The restaurant is still one of my favorites in OC. The staff are always nice and friendly. The restaurant is well decorated and organized. We really like their Fire Sauce, live oysters and seafood combos. We will definitely come back often to try the rest of their menu. And hopefully they will add cocktails to the menu in the near future :)

I seriously found my new favorite place to eat!!!!!!!! they do not skip out on your sauce! It's so flavorful here all the crawfish are fat and juicy! The service is beyond amazing! Came here right when it opened and it was super clean inside!

I decided to try this place out cuz it caught my eye. Prices are pretty decent and portions are huge for 2 people. My friend and I got a pound of shrimp each with fire sauce along with some Cajun garlic fries which were my favorite. We also got their garlic noodles that we couldn't finish. Service was rlly fast and our server checked up on us often. Total amount came out to $67 which included 2 sodas and tax.

This is my favorite seafood boil restaurant in Orange County! Yes, more than Boiling Crab, Kickin' Crab, and other competitors. I think that Fire Crab has awesome service (shoutout Toan!!!!) and awesome, consistent food. I love the sauce here, which is abundant with fresh garlic and packed with the right amount of spices. There's also always very good attention to fresh seafood, especially the clams. OMG the clams here are always huge, fresh, and succulent. For stuff that's not seafood boil, I recommend their garlic noodles, garlic cajun fries, and garlic bread. I obviously love garlic very much!!

First time ordering togi from fire crab and it didn't disappoint. It was ready within 15 to 20 minutes. We ordered combo 1 - 1 lb fresh crawfish, 1 lb shrimp, and 1 lb clams. The moment the bag entered the car, it smelled delicious. We will definitely come back again. Maybe next time we will have the seafood cook for an extra one or two min longer for our taste.

Found this spot through Yelp since I didn't want to go to all the more social media famous restaurants and didn't want to do AYCE. Huge lot with plenty of parking in the same plaza as Star Kbbq and Red Castle. I went yesterday on a Tuesday evening and there were plenty of seats. Only 1 big party seated and others came in as we ate. We ordered 2 of the combo #1s: (2 lbs fresh crawfish, 1 lb head on shrimp, fire sauce, spicy) (1lb fresh crawfish, 1 lb head on shrimp, 1 lb mussel, fire sauce, medium), garlic noodles, and jalapeno poppers. We wanted frozen crawfish in 1 of the combos and clams, but they were out of both which was a bummer but fine. So we settled for mussels and I was expecting the green shell but once I saw it was black shell I was content. The flavoring of both were the same besides the spice levels. I also ordered a side of fire sauce in x-spicy. The fire sauce flavor is fire! I loved it! Not watery, not sweet, and not salty! I loveee how they didn't fully chop their garlics so there were a bunch of huge chunks inside. The spice levels were nice and bearable and you can taste the different levels. Same with the garlic noodles they were delicious and also included the huge garlic chunks. Coming back next time for sure and hopefully they have items in stock.

I've been coming here for a while and initially really loved it, which is why this is disappointing to write. Unfortunately, over my most recent visits, the quality has noticeably gone downhill. The lobster tail was overcooked, rubbery ,and had an extremely fishy taste. I also paid extra for live crawfish, but they did not taste fresh at all and had a bluish color to them. From what I understand, that can sometimes indicate they were previously frozen and then cooked, though I'm not 100% sure. Regardless, the quality was not what I expected, especially for the price. I hope the restaurant can address these issues and return to the quality it used to have.

Boyfriend and I came here today to celebrate my birthday! I was craving seafood boil and The Fire Crab was the only place I was able to find that was serving live Louisiana Crawfish! I had frozen crawfish once many years ago, and will never have it again lol. Anyways - onto the experience. The Service: We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We got there around 3:30 or so, so not busy as it's not normal lunch or dinner time. Which was great for us! We were seated right away. We ordered a Diet Coke and water for both of us to start off. May I add that our server was so attentive. While we were eating, when he noticed our drinks were less than half way full, he would automatically come by and offer to refill our drinks. He did also check on us to see if we needed anything and asked how the food was multiple times throughout our meal which I liked. We felt like our business was appreciated. Too bad I didn't get our server's name. The Food: We didn't order the Cajun fries, but the table next to us did. And when the server brought it to their table - ugh. It smelled so good! Will def have to order it next time. We ordered the Combo #4. Snow crab legs with 2 lbs shrimp, 1 lb crawfish, 2 corn, 2 potatoes and 4 sausages with an added lobster tail. We opted for Cajun medium and it was SO GOOD! I'm super happy we came here and will definitely come back next time I'm craving seafood boil. Bottom line - If you want great service and delicious seafood boil, def give this place a shot. They won't disappoint!

    Oyster shooters

We were craving crawfish last night and have been wanting to try this spot so we stopped by last night. They have a great selection of drinks that includes sake, soju, beers and alcoholic teas which I don't often see at crawfish places. We had their medium level crawfish and shrimp boil, hammersley, Fanny Bay and Kumamoto oysters, and Cajun garlic fries. We also had the Dynamite oysters. Unfortunately, I was too busy being in the moment and didn't get pictures of the food but they were delicious. The oysters were fresh and the house sauce for the crawfish/shrimp delivered just enough kick for my liking. I only stopped and took a picture of the oyster shooters because they were amazing! Often times places that do oyster shooters put the oysters in the shot glass itself. This place separates them which gives you an opportunity to enjoy the fresh oyster first before washing it down with the sake. I'm surprised we haven't previously had a chance to try this gem. Props to our server Ryan who was attentive and provided great service to our group. We'll definitely be back.

10/10 FLAVOR AND SERVICE! I got the shrimp 1lb with the fire sauce and it was amazing! I also got the garlic noodles and that a great too! Great spice and kick! I would recommend this place to all my friends as my favorite seafood boil!

I came here because I love fresh crawfish and called beforehand to see if they had it. I guess they always do because it's on the menu, which is a green flag for me! The menu is pretty modern and geared towards a younger crowd. I giggled at the "Child's Play" (mild) spice level, because seriously! Cajun Garlic Fries: 3/5 Came out fresh and crispy but honestly bland. I didn't taste the cajun seasoning and wouldn't order again if I came back. Combo 1: 3 lbs of crawfish, Fire Sauce, Spicy. The spice level was about a 6/10 for me. I had to ask for the extra spicy sauce on the side ($3), which added a bit of a kick but was more of a nose burn than a flavorful heat. One of the corns didn't taste as fresh as the other one but they made up for it by giving us an extra sausage haha Freshness: 5/5. The crawfish were steaming hot and really fresh, with lots of big ones. It took me 40 minutes to finish 3 pounds, and they stayed warm the whole time! Spiciness: 3/5. I love Szechuan spice and Thai chili peppers, so I expected more from their spiciest level. Service was great--they kept our water refilled without us having to ask and checked on us often. I will be back for the crawfish!

I ordered the Canyon Bomb flavor, which is usually what I get, but this time everything was overwhelmingly salty and honestly not enjoyable. The fact that the seafood had very little sauce was disappointing! I'm not usually the type to write reviews, but I felt the need to share my honest experience so the restaurant can improve. One of the biggest things for me is the space. When you're playing pool, you actually have room to move around unlike a lot of bars where you feel cramped. I also like that they have full size pool tables. Since I'm a bit taller, it just makes the whole experience of playing pool that much better. There's regular events and even a pool league on Tuesday nights, so there's always something going on. If you are not familiar with Garden Grove, this place is definitely a hidden gem. The food is top notch, but honestly the ambiance is what sets it apart from your average billiards bar. It is extremely clean, which is important to me, and there's plenty of space between you and other people whether you are playing pool or sitting down to eat. It really does feel like a playground for adults in the best way. I also like that it is family friendly. There's large tables that are perfect for crab boils and similar meals where they lay down wax paper and everyone can sit together and enjoy. When I was there, there was a group of kids celebrating a birthday, and at the same time there were adults playing pool and hanging out. The place is so big that it almost feels like there's separate areas for kids and adults, but it is all in one space and you do not even notice each other. That's how spacious it is. I have been here on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday evenings, and Friday nights, and it is always busy with great energy. The music selection is great too. And this next part is insane to me since I'm a huge fan of famous pool players. The legendary GOAT Efren Reyes is going to be there on April 26th playing pool and interacting with fans. I saw the flyer on the wall and immediately grabbed VIP tickets. I'll be lucky enough to say hi to him up close from the VIP section and watch him work his magic in person, which is just unreal to me. Definitely check out the Wharf, you won't regret it.

The restaurant was relatively empty when we went so we were seated immediately. There was only one man running around taking everyone order, but he was nice and attentive. The restaurant is spacious, there are also many pool tables on another half of the restaurant and bar seating. Now, the real deal is food. I have pretty high standard for seafood boil, and this did not meet that standard at all. However, it's all up to preference. Cajun seafood boil (we got crawfish): very bland. You can barely taste the Cajun. I like the punch of the savoriness of Cajun but this has barely any coating on the crawfish. It's not juicy, it's not marinated. The crawfish meat is also pretty bad, tasted close to spoil for some. I understand it's not seafood season, but I've been to other seafood places that can maintain their seafood quality even during off season, this is just not one of the places. Crawfish Mac n cheese: very cheesy, duh. But that's really it to it, not much flavor profile. Just cheese, Mac, and crawfish. And back with the dead dry crawfish that made it off putting. The Mac n cheese itself is pretty decent though, but don't expect a flavor explosion when eating it. Think of it like a dish for kids. Sweet potato fries: jyst my go to sides with my crawfish. It tasted like any sweet potato fries, yay!

First and foremost, the tables are reasonably spaced out and there's room to walk between them in the restaurant. If I get stuck behind chairs on my way to restroom and my hands are sticky for longer than they need to be, I'm going to end up screaming because that's a sensory nightmare, LMAO. I don't have that issue here because it ain't cramped andddd they even have an accessible ramp for our disabled folks. +10000 points for accessibility!!!!! Secondly, the restaurant plays pretty solid music (like 90s r&b, hehe) and the overall volume is respectable -- not overstimulatingly loud with yelling or speakers blaring like other spots. My friend and I were watching the FIFA World Cup final match between Spain and Argentina here, and were pleased that they had it streaming on every TV. It was different watching the game with music playing over it instead, but I'm not complaining. Okay now for the actual food portion of the review: a lot of people talk about how seafood boils and Boiling Crab's sauce specifically makes their stomach hurt. I'm pleased to announce that this is the only Boiling Crab that doesn't have me fighting for my life after dining here. The flavor is exquisite and seafood portions are just right. Idk what their chef is doing differently at this location, but I sure hope that they never stop doing it. During today's visit, we shared (1) lb shrimp and (1) lb snow crab in whole shabang sauce and mild spice level with sausage, potatoes, and corn. My friend also ordered gumbo and rice (because you gotta have rice). During past visits, I've gotten live crawfish and their crab fries. Love and recommend both! Lastly, the service is always amazing. Memorable servers in the past include David Duong and today's server was Jess. Both went above and beyond to make sure my dining experience was perfect, so I hope they get their roses for their hard work.
