The volcano sushi in my opinion was ok. I've had better.

My first visit here it was small but clean. The menu carried many different food options. I was craving dim sum but I ended up getting other items too. The prices are pretty pricy to what I'm used to in regards to some dim sum items and sushi rolls. They do have combo items at lunch prices and it was a good amount for the price. The customer service was good. The front house was also helping with the cooking and takeout as well.

Very mixed reviews. To start the food is a bit expensive for dumplings but given there are not many homemade dumpling places local there isn't much competition. Sushi: the sushi was mixed. One time had shrimp that went bad. It smelt terrible. So I threw it away. The Avocado and Kani Salad was good but needed a little texture. Would like to have either roe or a bit of tempura crunch in it. (I would order again and ask for a little change) The dumplings were good. Both were moist with good flavor. The pork and leak dumplings have a thick wrapper keeping all Fo the juice inside. I would be willing to try the place again but the sushi really turned me off.

Excellent food, very friendly server. Cook seemed grumpy and didn't smile or respond, seemed pissed off at something... Still one of the best Kung pow chicken I had in long time and tasty beef chow foon so I dont mind his issue. Dumpling was just ok in my opinion. Definitely go back again!

Seaweed Salad - this was delicious and a good size!

We've gotten take out from here a few times and everything is always so delicious! Can't wait to explore more of the menu! The dumplings have all been great. And we've loved the buns too. And the Shanghai noodles are wonderful, we get it every time. Their estimates for when the food will be ready have been pretty much spot on so far.

The piggy face on the bao are cute 4. Other dishes were also solid Negatives: 1. The waiter misheard something we ordered and they did not correct it. 2. The minion bao did not have the proper decorations. It did not look like a minion. 3. The durian swans do not taste like they use real durian. The flavor is not there, and there is no stringiness that real durian has. It's also really overpriced. 4. Some dishes took really long. 20+ minutes

Solid spot for dim sum in Malden! We can for an early lunch right after New Years and good thing we…read morecame early as the restaurant became packed soon after. Got a large variety of dim sum items and it all came out pretty quickly. My favorites were the chicken feet, tripe, shrimp and chive dumplings and salty egg yolk charcoal lava bun! The steamed tripe was super flavorful in a ginger onion sauce and all the shrimp items were really great with plenty of filling. We got both the regular steamed salty egg yolk lava buns and the charcoal one and I have to say, you gotta get the charcoal buns as the filling is way more flavorful and has that runny, ooey gooey texture I love! Parking can be tricky in downtown Malden but there is a parking lot in the back or metered street parking if you can find a space.

I heard all of the hype about District Kitchen. So I decided to give it a try. First I must say,…read moremake sure you make a reservation especially if it's on the weekend. This place is tiny. Very compact if you don't try and reserve a booth. The service was on point. The waiter we had was very attentive and took our order as soon as we sat. Great start. We ordered drinks and it kind of took some time. Once we got them, I noticed why it took long to get the drinks. This place caters to being more on the aesthetics. The drinks were great and beautifully decorated! That was a PLUS! Other than that, the food was okay. Nothing really special. They dress everything up really nice and make it photo worthy. So if you're looking to spruce up your social media with some nice photos of food and drinks, then this is your place! Overall, I'd give them a 7/10.

I got the cocktail that I think on the menu it said their would be sparklers or something with the presentation, so I guess I got my hopes up. A lot of their social media videos had bubbles, smokes, fire, sparklers, but my drink just came with smoke. It still looked pretty good, and tasted nice. The menu is huge. You can do a more 'Chinese style' dinner by sharing large entree items or you can get your own combo plate. I got the combo plate with 2 crab rangoons and general tso chicken. Food is pretty basic (well I did choose something basic haha). I've been here once around 8 years ago before they renovated to become this more modern Asian style. I must say its interesting what they've done to the place, they definitely have more business than before. But honestly it just feels like everything is for show, food is alright.
