Here I am over a month later and still no refund and they don't give any useful answers by email. Seriously, the place is a joke. All I want is my money back that you have taken.

The store is a particular hit among my nieces who, like other young girls, just loves the High School Musical and Hannah Montana items. As a big kid, I do love the Winnie the Pooh soft toys. Blast From The Past is just that, it's a retro toyshop that has figures galore, loads of old Nintendo games which pleased my gaming obsessed son no end, and there vinyl section had the most fantastic selection of 80's soundtracks I've seen in quite some time. The staff were fantastic, even though we didn't spend more than a fiver, they were warm and welcoming. Shops like these are an asset to the local community. I can't wait until I've got a bit more spare cash to hand (school uniform season!) to go back and have me a bit of a soundtrack splurge!

The second we stepped in staff were already kind and welcoming, helped with understanding rules to new games, advised on army expansion and were helpful on navigating the building. The dioramas were breathtaking a wide variety or factions and games from the Old World to Blood Bowl, Horus Heresy to 40k. Was a shame that I didn't bring my Army to play in the Game hall due to travelling by train yet that did not ruin my day at all. Bugmans was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING the food was better than meals in a Proper Restaurant. However the prices are a bit high, for example £17 for the Hunters Chicken Burger but the Price fits the value. Also to mention entry tickets were not that expensive, I think around £5 for Adult entry and £4ish for 12+. This was one of the best days out of my life. I will be returning and bringing freinds.

But, they didn't have any of the base in stock, so I had to sign up for their website, and pay for three bases, which took ten days to arrive. This was pretty awful but I was too confused and awkward to do anything except pay and wait. Then I went in last week because all of the flying bases for my gargoyles were fucked, they didn't fit my minis and the stems didn't even fit into their bases! The staff member I dealt with opened up a fresh box of gargoyles and then proved that the bases were also miscast, accused me of not being able to build toy soldiers and then, very sweetly, gave me the flying bases from the boxed set he just opened, which he had demonstrated were defective. So now I have twenty fucking useless flying stands where before I had ten. And gw flying stands are made of an incredibly brittle plastic that's a ball ache to shave and/or fit so ten extra stands that are also miscast is not a bonus! I'm not going back and I miss when gw had real customer service, I have no idea what I'm going to do with this unit of gargoyles that don't have the flying stands they need

CostCo is a large retail store selling items mostly in bulk from toothpaste, drinks, crisp, cereal to singular items such as perfumes/colognes, clothes, TV, jewellery etc. If you want to waste money, go to CostCo! I went to the one in Derby and although it had many items and it was a reasonably humongous store, it's nothing compared to the USA especially the free samples! There is also a Pizza Parlour where one can have freshly made pizza made by CostCo staff. I've heard they're good but never tried any so when you do , let me know! There are too many good things to say about CostCo but that'll fill a few pages. However, the negative is that it's members only and one has to be one of the following as far as I can remember : Occupation: Bank/Finance Education Local government / police force / fire and rescue service Civil service / armed forces Post office Medical health service such as the NHS Airline Insurance Qualified as : Certified or chartered Accountant Doctors / opticians / dentist / pharmacist Chartered architect Chartered engineer / civil etc Chartered surveyor Individual membership costs around £30 including VAT whilst Trade costs £24 a year. The CostCo Gold card would be double the prices at a slight discount. Note: * Be wary of the VAT as it's not included in the prices however, the total sum is always summarised near the product. * The owner and primary user of the membership card can take two people in with them when shopping at a time. This one probably has the biggest variety of stock and is in the westfield centre for convenience. The layout is quite simple and everything seems to be in a relevant place although the shopping aisles seem a little small and the shelves are usually packed very fully. The staff are not that friendly and i wouldn't really want a conversation with them anyway. They just want to get the queue down as quick as they can which is very efficient but not very customer friendly. This shop always seems to be extremely busy and it is hard to get around. There is a policy in this store: If the till operator does not give you a receipt, go to the manager and they will give you £5. Sounds good but they will always give you a receipt. The prices are very good and they offer some brill brands for the price that they offer. It is also useful when you don't have much cash and fancy a cheap drink. The best thing about the 99p store compared to the £shops is the variety of lines and there is so much more choice especially with the food and confectionery aisles. Just think if you spend £10 a week in Poundland then go to the 99p store and save 10p a week and those pennies will mount up :) Back to the reviewIt is well laid out with plenty of room to get round up and down the aisles with the major plus being the till staff. They are all very polite. They always say Hello and Goodbye and Please and Thank you and they are very fast. The queues go down very quickly without fuss. Also they are trained to give you a receipt every time so if they don't, you can go to the manager and he will give you a fiver!
