4.5/5: My girlfriend & I went here for my birthday week…read more Exterior: We loved the look of the hotel from the outside and parking was easy. During the day it was beautiful and at night the trees were all lit up which felt magical. We liked the area where people get married as well. Inside front desk area: Gorgeous and perfect for pictures we absolutely loved the way it was decorated and the sheer size of the main room. There is plenty of seating. We received our room key right away and the key return was simple too. The Room: The large size of the room, the feel of the bed, the furniture, the draw space, the small but empty fridge kept our drinks cold, and the lighting was nice. Our room was conveniently placed on the first floor near the front desk and near our car. BATHROOM: It was large, had an extra towel, and nice bathroom products. The shower was good and fit 2 comfortably and it had a large bath but the stopper was not working so we did not try it again as it made more sense to try the pool to relax. (We are young but I think older people may have trouble getting in and out). POOL: The pool was INDOOR and well lit, warm, and we had no other guests there the 2 times we went. They had plenty of towels, places to sit/relax, and a bathroom at the pool too. (Note: No food or drink is allowed in the pool). STAFF: The hotel staff and front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. They gave us an extra tissue box on request. They made it easy to book an extra night too. Restaurant on premise: We saw they had a restaurant and went only for drinks at the end of the night. It is not open that late so check the hours. Next time we come we will try the food. Shops: In walking distance is a small shopping center with a wine store, cheese store, candy store, a carousel, a restaurant, a pizza shop, and several others that were lit up at night and pleasant to walk through. It had decorations for Christmas. It was a bit cold, so I can see spring/summer being a better time to visit. They do not have everything and are geared to weddings so you may still want to venture out. (Also it felt odd they did not have a hairstylist/makeup artist shop, or photographer studio as one of the shops since there are so many weddings here). Keep in mind these are separate establishments. Protip: check the hours for the carousel before going. Negatives: -0.5 There is NO microwave in the room, only 1 shared microwave at the front desk where they serve complimentary coffee/tea and sell affordable snacks/perishables. (This was still much better than expensive minibar/minifridges in the room like in other hotels). We never had to wait for the microwave but reheating and carrying it back to the room and opening the heavy door was a little rough sometimes. I could see this being tedious to older guests. SMART TV: It is a nice size smart tv but you have to sign into your apps on the tv and actively remember to sign out or the next guest will have access to your netflix, hulu, etc. (several guests forgot to do so) The hbomax app was not immediately available and required a download code from the hotel and I did not want to do all of that at 1am so we skipped it and watched something else. Hoping the hotel staff will download ALL the possible apps ahead of time so guests do not have this issue in the future. Weddings/events: This felt like a perfect spot that was affordable and luxurious in terms of hotel. I did not attend an event here but saw they finished an event with many people the night we arrived and were prepping for a wedding the day we were leaving. Everyone seemed happy. Spa: The spa seems like a fun feature but the price is too much for us (it is even more than the hotel night stay) but it might be worth splurging if it was a honeymoon. Gym: The gym near the pool was not accessible. There was a separately owner gym/fitness center that charged a small fee. (We did not go and enjoyed swimming as exercise instead). 4.5/5: Of all the hotels we visited in 2025, this was the BEST experience and affordable. It was worth our 1.5 hr drive making the NY staycation (my birthday week) a real vacation. We hope to go once a year every year and will even considered it for our future wedding if they have affordable pricing and maintain the quality.

We had our wedding at East Wind Long Island on October 26, 2025, and it was absolutely amazing!…read moreEverything from start to finish was beautifully done and so well-organized. We had our reception in the Veranda Room, which was absolutely stunning -- our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous it was. We worked with Nicole, who was such a sweetheart and incredibly attentive from the very beginning. On the day of the wedding, we had a few hiccups (nothing related to the venue or staff), but our bridal attendant, Lex, was PHENOMENAL! Truly, she deserves a raise -- she went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and that I was taken care of. I couldn't have made it through the day without her! The service was classy, the food was delicious, and everything ran so seamlessly. The only thing that surprised me was that, for the cost of the rooms, I would have expected some additional amenities -- like bottled water in the rooms -- but that's such a small detail compared to how wonderful everything else was. Overall, I highly recommend East Wind Long Island for your wedding or any special event. It was a dream come true!

When I first got engaged, I knew a few things: I wanted a picture-perfect wedding with tons of…read morepersonal details that "felt like" my (now) husband and me. My (now) mother-in-law immediately booked a wedding event planner who's known as "the best" and we began the planning process almost 2 years before we actually said "I do." Welp, turns out "the best" was a complete nightmare, more so because he didn't give 0 you-know-what's about my vision, getting to know us as a couple (or, as people in general) and basically wanted our wedding to be a cookie-cutter version of all the others he's coordinated. A mere 3 months before our wedding I couldn't take it anymore and we finally fired him, which felt freeing until I realized we had assembled an incredible dream team of vendors, but had no idea how to pull it all together for our big day. After getting a recommendation from our amazing photographer (Kelsey Combe) and reading glowing reviews, I reached out to Kate, desperate and nervous. We immediately connected with Kate's calming, soothing demeanor on our first phone call and she was (thankfully!) willing to take on our wedding and right all the wrongs of our previous planner. Kate was an absolute angel (and I don't say this lightly!), who was patient, kind, insanely organized and professional and went above and beyond in executing my original vision. She fully embraced all of the wacky ideas we had (vinyl records as party gifts? sure! multiple disco balls? okay!) and brought so many out-of-the-box ideas to the table as well. Using her software, AislePlanner, made even the most annoying aspects of wedding planning (the dreaded seating charts) fun and simple. There's no rest for the wicked? False: there's literally no rest for wedding planners. I have no idea how Kate does it (and I'm a detail-oriented interior designer myself!), but she expertly crafted our best day ever and was the voice of reason (while being a kick-ass coordinator) on the day of our wedding. I cannot recommend her enough and am super jealous of all the future brides who get to work with Kate. A million times thank you to you, Kate! xx

They did EVERYTHING, and I mean everything, to make our wedding as stress-free and smooth as possible. A short list of everything they did included: meeting with us by phone multiple times in the months leading up to our wedding; helping us create our day-of timeline; coordinated with all of our vendors in the final month before our wedding; transporting items to and from our venue on the day of; setting up centerpieces and other items; running back to our hotel when I forgot my dress socks and watch; and who knows what else behind-the-scenes! The amount of stress that Amanda and Andi lifted off of our shoulders was immeasurable and invaluable; we could not have had such a successful day without them! They somehow manage to do it all without us having to worry at all about hiccups, snafus, or drama of any kind. Beyond that, both of them are wonderful people who are kind, easy to get along with, and extremely supportive. We loved all of our vendors but Amanda and Andi have a special place in our hearts - we can't imagine what we would have done without them. Thank you both so much!!!
