But for someone who works in a bar, and so gets to bed at about 15 minutes before dawn, that's kind of a kicker. Especially when the hovel you've wound up renting has windows that are thinner than some molecules I've met. That's where Apollo Blinds came flying in, hands atop its hips like some kind of domestic superhero. Student-affordable, thick curtains were bought and relished and are now, three houses later, still with me. Sure, they may not match the decor, but they served me well and I don't think I have it in me to ever bin them.

Many of the items in store are rather tacky, for example they had a large supply of mink blankets with the Welsh flag as the motif (you'd have to be pretty patriotic to buy that!). The clothing selection focused on underwear, which was very basic. In my mind the only real redeeming feature to Shaws is that the prices are significantly low. I imagine this place is probably very popular with students, and would recommend it to those on a tight budget.
