Finally, I got a chance to come over here. Met my friends and had a happy hour Saturday afternoon before heading to an event. This place is really nice and clean. Great service and friendly. It's one of those historic hotel in Hollywood. Found a new place to hang out. Reasonable prices and great atmosphere. Check out their happy hour.

My boyfriend surprised me with this restaurant for Valentines and he made a spectacular choice! Not only is the interior classy, beautiful, and warm, the patio is spacious and equally inviting with heat lamps and cushy booths. The servers were all incredible and very on top of their service, as I overheard our waitress switching between English and Spanish to the preference of each person at the table next to us. The menu is reasonably priced with great portion sizes, and everything was delicious. My boyfriend said this was one of if not the best burger he's ever had, we both agreed the peanuts were the star of the night!! My half chicken was savory and sumptuous, I can't wait to come back and try that gravy on the short rib poutine. The happy hour prices and options are phenomenal, and with their own parking lot in the back you can rest assured the Edmond has everything you're looking for and more.

Let's start with the oysters, 10/10 will refit recommend! I had a Porn Star Martini, about a 7/10. It was more lemony than I expected since I usually taste more passion fruit, but it was still yummy. The spot has a very grown and sexy vibe and I will be back. I came on a random night and the DJ played really good music. It's perfect for a girls night out or a nice intimate date. Our server was very attentive and everything ordered came out in a good amount of time.

Delicious food. We had a great fried Caesar salad and goat cheese croquettes. Great service ambiance and at night there was a DJ. I Met very interesting people and it was just at our hotel. What a great night

This is a gorgeous bar located in the Hollywood Historic Hotel. (Like the word "authentic," I always raise an eyebrow when I see the word "historic" in any name.) The Edmon has a solid food and cocktail menu, including a few nice mocktail options. The charcuterie plate (which comes with both meats and cheeses) is very nice. It is worth ordering just to get the basket of crisps that comes with it. I could have eaten a thousand of them. While the decor is very upscale, this being Southern California, you will see customers dressed in all manner of clothes, from cheap printed t-shirts to more upscale cocktail attire. Also, sports fans may be disappointed to learn there are no televisions in this bar. There is plenty of freeeee valet parking in the lot behind the historic hotel so you have no excuse for not visiting. This is a great-looking, comfortable bar for cocktails and munchies.

The space alone makes it a worth stop. We were looking for a spot before a show at the pantages and were glad we found this place. Happy hour is from 4-7 do arriving at 5:30 gave us plenty of good options. Oysters were fresh with two sauces, duck confit tacos were flavorful and the nachos had a hint of what tasted like mole. We weren't done so we went for the short rib poutine - gooey and delicious. Old fashioned and glass of Grenache complimented the meal. Staff was attentive and we can't wait to return.

Finally had a chance to stop by after a long long anticipated first visit but did not disappoint!! What a hidden gem and absolutely stunning and beautiful venue!! Humongous bar with plenty of table seating plus outside patios plus rear parking!!! Live dj spinning disco most of night. Staff were friendly and accommodating but bartender was super funny cool and made me an amazing white Mezcal Negroni....Delicious!!! Vibe was a little strange and lighting...? Maybe a little too bright but definitely would comeback. Also keep in mind they close early here....I think 11pm or midnight?

Who knew this lovely little hotel and its cozy dining and bar space was tucked away on Melrose ? I did not eat here, but we enjoyed a few very well made cocktails. Our barkeep was quick and skilled. I loved the decor which channeled speakeasy comes to old Hollywood. And huge bonus- they have their own parking lot!!! (Although I suspect it fills up quickly).

Excellent stop. Had a concert trip to the Wiltern so we popped in for a few drinks and apps. Great call. Parking was free and plentiful. The bar was gorgeous and the food was delicious. We had the $9 happy hour everyday Old Fashioned's. Perfect pours and paired it with some asada fries and Caesar salad. Now wish this place was closer to me. The bartenders were friendly and provided excellent service. Stop by for Happy Hour any day.

It is quite hard to miss the rich architecture of the building where The Edmon is. When you step in, it gives the Great Gatsby vibes. Art deco with geometric shapes and lines upon entering thru its doors, plush velvet soft seating at the tables, sleek and sophsticated bar area with soft lighting and great music. This place is perfect for after work drinks or a night on the town. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Frenchie. He was cool energy, singing and dancing as he served up some great drinks. We ordered their Spot light cocktail which was gin based (this cocktail changes each time) and old fashioned. Both were delicious. We also ordered short rib barbacoa nachos which were perfect to share. Overall a great place to check out. Their happy hour is from 4pm - 7pm, reasonable expected cost based on location and parking was easy and convenient. I didn't check out their outdoor area but would be great to go back once weather gets better.

The sauce helped bring some juiciness back and balanced it out. The bluefin tuna bibimbap was pretty enjoyable. The tuna tasted fresh and the textures worked well together, but the dish could have used a little more seasoning to make the flavors pop. The perilla was a great touch though. It added a slightly minty flavor that complemented the tuna without taking over the dish. The beef short rib was easily the standout. PERFECTLY cooked, incredibly tender, and seasoned just right. The richness of the meat paired so well with the lettuce wraps that it almost feels like they should automatically come with the dish. Service was good and everything came out smoothly. Would come back!

Drinks: Really, really good. My absolute favorite was the boat drink with foam on top, but we split several others and I liked everything we tried. Vibe: Unmatched. There are several drinks on the menu with a theatrical presentation that gets the whole bar involved. The space is small, so you'll inevitably have your conversation interrupted by an alluring siren's call or some ceremonial rowers. This is a crucial part of the tiki experience for me. The bartenders all have their different spin and clearly are in it for the love of the game. We had a lot of fun chatting with the staff. We decided to get a drink to celebrate Father's Day, only to strike out at the first two bars we tried--I guess a lot of places are closed at 9:30 on a Sunday. This is how we ended up at Thunderbolt, a buzzy bar in Echo Park, just far enough away that we'd never made our way over. I loved it immediately. Thunderbolt has the friendly, comfortable atmosphere of a neighborhood bar and the hip aesthetic and high-level cocktails of a millennial boozer destination. (Not that young people can't or shouldn't hang out here, but it seems especially geared toward people like us, who drank at Walker Inn a decade ago.) We ended up sitting next to a guy who regularly drives up from Palos Verdes. I guess the place gets pretty busy, but it was ideal on a Sunday night. Happening but not crowded, with just enough space at the bar for us to grab two seats together. The bartender was great, super helpful and welcoming. He also made excellent drinks. Thunderbolt is one of those bars with an encyclopedic illustrated book for a menu. Not a long menu, just a detailed one, with a lot of information available about each drink. We got a Liquid Picnic and a Barcelonnette--just one round to close out the weekend. Both were delicious. The Liquid Picnic was a smooth, savory gin martini made with London dry gin, tomato, citron, vermouth, rosemary, and black pepper. I learned from the book that it used clarified tomato water. (There was also further reading about the clarification process.) The Barcelonnette was a mezcal sour with Suze, passionfruit, and lime, the foam made without egg white through some geeky mixologist process. Thunderbolt is not our neighborhood bar, but we plan to go back when we can to check out the rest of the menu. It's a wonderful place, well worth a jaunt on the freeway.
