Sat outside during a packer game and it was a good - not crazy crowded time. I had the Caesar Salad with blackened chicken which was amazing - just a LOT of croutons for me to finish. Super filling. Scott, the bartender, provided terrible service. The restaurant wasn't busy but he seemed to struggle keeping up. We sat at the bar for almost 10 minutes with no service. I eventually asked the customer next to me for the drink menu but still could not get Scott's attention. I finally called out to him and his response was he thought someone else was helping me - yet no one else was behind the bar. I ordered a beer for my husband and asked to sample 2 beers - and yep you guessed it he ignored me in getting my order. Finally I saw Mya and she helped. I did let her know that I wanted someone else to help us since Scott was so dismissive, sarcastic, and rude. Khai stepped in and made the whole experience worthwhile - she was friendly, helpful, and kind. I have to say I stopped going to Good City because of the customer service - frankly it's no better now. Oh boy, this was absolutely terrible. The service is lackluster and the food is even worse. My friend ordered a burger & said it was okay. I ordered the boneless wings and they were hard, cold & ontop of that, I found some sort of napkin/cloth/gooey substance imbedded in my ranch that I had been dipping my food inside. Beer was obviously good, had a burger average to slightly below. Not anything to brag about. Service sucked. Only 4 or five tables and maybe 6 people at the bar. Bartender's and servers more busy on there phones than tending to customers. The 3% extra charge on all checks is in itself a reason not to go back. We went to Emporium Brewpub on a Sunday afternoon. There were a few scattered customers present, but the place was not busy. We sat at the bar. It appeared to be the lone bartender, a server or two and kitchen staff. We received menus right away, but then sat for quite some time before we were asked if we wanted a drink. There was another guy behind the bar (not sure manager, owner, or what his position was). He spent the entire time talking to the gentleman next to us. Never once asked us if we needed anything. We waited long enough we almost left without ordering. After finally getting a beer, we planned on ordering some food, but no one ever came back by to take our order. I was finished with my beer and sat with an empty glass for 5-10 min. Never asked if I wanted anything else. The bartender was mainly on the other side of the bar and the only way to get his attention would have been to yell. We finally did get his attention so that we could pay for our beers and leave. Had a basic grilled chicken and it was so over cooked it was chewy and ultimately inedible. The potato leek soup was the worst I've ever had. And I mean the worst! Staff did not tell patrons that they had more beer on tap than what was on a printed list. I knew to go to untapped to view the tap list but who all knows to do that? Service was indifferent and non existent. It was clear there were issues with the food and no one asked. They socialized at the end of the bar and didnt take care of any of the customers. I am not sure that these are worth $2 a piece. They tasted good because of honey sauce. Can't comment on the blue cheese dipping sauce since that wasn't included with my order. Stopped in for lunch. Shoukd have left after nine of the 4 staff members chatting at bar coukd muster up even a simple greeting. Service was lackluster at best - every staff member appeared to hate me in general - no smiles & only the most rudimentary of conversation. Pulled pork sandwich was good, but didn't stand out. Burger was severely undercooked & since server didn't appear for another 20+ minutes it was apparent no one cares if meal was OK. This was confirmed when I was charged full price - apparently I should have planned to take it home & cook it properly myself. What was I thinking? Also ordered jalapeño stuffed pretzel.. Their idea of stuffed was smooshing a pretzel while cutting in half and tossing a 1/2 dozen pieces of pickled jalapeños on it with a very few small pieces of swiss cheese then subbing with a fork & knife to cut it & eat like a sandwich. Such a frustrating experience. I have a severe gluten allergy and need to be very careful what I eat. This was on a Friday night and the place was crowded and we needed to sit at the bar if we wanted to be seated right away, which we did since we were very hungry. The bartender was very busy, but brought us water right away. He did not bring us a drink menu or ask us if we wanted anything else. We let him know that I have a gluten allergy and needed the gluten free bun for my burger and double checked that the rest of the meal was also gluten free, which he confirmed. When the meal came, it came with regular fries and not the curry fries that I ordered. No big deal and since I was hungry i didn't say anything and I took a couple of bites from my burger, before realizing it was the same bun as my fiancée's and was not gluten free. Knowing I would be sick later, I let the bartender know what happened. He made sure to let us know it was the kitchen's fault and not his. He said he talked with the manager and they would bring me a new burger with the gluten free bun. I ate my fries and waited... and waited... and waited. Twice he came back to see how everything was and we asked him for napkins and silverware, which he never did bring. After waiting for about 25 minutes, we asked him what was taking so long. He seemed genuinely confused and he finally realized I was still waiting for the new burger. By this time we just wanted to leave, but my fiancée asked to speak to the manager and he would not let us and said the manager couldn't do anything different and that he already took care of it. Since I still didn't have my food that I ordered, I was confused as to what he meant by "I already took care of it". He then said he wasn't charging us for our meals. We did not come there to try and get free food; I was genuinely very hungry and just wanted to be able to eat without getting any sicker. He said he would check where my burger was, but after about 10 more minutes we just gave up and left. Mistakes happen and I am pretty laid back, but at least try to correct those mistakes and apologize and don't put the blame on others. Not charging me for a meal that I never received is not "taking care " of anything. read more

First trip here for a late lunch with friends. I wasn't drinking but everyone seemed to like their beers. I got the impossible burger with a sriracha Russian sauce and avocado and a side of curry fries. We also had cheese curds for the table. The food was wonderful, especially the curry fries. Not too overwhelmingly spiced! The cheese curds were perfectly done - I was a little nervous seeing other reviews that said they were too salty but I didn't think that was the case. Parties of 4-5 that came after me and my husband was served ALL there meals before ours came out. We order two meals and two drinks! Another couple came after us as well and there food came out prior to our order! Our server NOAH was the worse ever! This man had the audacity to tell us that he doesn't MAKE THE FOOD! The hell is wrong with there staff, and the fact that he couldn't even try and empathize that our food didn't come out prior to the other two tables that we pointed out to him told us that it was beyond personal. We are visiting from Florida and have family locally in Wisconsin but most definitely will NEVER recommend this place! He didn't even get a manager to comp any our food that we waited for for over an hour no apology no thing! The worse place ever. We sat at the bar and service wasn't good, apparently it's more important to do silverware at the end of the bar than to check on the customers! Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, they didn't put the sauce on it and the chicken was really dry, truly uneatable!
