The only alternatives are much more harsher and inhumane and also add to a rise in cost for the consumer, however this isn't the reason I don't like this store. Inside, this store was okay, it was a decent size albeit slightly small especially compared to similar stores elsewhere in the Manchester Arndale Centre such as Lush. The members of staff here seemed unfriendly and rude, I came in, walking around the store and taking pictures, I was basically starred at, no one asked me if I was okay or not and looking for anything, I didn't even get a hello, welcome or goodbye which was a shame. Overall, most of the products to me seemed like junk and it wasn't something I'd buy, perhaps because I'm not the target market but still I can't help but feel most of their products don't warrant the price, as well as the unethical techniques from the company as well as the really rude, unhelpful staff and high pricing, I sadly feel this store deserves just one star which is a shame to start of The Body Shop in 2017, with this being the first review they have received this year so far (The first in over 6 months)

The fact she pulled it off and built The Body Shop into a global brand with thousands of shops across the world is obviously a great achievement. Stepping back however, I think the products aren't as impressive as they used to be. They're still ethical and fair trade but they don't look or feel as good on your skin. I wandered round this store for quarter of an hour the other day and couldn't find a single product I was tempted to buy for myself or anyone else. Perhaps it's time for a Body Shop make-over?

It didn't help Bodycare and The Body Shop look very similar either. Bodycare is a large shop in The Manchester Arndale centre with great selection, they have a good variety of pain killers, shampoo, soap and lots of other things. The staff seemed polite and for a first time visitor of Bodycare I left happy as they did have a wide range of products for great value. If you are looking for Body products in the Manchester Arndale, I would recommended this large, cheap shop which is located next to WHSmith and near to Thorntons and EE. I have visited this shop a few times now and I have also found a good range of soap products here. UPDATE: After some consideration, including that the queuing system can often leave customers waiting slightly longer, and the design of the store, appearing to get as many products as they can, rather than spacing them out and making it into a modern, cool store, really lowers my opinion of this store, hence I feel a 3 star rating is more deserved.

Nicola really took her time and actually listened to what I wanted, she offered advice on my chosen hairstyle and suggested different styles that would also suit me but without being pushy. The color she did was exactly what I wanted even though I couldn't put it into words, she really enjoys what she does and didn't rush the color and cut put took her time . Some hairdressers try to rush you and you can end up feeling like you are on a conveyor belt. I felt comfortable and pampered with a choice of beverages: Tea, Coffee, Juice, Wine, Beer or Water. There is a also a restroom at the back of the shop. The shop stocks a wide range of Tigi at affordable prices, I purchased some shampoo & Conditioner I have been unable to find anywhere else. I was also amazed at the total cost of my color and Cut, I had expected it to be quite expensive as I had a full head, restyle and blow dry but it came to half what I usually pay!! Overall my experience was good and I will be going back. Also worth a mention, I was able to park my car without a fee right next to the salon and I noted a main route just a few doors down.
