It is a lovely stone building with lots of character and is nicely appointed and converted into a restaurant, so has excellent ambience. Food was outstanding. We had the multi-course Christmas menu. My starter was home -made fried black pudding and my main course was outstanding Beef Wellington (both 5 stars). The Wellington was perfectly prepared, tender, with excellent ingredients while the black pudding was flavourful and crispy outside with tender inside. Everything else was excellent but I can't remember all of the details because I forgot to take pictures of the menu and other dishes. We all received complementary house-brewed ale. This is no understatement as I eats steak multiple times a week, always ribeye and most of the time US prime. However this steak was incredible and the peppercorn sauce again did not overpower the steak but rather complimented it. I finished with the cheese plate and a glass of port. The cheese selection was spot on and I exceptionally enjoyed the blue. The chutney was probably the best accompaniment for the cheese selection. Crackers were ok and I could have used a toast but it didn't matter. Service was impeccable, even in a rushed setting it was perfect. All suggestions were spot on, never felt rushed and it always felt friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I would definitely come back and go out of my way to come back.

The tasting menu was overall very good but uneven -- for example, the mackerel and sirloin were fantastic but the millefeuille was pretty average. Nothing was bad, however. Service was a bit uneven for a place of this price point and ambition (after all, they do keep mentioning being on the Michelin guide). Our server was confused by my wine bottle order and I had to correct her. Then she mixed up one of the wine pairings for one of our dinner companions, who opten for the pairing for each item on the tasting menu. And at some point throughout the evening, they just stopped collection our empty glasses so our table got cluttered. I still had a good experience overall, and I enjoyed my meal other than the dessert, but I would've expected a bit better service for a place of this caliber.

The restaurant is at the top of the building with windows from all directions. Even the restroom (the sink area, not the actual WC) had a nice view of the river/city. 2) The food was so elegant and presented as art - yet everything was very tasty. I enjoyed everything and the quantity and quality was perfect for my three course meal. and 3) Service was prompt and refilled our glasses often. Certainly a great place to dress up and add a bit of glamour to your night. It was my first visit to Tiger Hornsby's last night and I was so impressed that I think this will now become one of my favourite destinations for drinks. I absolutely loved it! The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, wearing smiles all round. Even on a busy Saturday night they still offered table service which is great...especially when you're comfortable on one of their lovely sofas! The drinks are pretty expensive to be fair....although we did arrive outside of happy hour so we missed the £4 cocktail deals. That said they have a fantastic selection of drinks available and I cannot wait to try some more cocktails. My only personal dislike was the shape of the wine glasses albeit a tiny gripe and certainly not a deterrent. Slightly quieter than some bars on a weekend, perhaps as it is a bit further along the quayside, but this makes it even more appealing and I think it still remains a hidden gem - long may it last! We did wait far too long for a drink order so by the time it came my husband had already finished his meal and had to gulp down a £3.50 shandy. They were also out of Diet Coke, the only low calorie option was water.
