Stop the bait and switch! We stopped in and saw a beautiful eggplant salad in the case. It was presented on a dinner plate with grated cheese and priced at $14. We asked for it, paid, and when presented at the counter, we were given a small bowl that was maybe half the portion, and no cheese garnish at all. It just looked messy. When I asked about the salad in the case, presented with all the other foods they were taking directly from the case, we were told that it was for display only. That's deceptive and unethical! The staff said nothing and walked away. I spoke with the manager and explained the experience. She did apologize and offered to give us something additional. I politely declined, as I wasn't looking to get free stuff, merely point out it's unethical and they should either change the display or offer what's advertised. She could have simply offered a larger portion but did not. We returned just to take a peek a week or so later, there was no change. Lucky to go there just before Covid19 shut down, a fantastic concept, a farm with pigs and bee hives amongst other animals. A cafe and an eatery with a florist on-site as well. Horse riding and just an amazing setting just out of Byron Bay. Overall a great experience and I know I'll be back. read more

This is an incredible lunch or dinner stop outside Byron. They have amazing coffee (we live in North America, this is important to me). The food is fresh and well thought out. We had the ploughmans lunch and the Burrata (house made) and both were amazing. After lunch we strolled around the farm with our kid. Such a fantastic way to spend an afternoon and well worth a visit. It's good for families but it's also very much a place for foodies (ugh hate that term). Will definitely visit again if we're in the area. read more

The Farm is what you'd get if The Incredible Hulk picked up the Grounds of Alexandria and dropped it into Byron Bay. It's a huge, sprawling, rustic, foodie paradise with everything anyone could ever want to be happy - a play area with animals like giant hoary pigs for kids to goggle at, tons of niche craft beers on tap, an organic produce section with fruit and vegetables and smoked salts and chutneys and cookbooks, a bakery with insanely good home made sausage rolls and pastries, obligatory barista, sit-down eating area with beautifully-plated healthy foods like baba ghanouj and radish and slow-cooked brisket with aoili and greens and hot mustard and beer-battered onion rings, a bar and cocktail area where they do house-spiced Bloody Mary's spiked with kombucha and other seasonal cocktails, and an informal BBQ area where they dish up things like pulled pork rolls and other fine meaty goodness. Coming on a weekend? Don't have anywhere to be, the wait can be brutal. But then, they've made sure there's lots to see and do and snack on while you're waiting so settle in, write off half a day and enjoy your bad self. You earned it. read more

This place has been featured on tv and is very well recognized, apparently it's rated one of the best in Australia or something like that. The food was fantastic, all whole foods, plenty of it is locally grown. You can do a walk with the family and there are informative signs about the local produce. Plenty of space to kick a ball around and things for the kids to do - slides, swings, and lots of farm animals on the 1km walk. There are a lot of options for food, including the bakery and the menu in the restaurant part. You can also order food from the bakery in the restaurant. Be prepared for quite an expensive experience in the restaurant, but it is well worth it and incredibly healthy. Our only real complaint would be the loudness of the music, it was a little bit too in your face. This is something that Australian restaurants are really terrible at, and this place unfortunately is no exception. Volume level and choice of music is so important in making for a pleasant atmosphere in my opinion. read more

Like many Yelpers in Byron Bay, after a morning surf we made our way out to The Farm in hope of wholesome replenishment and an enjoyable dining experience. But due to poor signage we hit a few detours and bypassed the restaurant after discovering breakfast finishes at 11:45am. Thankfully we found refuge in the casual barbecue area out the back and enjoyed a classic crowd pleaser - the pulled pork bun, with juicy slaw and jalapeños accompanied by ginger beer, Stone Wood Pacific Ale and a green juice (how could we not in Byron?). I'm removing one star for the lack of brunch and signage but an honourable mention does go out to the The Farm's baristas - the best almond latte I've ever had. Overall, you can find a hearty, wholesome meal here, and explore a property exceeding the garden variety (the pig pen was a hit with my fellow Yelpers). What can't you say about this place, it's perfect,set on a huge block of land the kids can run around, there's a play park for them as well. You have to stop here you won't be disappointed, enjoy a fabulous meal on the deck, food is expensive, but worth every cent, plenty of local produce as well as its own bakery. My friend had the halumi salad, and I had the beef brisket. So tender it just melted in your mouth. A liitle bit tricky to get into. As you leave the Pacific Highway to go to Byron Bay , it's the first left exit at the round about. I will be going back. read more

If it wasn't for the fantastic location, scenery and incredible set up of The Farm I definitely would have left within the first 30 minutes. We were seated just after 7am (when they open) and ignored for 25 minutes, we then had to get the attention of two staff members to place our order and were then told the kitchen didn't open until 7:30, which would have be nice to know as we were being seated. Three meals left the kitchen between 7 & 7:30, and there were six tables seated and already being served, so we weren't to know we had to sit silently to ourselves until 7:30. Unfortunately, a business is only as good as the staff - especially those working out the front interacting with customers. The Farm has the potential to be incredible, but the 4 staff members we interacted with fell short. All 4 had an air of pretension about them, acting as if we were the privileged ones to be in their presence and at their establishment - instead of making us happy to part with our money for their service. Staff were deep in conversation with one another and were sipping their own coffees and eating their own food while we waited for ours. Even the floor manager was more concerned with sitting down for his own morning coffee and meal then assisting us, after several attempts to get his attention. Two tables of larger parties than our party of two were served their meals before us, even though we ordered first. My long black was served dripping all over the table and the food was good. Overall, quite disappointing. read more

From November 2018 - Very unique and I would recommend it but be careful what you order. My sandwich was $18 and and wasn't worth it.

Went here with a large group of family and friends and we were not disappointed. The setting was great outside with plenty of space for kids to play safely. Too crowded, too expensive for what it is, not enough, and not even tasty. Lack of authenticity, felt more like a factory than a farm.

Phenomenal cocktail list and amazing food, locally sourced and expertly prepared. Staff were friendly. Also bought fresh bread and butter from the store, in addition to delightful fresh flowers. Highly recommend the beef broth, which you can also purchase the base of in the store. Beers on tap were excellent. Will go back for sure. read more
