I really like to visit breweries in places I visit so when we happened by FDBC in Redding, I was intrigued by the awesome name. Located in an historic building, we found a spacious room with brick walls & lots of windows. There are a few TVs but not so many that it felt like a sports bar. The hostess let us know that they were really busy so our best bet would be sitting in the bar - which was completely fine. The bartender was very pleasant & let us sample 3-4 different beers from a digital menu that had 26 beers on it. I was impressed with how many styles of beer they serve - all brewed by FDBC. I don't remember if I have ever gone to a brewery & tasted 4 very different beers & absolutely loved all four. The Passive Aggressive is hands-down the best session IPA I've ever tasted. We also ordered food and it was excellent! The jury is still out (for me) on the city of Redding but I might go back just to visit FDBC. Recommend in the strongest possible terms. read more
