There are five guest rooms, newly double-glazed, and each with colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a residents' lounge bar, with a good selection of drinks, and games such as Scrabble, dominoes and cards, should the heavens open. Prices range from £20 to £30 person per night, including full English breakfast. Edited to add that the owners work hard to make stays enjoyable, for instance by offering parking permits, and in their hospitality. I have very much enjoyed my stays here!

Being a light sleeper, the double-glazing in the room is very welcome. On my last visit, I had dinner there on two nights. One meal was particularly memorable - fresh local crab, beautifully prepared and served with a decent well-chilled wine. Next to the dining room is a small, well-stocked bar. For me, this is an above average guest house, and I totally recommend it - for single visitors and families alike. Not only for the room and the food and the welcome, but also because all local amenities (shops, bars, beach etc) are immediately nearby.

It was a vast improvement on what we had just seen. The owners were lovely and showed us a few rooms before we picked one and paid for it. It was conformtable with decent space around the bed with a good view and was ensuite and had tea and coffee. The floor boards creaked abit as they tend to do in any older building. The breakfast was lovely - well cooked and well presented with ample choice of hot and cold, traditional breakfast as well as kippers or porriage (or vegertarian cooked breakfast) - so would suit all tastes. The staff are friendly and helpful and are happy to give advice on where to go. You also have the option of booking evening meals and they do have a licence to serve alcohol in a small bar area. We have been going back once a year ever since. The only downside is now it is getting a bit pricey as you pay per person not per room so there are less expensive B&Bs available in the area. It is located on Falconers Road overlooking the roundabout next to Iceland supermarket and Westborough Street. There is no free car parking however the pay-and-display parking opposite the hotel is free in the evening and overnight. Also there is a secure car park building close to the hotel which closes its gate at night around 11 pm if my memory serves me right. There is an attached pub which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had a breakfast and an early dinner there. The food quality was good but the breakfast selection wasn't as diverse as the rest of the Premier Inn's I stayed in. The staff in the reception and the pub were friendly and helpful. The lady at the reception disk gave me useful information regarding where to park the hire car. This is a good place to stay regardless which traveler category you fall under.

First of all let me say that this is most likely to be the best hotel in the region of Bridlington…read moreand Filey. It has a progressive attitude and is a welcome departure from the typically OAP centric area. I really do want this place to strive on for future awards and not rest on those past achievements in the eighties. We stayed in the standard room with breakfast on a three nights for two deal. The hotel, restaurant buildings surround a gravel courtyard for parking and there are plenty of spaces. The first impressions are good and the hotel has an air of class about it. The reception is not always manned but with a slow yet friendly start we were set. Our standard room was described at reception as 'spacious', it was most certainly not. However upon comparison with the other rooms on the fire plan it was one of the larger rooms. The size is adequate if you are tidy and organised. The bed although small was indeed comfortable and was the best part of the room. An attempt to keep the design contemporary and clean had been made but there was a lack of attention to detail. The windows locks were missing, the bathroom lamp flickered if one sat on the toilet and the bedside lamps were fitted with old fashioned non-energy saving bulbs, one of which was broken upon arrival. Faults were reported and remedial action was undertaken that very day. The consistency of this service was undermined by the fact our room was not serviced at all for one of the three days, I can only assume the cleaner has Sunday off. The breakfast is delivered in an elegant surrounding and your place is already set for you. The menu seems at first limiting especially on the continental side of things. The service is excellent and our requests were catered for and remembered day in day out. The grilled breakfast is generous and if a high standard. The adjoining restaurant 'Azzurro' is a well laid out and design conscious. Service was prompt, friendly but not over fussy. All of the starters bar the Gamberoni were a little overly constructed. The typical quantity explosion occurred, the stuffed Romano pepper starter at Pizza Hut could teach them a lot. Simple flavours, small plate, done well for the price. Instead my stuffed pepper (Pepperoni Ripieni) was drowned beneath a bowl of melted cheese and filled with a mundanity usually reserved for little chef. On to better things however. The (Filletto Sfizio) Prime Fillet, Mushroom, Truffle, Dolce Latte & Cream was superb and cooked to order very well although a little more medium than rare. This dish although the most expensive deserves your attention. Don't let the pizza oven steer you away from this. The pizzas that were ordered although crispy and authentic on the outer base were overloaded with topping which in turn made for a moist inner base. To conclude, the hotel and the Azzurro are laid before you as a potential masterpiece and I am sure that on occasion all the notes are hit but for me, the admission of room servicing for one day supplement to the repair state of the accommodation let's that potential remain exactly that.

I stayed in room 21 on the night of Saturday 10th June 2023 and i was extremely surprised when my room that was just a twin room had a balcony that overlooked the town nicely. Entire room was spotlessly clean including things like the bath, toilet, beds etc. The breakfast was the best breakfast i had had in a very long time, cooked to perfection. This was our 4th stay and it goes from strength to strength. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the linens and soft furnishings are top notch and the atmosphere is comfy. The ownership obviously takes great pride in their business and it shows. We have stayed at many other places in Scarborough including The Crown Hotel which is consistently named the top hotel in town but believe us, THE MANSION HOUSE IS THE BEST ACCOMMODATION IN SCARBOROUGH.

The hotel consists of a large Windmill which has been there for years, where guests can actually stay, then rooms alongside the courtyard to the front of the windmill entrance. We had booked a family room, which was basically two rooms knocked into one, which did cost us a bit more, but my daughter was very pleased to have her own room (and en suire bathroom!) I found the rooms to be very basic but clean and just what we were expecting. We were staying bed and breakfast, though I think they did evening meals as well. Breakfast is served in the dining room which is inside the Windmill itself. The owner is a VERY keen toy collector, and these are displayed all around the room. It was fascinating to see all of the toys from times past, and my daughter loved that. There was also a little area in reception with toys for the children staying at the hotel to play with, which i found useful on an evening when we got back. The breakfasts were really good, excellent portions and we were made to feel really welcome. I would recommend the Windmill to others.

Very nice and affordable guesthouse centrally located near Peaholm Park in a quite and pretty area. Had a cosy, clean, and spacious room with en-suite and several further facilities. The owner was very nice and always keen to help. We were also highly pleased with the breakfast from which you could chose between three or four different kinds (e.g. English, Scottisch, European etc.).
