Mike was personable, friendly, and extremely helpful when it came to the menu. The ability to do 1/2 and 1/2 pizzas is awesome and allowed us to try a few varieties. Friday night pizza night 2,800 miles from home. After finding free parking in iconic downtown Plymouth, I checked out The Edge Thick Square Pizza. What a great decision. The pizza was delicious, obviously pan-baked with mozzarella that melted to the sides of the pan to form a crusty cheese border. Was walking around Plymouth on a sunny Saturday afternoon with the family. We saw a sign for Detroit style pizza and had to stop in! My husband is from Detroit so we know and love Detroit style pizza. We ordered two pies. I asked if the pepperoni was spicy (my 6 year old is very particular ). The chef gave him a whole cup of them to try! The pizza was great, as authentic as you can get on the east coast. We loved the addition of sharp Vermont cheddar to the cheese mix. I can't say enough good things about this place. We stopped in while visiting Cape Cod and were not disappointed. We ordered the Kiddy Pool (1/2 pepperoni) and the Mark Truffalo. The Mark Truffalo was a white pie with mushrooms, ricotta and truffle oil and it was unbelievable. The Kiddy Pool was also very good yet I found myself eating more of my wife's pie. They were closing 15 minutes before we got there and gladly served us. As they closed up, the owner, Arron, came out and asked how everything was. Us and the table next to us both raved about how much we liked it. Then he asked if we had tried the Netflix & Dill - his personal favorite, a white pie with garlic cream base, pickled jalapeños, pickles & ranch. I said no and he asked if I wanted to and of course I said yes. He took a slice out of his own pie that he made for himself to take home and gave me one! I was so full I didn't eat it til the next day (back in NJ) and it was unreal. Never would have ordered something like that tbh but now that I've tasted it I would 100% order it. I can't say I enjoyed the place. Mostly due to the service. Sunday afternoon. Maybe it's better other times. Problem with the register overcharging but server could care less to correct it. I'd probably say that issue changed how I enjoyed the rest of the experience. With that said. Pizza was a nice novelty. The dough has a nice bakery taste and smell but was extremely doughy and dense. Decided to take a short drive over the bridge to check this place out, and boy I'm glad I did. I want to say that I stopped buying pizza years ago due to the mediocre quality in the south coast and cape cod area. I was hoping to try their Cesar salad since the dressing is made in house but the chickens are not laying enough this time of year. Hoping to try it next time. After ordering, it didn't take very long for them to bring our pizzas out. Both pizzas were piping hot and looked amazing. I've never tried Detroit style pizza so this was a first. The crust on both pizzas had a perfect crisp exterior and was light and fluffy on the inside. I tried a slice of the cheese, and the meat-up. The cheese was my favorite, it was light and the fresh tasting marinara really came through nicely. The meat-up was also very good, it was thoroughly covered with meat and was flavorful and very filling. The star on the meat-up was the fresh basil that it was topped with as it added that bit of freshness to balance out the heavy meat flavors. My son and husband both felt the pizzas were delicious and my son said they were the best pizzas he's ever had. The crispy pepperoni are amazing btw, and my husband absolutely loved the meat-up. We are all looking forward to coming here again so we can try some of the other creations. High quality ingredients - the cheese blend is delicious, sauce is perfectly balanced (not too sweet, not too acidic), the caramelized cheese edges are delicious. They even use those little pepperonis that curl up when they're cooked! You know those pepperonis...crispy edges with a little pool of grease in the middle, if you're lucky. I'm not a meat eater but those pepperonis were calling me! However, if you're expecting Detroit style pizza, this isn't it. The crust is Sicilian style. It's focaccia. Detroit pizza has a magical pizza dough and there is no way it'll be ready in 10 minutes. You have to be patient and wait for the greatness. If you're traveling to the midwest and are expecting the same experience from actual Detroit pizza...you won't find it in the Mitten. read more

Our hats off to the Vet turned pizza chef. His Detroit style pizza was on point. Now his menu has regular pizza for your basic pizza eaters. But if you are a foodie and love trying different things then this place is worth it. We took a chance on The Luau and it was a winner. When you think Hawaiian pizza, you think Red pizza sauce, pineapple and Canadian bacon. But not here, they went with a luau pork and that was cooked perfectly. The Detroit style crust was fire! It had just the right amount of crispy, softness to it. You add the teriyaki sauce drizzled on it and it's a wrap. It'll take sear will power to not over eat.
