I had such a great experience at the Endocrine Clinic that I felt it deserved a review. This past Monday I called to schedule my first appointment and Shelley Taylor answered the phone. She was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding while helping me. At first the earliest appointment available was the second week in April, but when I explained that I really needed to be seen sooner, she asked me to hold and see what she could do. When she came back, she said she had an appointment available the very next day. I immediately said yes and was so grateful. When I arrived for my appointment the next day, I met Shelley in person and thanked her again. She had no idea what I was going through at the time, but her kindness truly meant a lot. I went back again this morning, Friday March 13, 2025, for lab work and noticed something that really stood out. Every staff member who walked in to start their shift greeted everyone in the waiting room with a cheerful "good morning." It created such a welcoming and positive environment. Healthcare visits can be stressful, and those small acts of kindness really matter. Thank you to Shelley Taylor and the entire staff for being so professional, compassionate, and welcoming. I hate dealing with these people, and honestly if I didn't love Dr. Karabell so much, I would find another office. Most of the time when I call, I wait on hold for 10+ minutes and no one ever picks up. Once I tried to wait it out and was on hold for over 20 minutes and never even spoke to a person. And don't even attempt to call past 4:00pm because most of the time they've already turned the phones off and you get the "our office is closed" answering system. Waiting periods to make appointments are months out, yet when you ask to make appointments a year in advance, they "can't do that." Most of the staff I've encountered there are friendly, so I don't know if they're understaffed and can't handle the call volume or what, but it's been like this for years now and it's just ridiculous. read more

Dr. Childress is an excellent doctor. I highly recommend this clinic as both staff and doctors are great.

i had my thyroid taken out because my doctor told me to due to cells that kept coming back inconclusive and multiple recurring cysts. that was in february and i have only been able to see my doctor ONCE! every time i call it goes one of 3 ways. 1- no one answers 2- i am placed on a call back list and NEVER called back 3- i am told there are no openings for over 2 months. my thyroid levels are now so bad that i am losing hair and have been horribly exhausted most days no matter what time i go to sleep the night before. frustrating. read more
