Pretty solid restaurant. Good food. Service was decent. Nice ambiance and a good setup with the market and wine selection.

My first time going and I'll definitely come back when in the area. The service and food were great!

When we arrived we were seated within 5 minutes. It about 10 minutes for our waitress to take our order. Our waitress (Aimee) was very understanding and patient. She was such a sweetheart and recommended some great appetizers from the menu. The restaurant was elegant and clean. Also the restroom was clean. It took about 10 minutes before we received our appetizers and 20 minutes before we received our entrees, which wasn't bad considering that the restaurant was packed. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, the food was great, and we got our moneys worth!!

I was there today for early dinner and ordered Grilled Branzino with Hush Puppies, steamed cabbage and baked potato, love the cabbage and the fish just need a little salt for flavor, the server is attentive, the ambience is amazing. See the before and after pix and you'll be the judge.

We stopped in on a Saturday with friends for lunch. It was right about noon, and there was no wait. Fish Market is a local chain in Birmingham that is mostly seafood, some Greek food and some selections for those who don't like seafood or kids. It is a little pricey, and for some, what sides/options come with what entree and any fee associated with that may be a little confusing. Our experience at the restaurant was great, we had plenty of food and our server was very thorough and made certain we understood when food would come out but what was included, etc. This is a casual place that also has a patio for outdoor dining and does offer services for parties/large groups.

Agh. Its not bad but it isn't great. I decided on some of the specials and the angel oysters. I asked the waitress if the clam chowder was worth it, she didn't eat shellfish so this was without recommendation. If you are asking yourself if the clam chowder is worth it, the answer for me is no. I'm personally not a fan. The frog legs are a good size and the batter is seasoned well. The frog legs themselves are not so it throws them off a bit. The oysters were fine. Honestly every other place in town has a better version of these but they aren't bad. My server was very kind and the place is a buzz with families on a Sunday afternoon.

    Blackened yellowfin tuna, incredible!

Fantastic experience! Jen, the bartender was amazing - very knowledgeable, recommended great food, made great drinks! I would send anybody here that wants to have insanely fresh oysters, yellowfin tuna, shrimp... everything was great!

It's a small place with years of memorabilia on the walls. Every time I looked up, I saw something I hadn't seen before. I hope that they are able to share or keep as much of that as they can after they closed. They were pretty busy since they were within a couple days of closing. We started with the boudin, which I admit I didn't read it completely and thought we might be getting boudin balls. This boudin was the rice dish, and it was served with "ruffled" chips. I decided to use the boudin as a 'dip' and scooped it up with the chips. Ooo-ee that was good. I had the Blackened Shrimp with sides of red beans and rice and gouda grits. Washed it all down with an Abita Strawberry Lager.

You need to have somewhere with the dessert stated on your menu. Second, the butternut squash that I got with my fish, should've been done a touch more. It was still good. My friends arrived about 15 minutes before I did and were seated on the patio. When I arrived, the hostess escorted me to join them. We reviewed the menu and waited for our server to greet us, offer water, or take our drink order. That never happened. After sitting there for more than 35 minutes, not a single employee acknowledged our table. No server stopped by, no one offered water, and no one checked to see if we had been helped. We were essentially invisible. I finally had to get up and speak with the hostess, who immediately moved us inside. The manager came over, apologized sincerely for the oversight, and offered us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciated. While he handled the situation professionally once he became aware of it, it should never have reached that point in the first place. What was most disappointing wasn't the wait--it was feeling completely ignored. At a restaurant known for its exceptional service and premium dining experience, being overlooked for over half an hour without even a glass of water is unacceptable. I've always had excellent experiences at other Perry's locations, so this visit was especially surprising.
