My friend and I took a day trip to Potsdam and stoped by Extrablatt for lunch before going to Sansoucci. We asked to sit outside to enjoy the sunny day and were seated immediately. We were a bit surprised at the number of menus (3-4 on the table) and had plenty of food options to choose from! I ended up ordering the Italian currywurst, mostly out of curiosity, and thoroughly enjoyed the twist on a classic German dish. As I don't particularly enjoy beer, I decided to try a fruit beer, which was much more to my taste. The only downside to my experience was the smokers sitting upwind of us, but I suppose that's inevitable in Europe.

It's a pretty expansive menu, and they offer English menus. We all ordered different types of burgers, which came with fries and coleslaw. Honestly, everything tasted fine. Nothing super amazing, but not bad either. Although, if you really want an American experience.. I'd pass on the milkshakes. We tried milkshakes in Germany on different occasions, and none of the times have they tasted anything like American milkshakes. It doesn't taste bad, just different. If you're open to trying something different, then definitely go for it. But, if you're expecting it to taste like the milkshakes in the US, you'll be disappointed.
