Outstanding pies. The venison whiskey relish pie, oh my. If there is a line, it's well worth the wait!

The store was extremely busy, but everything moved quickly. The meat pies were flaky on the outside, but rich on the inside. The meat wasn't dry, and the seasoning was wonderful. A must-visit!

Pies are a tick below 10 NZD, the menu constantly shifting during our visit around 1PM since they were freshly baking and selling out of pies constantly as the line moved. A Steak & Cheese was suddenly fair game upon making our way to the till and I also ordered an extra far out selection in the form of the Pork Belly & Apple Sauce pie. It was interesting securing a spot outside where all the tables are located though be prepared for crumbs galore since parties are constantly rotating through. Super flakey pie crusts are to be had. The pork belly with apple sauce sweet and savory combo worked surprisingly well. The candied pork belly on top was a neat added bonus. These were sensible, comforting pies, in my humble opinion, though its renown probably diminished by its fast-paced touristy vibe which, I imagine, could affect consistency and quality at times. Our pies were one of great enjoyment though!

What we were super happy about is that this cafe offers traditional diner/breakfast-y foods but they also offer Filipino breakfasts!! Matcha Latte 1.5/5 okay so,, there was negative matcha in this. However, it somehow ended up tasting like a chai latte?? Which I also like so while I did not mind it my rating is based on the lack of matcha Eggs your Way 4/5, solid egg breakfast, nothing super special but not bad and enjoyed the filling meal Filipino breakfast dish 5/5, ok so my friend forgot the name of this specific dish but, please note the photo below and show some staff if you would like to order. Unfortunately it was raining so didn't get to truly walk around and explore, but it is a quaint place with plenty eateries. We decided on Stone Oven bakery and cafe since it looked like a lot of locals were dining. I am so glad we came to eat here! The service has been so good and friendly. Chatting with the employees made me feel very welcomed. We ordered Hoki Breakfast (their version of egg's Benedict on sweet potato rosti), Fish and Chips, and Jenny Craig (Rich whipped cream in a bun that was covered in cinnamon sugar). Hoki Breakfast's sweet potato rosti was very nice! A wonderful twist to the traditional Benedict. Fish and Chips was so delicious! Fish was crisp, and really tender inside. Jenny Craig, surprisingly not that sweet, but very satisfying to eat. Loved the service and the food!
