home for the delivery, it never arrived. I was able to reach the delivery driver who was AMAZING. He confirmed my delivery window for Thursday and called 30 minutes prior on Thursday to let me know he was en route. Fast forward to the delivery time, and they remove the damaged couch from my living room and setup the new couch. Before signing, I looked over the couch to discover... IT WAS ALSO BROKEN. 2 of 2 couches, damaged at arrival. I now have a brand new couch that they "repaired"in the delivery van. Thousands of dollars for furniture that isn't technically brand new. I've tried to reach leadership yesterday and today. I give up. I contacted their corporate customer care team who said they will email the GM because nobody was answering their calls, either. All I can say is the Dump doesn't stand behind their warranty. So I went to another company in Frisco to select a mattress. I had to constantly struggle with The Dump and they insisted my mattress was not bad enough to support their warranty agreement. I was offered the white glove delivery, which was an extra $200.00, and the salesman included it before I had the chance to choose it. I was going to purchase it anyway . . . Just would have been more business acceptable if I had verbally said I wanted it. I asked and was told it was already included. So I leave the store anticipating my delivery date, which was approximately 2 weeks out. It was a few days later I received a call to tell me my furniture was in and ready to be delivered. I pulled the paperwork before returning the call only to find out the papers I was given belonged to another customer. I called the salesman back and informed him of this - he said would be calling me back in no more than 5 minutes. I never did receive that call. Going forward,the day arrives when my sofa is ready. All went well until it was set in my living room and left. White glove delivery meant removing and disposing of packaging and set up (in my case it was installing the legs). Delivery team said that was not the order - they were to deliver (dump) it only. So they left. I called to request this service I paid an outlandish $200.00 for be performed. They could not come back out for SIX days - the delivery van was still in the parking lot!! So I waited another 6 days. . . . Overall, I'm satisfied with the sofa and any 2nd thoughts would be my own fault for not checking it out further. The fabric feels a bit plastic but it's mine now. The service was not ok. Wrong receipt, wrong calls, wrong delivery orders, etc. Just know this going into it. You'll sign so many papers you'll think it's another mortgage. I bought a loveseat and three seater leather sofa in June at my request had it delivered July . It was the Rocky Mountain made by USA premium leather . Two weeks ago I noticed the cushions when I took them off on the side the color was coming off and showing white underneath . You could scrape the brown off and it said on the advertisement they were % 100 top grain leather . I took pictures sent them to the Dump and the vendor USA premium leather said they would replace the cushion casing . I refused that offer because my point was they said it was % 100 leather . One of the worst experiences I have had. First I was overcharged. That took weeks of contacting them, until I refused to have delivery until it was fixed. Delivery was 2-3 weeks after promised, then one of the items was damaged. I pointed it out to the delivery people, who called someone who told me they would send someone to repair. I saw a floor model of one of their couches and made a purchase. Upon delivery, the couch was delivered with lacked proper stuffing materials and upholstery; as we sat on it, we sunk to the floor board of the couch. Also missing were cushion units that we were told came with the couch set. I waited 3 weeks to see if the store would correct this matter, called multiple times. They sent a so called furniture specialist who immediate laughed upon discovering that the seat cushions where not even stuffed with the proper materials and he pulled out foam sheets. His words "I never seen anything like this in my 20 years in the business". On my last call to the store, I asked for my money back and the store refused. I ask if they could fix this issue and they claim no responsibility. They do not stand behind the quality of their lineup; they say that the "Vendor" claims that is how all their furniture is put together however we noticed that the floor model is complete different. Then he sold me a huge mirror for my wall. When I got home the manual called for attaching the mirror to a dresser. No one said anything to me about a dresser when I was at the store. I would never recommend going to The Dump. I used to live in PA and have bought a dining room table from their location in Oaks, PA and it was great. I was happy that there was a location here in Dallas when I moved here in October. I went on a Thursday and it was dead. So I had time to walk around and speak with the salesman, Craig I think it was. Found a great set, bought it, scheduled guaranteed delivery and setup for Saturday 12/14. Perfect experience up until 12/13. I hadn't received a confirmation call the day before as the salesman said, so I called the store. They said that it was ordered wrong and had something to do with the Oaks,PA purchase and while they have it in stock in Dallas, it wasn't scheduled or possible to be delivered on the promised date of 12/14. I just started a new job, so I needed a weekend delivery. So they wanted to schedule it for the following weekend. I said that's unacceptable. They DID go above and beyond and hired a third party company to deliver the furniture on Sunday. But!... When the third party delivers and assembles the furniture, they leave all the trash in my yard. I asked them to take it, they said they weren't paid for trash removal and had another delivery to go to so they couldn't take the trash. I called the store and they said they SHOULD take the trash. Then I told them they wouldn't take the trash and they offered me a $50 refund. I said OK but what about the trash? They said, no, that's for the trash to be removed. The GM told me that at his place, the trash people pick up boxes and trash. Good for him. Not for me. I live in an apartment building and also the delivery guys put all the styrofoam and trash inside the boxes. I ended up calling enough that the GM, who to be honest should not be in a customer service role and should look for a different career, sent one of their trucks to pick up the trash. So much hassle for a simple thing that would have been included in the original delivery fee all because of their mistake. TL/DR: I bought furniture, scheduled delivery, The Dump screwed up the delivery schedule, The Dump delivered the day after scheduled delivery, 3rd party delivered the furniture, left all the trash, GM is horrible, offered me $50 refund, I complained, trash was reluctantly picked up by The Dump a week later. We've been dealing with the Dump for several months trying to get our new chairs repaired or replaced. One is very discolored on the arms and head rest. We cannot get anything done. They sent the wrong piece of material. They dispatched the tech and that's when we found out The Dump sent the wrong piece of material. We also found out the leather is painted and not dyed. First, I recommend everyone read these YELP reviews and the ones on the BBB (F rating). I wish I had. The one star is solely because our sales person was helpful and friendly during the sale. I strongly disagree that these are discounted prices. I saw a side table that was actually priced higher than NFM was selling it for. Nonetheless, I did find a shelving piece similar to what my daughter wanted and I purchased it for her. Delivery is a joke. The two men only spoke Spanish (allegedly) so communication was minimal. One of the men was very small. They would only carry piece using carry straps which made the item taller and more cumbersome and awkward than it needed to be. They refused to bring this 7' cabinet in a 10' door once they saw they would also have to carry up a flight of stairs (something that was on the delivery paperwork). They also did not offer to leave item in garage so we could have someone else move it up. (Customer service said that was our responsibility to ask. They just kept speaking Spanish, which I do not speak) They just left after calling the delivery manager to tell them it wouldn't fit, which it would have. They were just unwilling and/or not capable. That same day, movers carried a sofa larger than the cabinet up without any difficulty and NFM delivered a large dresser, mirror and king size headboard without any problem. When the contracted drivers decide an item is not deliverable, the customer loses 20% for restocking plus the delivery fee. Customer service at The Dump is the worst you will ever find, both in helpfulness and attitude. They do not care about the customers at all and it shows. Learn the easy way and avoid The Dump. Phone calls, emails, texts, and any form of communication is difficult. I've opened a ticket since March 2021 and still no resolve. They are happy to sale you something (we spent almost $6K there) and was shipped a broken item, to which, customer service, corporate, and store do not bat an eye. Seems like standard practice... The sales personnel was helpful without being pushy. The prices were very reasonable and the furniture seemed to be very nice quality. We were prepared to treat ourself and blow a good amount of cash on some rugs and mattress today, having heard about the great deals at the dump we figured this would be the perfect spot. The merchandise quality seemed to be above average. We were greeted at the door by an employee we later discovered could be a stalker. We were browsing the store actually enjoying ourself until we noticed that the said employee was never more than 10 feet away (it was almost creepy). I was in and out in 20 minutes, we were so excited for our new dining table. They delivered my Counter Height Table with a closing drawer on the bottom (unassembled), and 6 chairs. The chairs were not wrapped and covered in white lint. The delivery guys assembled my table on the spot he could not get the cabinet door on the bottom to align, the door would not close. The Delivery guy said he had never assembled a table like mine and it should have been assembled at the warehouse and left it as is and a technician would have to come back to fix it. I pointed out to my delivery guy 5 of the 6 chairs rocked and were not stable and the table had a few scratches on it. The delivery guy called customer service, customer service they said they would have a technician contact me about getting someone out the following week to look at the furniture. No one called me on Monday I called the Irving store and left a message I received a text message a few minutes later to schedule an appointment to "Repair" my new furniture with a third-party vendor. I called the store and spoke to Robyn and relayed my frustration about delivering a faulty product she said I signed a contract and they have the opportunity to service the product, however she missed the point, they delivered a faulty product you don't repair new furniture, you give me new furniture, you delivered a table that was chipped and chairs that are not stable. I asked for the store manager, she said Rob the store manager would call me back. I have yet to hear back from him. This is what they're page says about them under their About us Page, based on my personal experience all I can conclude it is just not true. First of all people complaining about the quality of furniture don't seem to understand that the dump gets furniture from all sorts of manufacturers and other retail stores that are discontinuing it or closing it out. So if the quality of the furniture is lacking, that has nothing to do with the dump. I went there and purchased a zero gravity barcalounger today and had excellent customer service and pricing could not be beat and I saved nearly 50% off the retail price when I did a quick price check on my Phone. People who complain about pricing generally aren't intelligent enough to check on their smart phones before making the purchase it seems. It takes literally 30 seconds to do a price check on your phone and if the dump was not competitive in price, they would not still be in business. So I disregard all of those negative and unintelligent reviews. As far as delivery service, that is subcontracted by the business and obviously I haven't had an issue yet, but if I do then I'll say something about it. Otherwise I felt the service and selection and pricing and quality of the merchandise available were excellent. Additionally, I did not purchase an extended warranty or any protection. I have found any such warranty to be a waste of money, whether it is with furniture or electronics or most other things, and it is a money maker for businesses. Again, lack of consumer knowledge expressed in reviews just makes me laugh if people are silly enough to think that's a good value proposition. Think before you buy and pay attention and understand you get a good savings at this store.
