This is a fantastic place comprising of a very impressive restaurant, a British wine distribution and tasting center and an excellent venue for weddings. I had the pleasure of attending a wedding there and it was such a beautiful setting. The food was out of this world and the wine was surprisingly good. I know British wine hasn't got a very good reputation but the sparkling white was, in my opinion, better than a lot of expensive Champagnes I've tried. Really friendly staff made the atmosphere even better and it was a real a day to remember! read more

I love this place so much that we're holding our wedding reception in their barn. Pop by to try the best selection of English Wines - you can take a tour and arrange a tasting session complete with a light lunch of regional cheeses, homemade soda bread, local sausages, mixed salads and hot new potatoes served with a glass of wine, cider or organic apple juice. for approx £27.50 per person You can also get wine personalised. The owners of the centre are absolutley love. They also have a beautiful self catering cottage for hire. The centre is located between Brighton and Eastbourne on the A27 and is located close to the beautiful village of Alfriston, the very child friendly Drusillas Park and Middle Farm - home to the national collection of cider. You can't go wrong with a bottle of English white - try to the Ortega! Ample parking as well! We took 4 French cousins here and they loved the wine - says it all really! read more

I went to a wedding here last weekend and it was absolutely gorgeous. The barn is a beautiful setting for both ceremonies and receptions. The food is delicious... I could have eaten that soda bread all night! As we exited the ceremony the staff were a little delayed in bringing out the bubbly but that could be forgiven because there was an ice cream man on hand to keep everyone happy as the photos were being taken. Of course the wine was all delicious with red, white and rose on the tables. With the cheese course we all got a glass on dessert wine and of course some more of the fab bubbly for the toast and speeches. As the bride was my partners sister, I had the pleasure of visiting the wedding day cottage beforehand when they were checking out different venues. I think the cottage is definitely a sweet addition which made the happy couple choose this venue in the first place. All in all gorgeous place, food and atmosphere... read more
