I order the Ube matcha, but they were out! I learned that they make their ube in house and once it out for the day it's out. So my next choice was the banana matcha. I imagined a matcha with banana flavoring, but to my surprise the matcha contained actual banana in it. I was a bit caught off guard, not complaining though, of its thick consistency for a matcha. It was definitely tasty though. The next time I went back I opted for their cafe de olla, hot (only served on the weekends). The cafe de olla was delicious! I had it black and it was perfect. My husband and I always wanted to try this coffee shop, since we take our kids to Altitude all the time. Finally had a chance to stop by and got Cafe De La Olla. My husband got it black, and I added vanilla cold foam. Tasting it black is def not what I'm used to. This one has a sweetness to it, so adding the vanilla cold foam made it a little too sweet for me. Turns out, they sweeten it with cinnamon and brown sugar. I've been here a few times and tried their Iced Latte with housemade banana cream foam, and their Island Latte (a limited-edition summer menu item). However, there's definite room for improvement. I ordered the Banana Cream Latte ($6.25 - Large - iced). This drink reminds me of those pretentious water coolers with floating bits of fruit inside... yet its water tastes exactly like tap water. The Banana Cream Latte tastes like strong coffee with some floating squished chunks of banana. Although I sincerely appreciate the strong caffeine, the tiny ice, and generous liquid... the drink is not tasty. It's functional, but it's as tasty as dropping bits of banana into your water bottle. I arrived on a weekday (around 10:15AM). Staff (receipt said Alexis) is extremely friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. My beverage was completed in two minutes and 28 seconds. Fast! The Dwelling (San Dimas) has an enchanting, charming ambiance. Its interior resembles an upscale coffee shop. This well-ventilated location is extremely clean, and its furniture is very new. The location has an gender neutral bathroom, free wifi with password, and seven small tables for customers. The music is very faint and calming. Unfortunately, there are only two electric sockets accessible to customers, so it might be difficult to charge your electronic devices. Next, The Dwelling (San Dimas) has a very forgettable exterior/outside, so it's very difficult to find. Lastly, I'm not a fan of this location's single trashcan's design. For example, if trying to throw away a tiny piece of plastic, your hands will touch the trashcan's top flaps. (Important Tip: My receipt said "Cash Discount." I paid 24 cents less because I paid with cash instead of card. Bring cash for your payments.) Overall, The Dwelling (San Dimas) overflows with potential. It's also hidden and charming. Disclaimer: Just because it's not my kind of coffee place doesn't mean it's wont be yours! You may love this place but it's not for me. My dad really likes this place so he took me to try it. I noticed it was in a quiet cute shopping center. It was clean and the restroom was well maintained. They had a lot of options but they do use 183 syrups-possibly not for every drink but definitely most. I prefer a place that makes their own syrups because I have a nice espresso machine so I make a good latte therefore I want it either better or just as good as mine. I am also very particular on espresso and its roast. Their menu was vast and they offered lots of options for flavors. I got the Holy Night which is there winter menu which was eggnog latte with cinnamon cold foam. The espresso was not great quality in my opinion. It was extremely dark roast or the shot wasn't calibrated correctly. I got the latte halfsweet and the flavor was good but not great. My dad liked the banana matcha I tried it and it wasn't super smooth. Was more earthy than umami which I prefer. Overall I personally wouldn't come back but give them a try if you aren't too picky about coffee and matcha taste. read more

It's okay. I've been here multiple times, so this isn't based on just one visit. The coffee is decent but inconsistent better when the younger girl makes it. Customer service hasn't been great. The staff can feel a bit dry and not very welcoming, which is disappointing, especially for a small (and somewhat overpriced) coffee shop. I was also expecting a more friendly vibe since it's a Christian café. I do have kids, and sometimes I feel judged when they're just being kids.
